Stopped by the bakery for the first time and was not disappointed. We picked up the Tres leches cake, chocolate chip cookie, peanut butter chocolate chip cookie, and the pecan sandie. The pecan sandie reminding me of the Mazapan candy as far as the texture, without all the sweetness. The cookies were delicious however did crumble easily compared to a traditional cookie, but I'm OK with that!! And the tres leches cake was delightful and doesn't have the overpowering sweetness. I stopped by keto bakery in Orange while I was on a work trip. I had heard about this bakery through a social media foodie influencer. When I entered the bakery I was greeted by staff. The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. I ordered a chocolate donut, chocolate chip cookie and chocolate brownie. The donut was soft, sweet and very good. The brownie was soft and delicious and the cookie was good. All three bakery items the chocolate was the star. You can really taste the chocolate come through all 3 bakery items. While the pastries were absolutely phenomenal, the young lady in the register was unfortunately lacking customer service . She was hovering around the counter , didn't acknowledge me and I felt like I had to go out of my way to ask her about the pastries . This is what made it less of a "pleasant experience " for me . This place is LIVE-CHANGING and LIVE-SAVING. Diabetics, you can eat everything here, and it is safe and delicious. I met the owner, Shaye, at a party. I told him I have gestational Diabetes and he said him and his wife has diabetes, and that's why they came out with Keto Bakery. He assured me I can eat an entire slice of cheesecake and it will not spike my blood sugar. The cheesecake was delicious, but I was really nervous because if he's wrong, it can really hurt my baby. But I tested my blood sugar and it's true! It was like I never had any desserts at all. The owner is very passionate and he explains that not only everything is sugar free, it is gluten free. He use almond flour on everything, and monk fruit instead of the other fake sugar that has shown to be bad for your health with prolonged use. I've had the cheesecake, tres leche, red velvet, flan, and tiramisu. The cheesecake is the BEST cheesecake, better than Cheesecake Factory because theirs is dry and dense because it is New York style. Keto Bakery cheesecake is Philadelphia style. My hubby found this bakery for me on Mother's Day and I am in heaven! So evicted to try this bakery because it's gluten free and most importantly ITS SUGAR FREE! so many selections! My favorites so far are the following: PB chocolate chip cookie, mango cheesecake, lemon bar, doughnut and banana muffin and least favorite so far are the carrot cakes and brownie. The carrot cake and brownie had a weird texture and too dry. The mango cheesecake and lemon were absolutely delicious! The PB choc chip has different texture than normal chocolate cookie but still very good. The banana nut muffin and doughnut was so good too, moist and so so good. I wanted to buy a piece of everything to try but that would probably cost me over $200 lol. I definitely recommend this bakery to all diabetic people looking for a sugar free bakery. I was disappointed with my cake. When we got there I asked what cake this was. The clerk said it was a carrot cake with cream cheese frosting. An couple of hours later maybe 3, cut it open and it was not a carrot cake. It had a mango filling and the frosting didn't even taste like cream cheese. How disappointing! I popped by Keto Bakery to picked up some sweet treats for a work colleague's baby shower. The bakery is in a little shopping center right on a main street, and once you walk in, you're greeted by the tall refrigerated shelves that display all their amazing sweet treats. They have a great array of keto desserts and pastries, like Mexican wedding cookies and lemon bars. I also saw they have hefty slices of tres leches cake, tiramisu, and different kinds of cheesecake, which looked so decadent (I will definitely be coming back for that tiramisu). The service was fine, the person who assisted me was really nice and patient when I was figuring out what to get: lemon bars, and a dozen cookies from their selection (chocolate chip, pecan chocolate chip, and peanut butter were what I got). I will be transparent and say I was super hesitant trying out keto desserts, but everyone (including myself) who tried the desserts enjoyed everything, and they were surprised it all tasted delicious! I was really hyped about this bakery opening in orange. I just got back to doing keto/low carb and there being a bakery that provides convenient items thrilled me. In my opinion I think it's best to have someone who is warm and inviting helping customers. I told the girl who helped me that it was my first time there and how excited I was to try it out and she just had a blank stare and didn't inform me of any of their items or that with a purchase you get free coffee. I came here on a Sunday afternoon around 12:30 and I saw they were plenty of parking and it was easy to access the shop. Upon arriving to the door and opening it there was a heavy smell of cinnamon and it smelled so delicious. It took me a while since there was a good assortment of baked goods, and I ended up trying the Tres leches cake, The original cheesecake, and the churro donut. This was the best bakery. I've tried that is keto around Orange County so far. I thought the baked goods were very moist and very flavorful and very similar to regular sugar goods. I highly recommend coming to this bakery. The staff are very nice and everything was not super expensive. The total for all my goodies, which is the Tres Leche, the cheesecake, and two churro donuts was around $28. Wish it was baked longer to have that chewy texture but it was soft. Still good though. 2) Peanut butter chocolate chip cookie was disgusting. The size was about 3 inches in diameter and FLAT! For $5. That's expensive. Not worth it. 3) Coconut almond bar was meehhhhh. The size was about 2 x 2 inches and 1/4 inch thick for $5. That's expensive. Not worth it. 4) Pizz roll was DISGUSTING and it cost $8.50!!!! It's the size of a Starbucks muffin. I will not be coming back. Wish you the best of luck. read more
