Came here for the first time with my wife and ordered the Good Morning weekday special (simple breakfast, but large portion) and the Dixie Deuces (another simple, but huge breakfast portion). Our bill came out to just under $19. Thats one of the cheapest breakfast that we've ever had. This bill would've been about $30-$35 back home in Hawaii. Our waitress is fast and very friendly. They have a lot of parking.

Facility needs some attention but the food is great. Huge portion on my chicken fried steak. I had excellent service. They serve Diet Dr Pepper, which is my favorite caffeinated beverage! Enjoyed my breakfast!

I had a great experience here several weeks ago! My husband picked me up from the hospital where I was visiting my father when we realized I hadn't eaten all day. We have wonderful memories of the Kettle when we used to live in the area, although it was normally the one in College Station. So when we passed by and saw an empty parking lot it seemed like the perfect place to decompress and get some food. The restaurant was empty, but this is probably pretty rare as it was a Wednesday night in January right before the students return. The gentleman at the front was greeting, serving and taking orders over the phone and there was one person in the kitchen. He had a wonderful personality, I wish I got his name. I think I heard him answer the phone saying his name was LeBron, but I was far enough away to not be positive I heard correctly. He was so very pleasant and knew when to check on us and when to give us space and was very informative. Considering he was doing almost everything, and I'm pretty sure somebody called in while we were there, I hope he gets a raise! It was a nice quiet place to get some good diner food and talk before getting back to taking care of things. We ordered off a daily special meu, which was smaller portions for smaller prices, but still plenty of food that we didn't clear both plates. I think that smaller menu, which wasn't in my pictures, was $9 and included a drink. The steak my husband got was small, but they definitely included plenty of fries. They had Heinz 57 instead of only A1, which is a plus in our book. The burger met my expectations for a diner burger and the tea was really tasty and refreshing. I know the chances of it being that quiet the next time we stop in are probably pretty slim, unless it's the summer or holidays, but it was a great visit and we will return- thank you Kettle!

I have never eaten at a Kettle Restaurant until this morning. I ordered the biscuits and gravy , with 2 eggs over easy , bacon and sausage. The breakfast was very tasty. When we arrived there was one other customer. The first thing I noticed was the place smelled like smoke. A good fresh coat of paint is indeed needed. You may wonder why 4 Stars? The food was good and our waitress was excellent! Our coffee cup never got below half full ! If you are ever in Bryan and need a good breakfast, go to the Kettle. Go get Full

We were BLOWN AWAY by the number of college students, dressed in their Sunday's best, openly praying over their food before enjoying some awesome chicken. It was SO NICE TO SEE! We ordered a family meal (20 pieces), 2 sides of fries and a chicken sandwich meal. We paid around $40. Great value! The food came out quick and arrived hot and fresh. I had a slight "issue" where I thought my chicken wasn't fully cooked and the manager reassured me that it was just breading but happily remade my sandwich to give me peace of mind. I REALLY appreciated that. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meals, literally leaving "not a fry left behind." The size of my chicken on the sandwich was HUGE- had to be hanging off the roll by 2" on each side! Staff were phenomenal. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. Love the laid back decor. Plenty of seating inside and some tables outdoors as well. Definitely recommend!

The Cookshack has a different vibe and feels more like a lunch or dinner spot, while Mess is the perfect breakfast place. Alright, who am I reviewing again? Right. The Cookshack has some great options, and my wife and I went for the Chicken & Waffles. I chose the hottest seasoning they had--pretty sure it was ghost pepper--and yeah, it was spicy but didn't make me miserable. There was a lot of food, and it definitely filled us up. My wife got mac n cheese with hers and really enjoyed every bite. The cashier was nice and attentive. The atmosphere is great for a lunch or dinner date. Plus, they have large booths, which we really appreciate.

My husband flagged down another waitress after we had been sitting there for 15 minutes without any water or drinks. We also had to flag her down for the check. Greater was very apologetic for not sitting us right away but told us a 5 -10 minute wait would help them better serve us. Well said and kitchen thanks you for not stacking tables. You can tell they have well trained staff. They kept up with the business. You could tell the kitchen expo was on point because everything came out together hot and freshly garnished. Well orchestrated firing, plating, and serving. We enjoyed everything but especially the appetizers (fried green tomatoes and calamari). Of course one person had to get the chicken fried steak. I had the salmon....we finished off everything it was so good.

The Burger house... or should I say Shack cause that's what it looks like !…read more I was in C station trying to find a good burger place. I used to live around Hempstead, Prairie view and Waller a couple years ago when I first came to Texas and it was kinda hard finding good places to eat ' I'm not gonna lie I was scouring yelp for about 30 mins before I stumbled across Burger House. I even got to the point where I asked some locals and they said Burger House was a burger staple in C station. Upon looking at the photos, it seemed like a burger that you make at the house to be candid. When I pulled up, I was like "oh wow this place look like a straight shack that's fasho." I decided to go through the drive-through & when I pulled up to the drive-through the gentleman who took my order was hella welcoming and just overall nice like he was happy I pulled up. I swear I was the highlight of my visit. I ended up getting the combo , bacon cheeseburger with fries and a drink, and it was for decent price too. The burger itself was mediocre if I'm being honest, the meat lacked some seasoning, though the fries were pretty decent with a soft inside, light crisp outside. I like the fact they put the lettuce, tomato, onion and pickles on the side instead of in the burger which can make it soggy. So there was some attention to detail. The Bun though? That thang was soft on the outside and was lightly toasted on the inside, which was dope. Would I be back? If I'm being honest, just to say wasup to the gentlemen who took my order and that's about it!
