Wow! I was once again totally impressed! I took my truck to another mechanic cause he could get me in right away ... and I ran. Waited for an appointment and my gut was right! They were going to charge twice as much and not even fix it correctly. They were saying I needed a caliper. Kevin's said "no you don't." 8 feet of brake line was the culprit. Sad that Kevin passed away. Since then, service has gone downhill. Had brake issues, said I needed $2000 work done, replacing most of the front parts. After paying that, still had brake issues. Paid $1000 more for unnecessary part replacements. Now I have a rapid-fire sound when applying brakes. Called back and left messages to report it and never received a call back plus the mechanic broke my hood latch. I can't believe that Lisa would have anything to do with this so has to be the son. VERY BAD BUSINESS! Took it elsewhere and found most of what they did wasn't needed. Kevin's Auto Repair needs to be renamed to Let's Make It Worse or Costs You an Arm and A Leg! Never going back and will not recommend. read more

Don't let the looks scare you away- this place provides a quality service at an affordable price. One of our cars was making some squealing noises in two different places. They diagnosed the vehicle with needing to replace the brakes, and found the source of one of the squeals to be a broken part, and removed it- which stopped the noise. Great value- feel like I probably would have paid substantially more at chain place for the same service I got here. The communication was also great. Will definitely be using them for any other mechanical needs my car may have in the future. read more

I've had good experiences in the past here but not anymore. Towed my truck there after I couldn't figure out the brakes. I had put the calipers on backwards, didn't even know that could happen. The brakes worked fine for a day then they fell off. After reaching out, Kevin's said bring the truck to them and they would take a look. It costs to tow a vehicle it costs having down time. These guys are as bad as the shade tree mechanic that put the brakes on backwards. They should change the name. The old reputation they had was built on someone else's shoulders. I would pass on this place unless you think not tightening your brake bolts is acceptable. Mistakes happen but if I have to pay for the tow they aren't really taking any responsibility. Change the name to whoever is turning the wrenches and let them build their own reputation. read more

My mom's car was in need of some major repairs. We've had some not-so-great experiences at nearby chains and my brother has been a long time customer, so I decided to finally give them a try. Even though the repairs were expensive, they never made me feel pressured to go ahead with anything and everything they quoted seemed very reasonable. The repairs were done quickly and they were really responsive. Hopefully I'm done with repairs for awhile but I would definitely recommend bringing your car here. They are only open Monday-Friday but they do have a key drop so you can drop your car off after hours. read more

My brakes began making a VERY loud squealing noise on Saturday late, so Sunday (without calling ahead), I dropped my car off at Kevin's and left a voice mail message asking them to contact me about the problem. The shop opened at 7:30am Monday morning, and by 9:30am the called me with a diagnosis (needed new rotors and pads). Based on experiences with other shops, I expected them to hang onto the car for at least a week or more, but they said they could be done within an hour or so and the price was VERY competitive with what we have paid for the same work elsewhere. It's been a couple of days and I've had no issues. I would recommend them to anyone for fast, reasonably priced service. read more

I can't say enough about Kevin's Auto Repair and their Office Staff. My car is my only vehicle and it was overheating. They found that the problem was actually due to a previous repair by another shop. They worked with the other shop to the end result of my car being repaired. On more than a few occasions, I assumed the worst and it ended up being less work and money than I feared. They are an honest repair place and they work hard. Double check the work. I took my truck to them because the heat wouldn't work, they said it needed a new radiator...they changed it but it didn't fix it...they gave it back as if it worked. I called, said it still didn't work, they said bring back in and they said it was heater core..not sure if radiator replacement was really needed. I also asked 4 times for Kevin to call me back and he never did. Against my best judgement I took it back because it needed a tuneup and a coil pack went bad and the engine light was on and cigarette lighter not working. I suspected it was a fuse. They said need a new cigarette lighter..and tune up. They performed the work I picked it up..car ran better but engine light was still on and cigarette lighter still not working. It's like they don't check to see if what they did fixed the problem. I don't think I will go there again. read more

I have to say, Kevin's auto shop did an awesome job of repairing my vehicle. I was excited to get back on the road. But upon receiving the keys and preparing to leave, I did a quick inspection of the engine bay just to look around. And I'm glade I did. Reason being, when I went to close the hood of the vehicle it didn't latch. I tried serval times to close the hood. Which was very odd because I've never had issues with it before. While I'm trying over and over again. Out of no where, with no words. One of the mechanics walks up and proceeds to fix the issue. He left and came back with a screw driver and "jimmy'd" the latch for it to close. When I asked "what happened to the hood". He's response to me was that "it's an older car". Which was not what I expected. I'm not sure what happened during the process of fixing the vehicle. But it felt as though they knew they broken it. Which was probably why they came out in the first place and immediately had the fix. All is fine, accidents happen. We're human. But the principal here is that, I felt like I was lied too. I can only speculate why, and they probably thought I was naïve or didn't know any better. Needless to say, I went home. I wasn't going to spend the energy arguing, nor the EXTRA time. Kevin has worked on my car twice and did a good job. Once, when an engine light came on, I stopped by and he put a tester on my car at no charge. I don't know much about car repairs but I know that he fixed my car and the price was comparable to other places (I called around). The only reason I don't give him 4 stars is that both times he actually worked on my car, I had to wait several days for an appointment as his shop is very busy. Kevin's is a local business, not a chain or dealership, so if you support local venders, this is definitely a place to go. read more
