Food was underwhelming. Staff was friendly but got everything I ordered wrong. Burger was frozen and overcooked. Steak was frozen steakums. Tuna was not that great. Ehhh came here because plane janes had huge line. So very busy and not really sure why. I ordered the cheeseburger omelette that came with nothing just cheese paper thin and lacking any type of flavor. Tomatoes must've been old. The color was off. Just not good I ordered pancakes which I could break a window with. They were so hard and ice cold. Coffee was cold. The water was delicious, but that's about all I can say about this place. We had a friendly and attentive server with dark hair in braids. She made the get-together enjoyable. 4 senior citizens had many specific requests, and she took care of them all like a champ. Second time there. First was great even though it was packed and we waited a little. Food is really good!! We had breakfast both times. I had a veggie omelette scrambled with chorizo sausage. My daughter had French toast and French fries (A low carb breakfast) my son had Irish Benni with steak tips. And my wife had regular Benni. It was cooked perfect! Got a BLT wrap with no mayo, it was so wet the it turned to mush and I couldn't pick it up. Also would be great if they used a cheese other than kraft singles. One star is for the waitress who was very nice. That's where it ends however. The food was horrible . Biscuits and gravy were inedible and left untouched Steak tip salad had two pathetic steak tips on it and a whole lot of tomatoes that weren't even ripe. It was a disaster, I ate the lettuce. My son ate his omelette which was ok. When you go over to check on a table and see they haven't eaten the majority of the food you should ask what's wrong and if you can get them something else. Horrible experience on Father`s Day! We went to this place for the first time and let me tell you - we will not come back! We waited for our breakfast for over an hour! We were not told that the wait would be that long, nor we got updates when the breakfast would be served. We have a 18-months old daughter and we ordered a pancake and a cut banana for her. No food was brought to us, is it so difficult to cut a banana ?? Do you need an hour to do that? Our server didn`t tell us how long to wait and just kept running and saying "one more minute". We left after waiting for an hour and 15 minutes and when the waitress saw us leaving, she just said "oh, Ok!" No apologies, nothing! Our baby was fussing and she saw that, why don`t you bring her food at least? Like I said, if someone would of told us we have to wait for so long, do you think we would be sitting outside in the heat with our baby for over an hour? We left hungry, waisted our time and the Holiday was ruined! read more

I've been to this restaurant several times and would like to share my thoughts. Pros: Price: The food is decently priced in my opinion. For two adults and a child the bill ends up being a little over 20 dollars. We order toast, pancakes, coffee, 2 orange juice and multiple sides. Seat yourself: I like being able to choose my seat in a restaurant. Staff: There is one waitress in particular (Thin, blonde hair with bangs usually in a ponytail) who is excellent. She takes great care of us when we are there. Even when the restaurant is full, she tops off our drinks and checks in several times. She is also very kind to our child which I love. There's another waitress who we've had who is also very nice. Cons: Menu: The menu could definitely use some updating. Food: I really wish there were some healthy options like a fruit bowl or yogurt. The only fruit they offer as a side is a banana which doesn't really taste fresh. The toast has a little too much butter on it. Thank you for reading! read more

My family and I just moved to the Plymouth/Carver area, so we are on a mission to try out the local flavor. Our original place was to go to Plane Jane's across the street, however, they were closed due the holiday. So we started to drive back and Kevin's sign caught my eye and we pulled in. I must say, I'm glad we went to Kevin's! The atmosphere is extremely welcoming, has a warm feeling too it. You can tell alot of the locals go there regularly. It just has that welcoming feeling to it that I can't describe. The waitress was very nice, attentive and even though it was pretty busy, she did check up on up whenever she could. The food was phenomenal. I ordered a philly steak and cheese breakfast. My girlfriend ordered this meal that has a bagel, covered with cheese, corn beefed hash, with hash brown (I can't remember the name of the meal) and my daughter ordered the Plymouth, which was 2 eggs, pancakes, home fries. The food was cooked to perfection and even my daughter whom is a very picky eater loved her meal. There was a minor hiccup where our waitress misunderstood the order my daughter wanted, but she corrected the mistake after. She was so nice to us. I overheard a customer ordering iced coffee, so I decided to give it a try and it actually tasted great, definitely better than Dunkin Donuts. Top it all, the price came out to what I expected. To wrap my review up, My family and I will be coming back again to try the other menu options. We cannot wait to go there in the winter and have breakfast by the fireplace they have set up there. read more

The only reason that this place didn't get one star is that the food at least came out hot, which, if you have every been a breakfast cook, is hard to do. When we got there, the place was only about half-full yet there were two parties waiting. There was no "please wait to be seated "sign and no host so that was a little confusing. We noticed there was only one waitress and what looks like one manager around, and a busboy clearing tables with no bus bucket so he had to make several trips to get each table clean. We waited 20 minutes and when we finally got a table the waitress merely pointed to the table offering no menus so after about five minutes we got up and got our own. The waitress came over a full 10 minutes later and brought coffee, we told her we were ready to order and she said she would be back in a second. She wasn't, she just went to another table to take the order first. The food came 25 minutes after we ordered, for the most part it was mediocre, an order of French toast consisted of one piece of toast with no butter anywhere to be found. The hashbrowns weren't the kind you would expect in a nice little breakfast place, they were more like the frozen ones you get at McDonald's and only one was served as a side dish. I ordered the eggs Benedict which were OK but the plate look nothing like the picture there was no garnish on it and the meal only about half filled the plate. I went to pick up my knife and there was a hunk of leftover food encrusted on it from the previous diner I assumed. My kids pancakes came with no butter as well and of course with only one waitress we couldn't flag anyone down to get any so they ate them without butter anyway. Even though the place seemed fairly clean there were two flies that kept buzzing around my son's head which was very annoying as well. We did wait about 10 minutes after the busboy clear the table to get the check from the waitress. Overall, I know there is not much competition in Carver but if there was I don't think Kevin's would be around very much longer. read more

I have been going to this restaurant off and on for over a year. I thought I wrote a review before and was going to update it, but found I never wrote one. When I started going to Kevin's I really enjoyed the fact that it was a local place with lots of local characters. The service was good and so was the food. In the past few months, the service has gotten worse and worse. I'm not why a restaurant that is only open for breakfast and lunch would have only one server on in the morning. Many people in the area go to breakfast early. I was there one day and counted over 30 people in the restaurant with one server running around like crazy. Ordering took forever and then a long time to get the food. We never did get a 2nd cup of coffee - I almost got up to get it myself. I felt horrible for the server. Something must be going on as Kevin does not seem to be able to keep servers. I know he tried to switch up the menu a little, but not sure if took off. ' My father who always enjoyed going to Kevin's about once a week, does not even ask about going there any more. I want Kevin to succeed as there are not many restaurants in this part of town, but I don't want to wait 45 minutes for breakfast. read more

We've been several times. Medium quality diner breakfast food, but fine. Our visit last weekend will be our last though. The service has steadily declined and has become ridiculously bad for a place that small. Our server didn't offer us coffee refills once and we waited a long time for our meal. Given this place a fair shot 5 or so times but each time the service is horrible and the place is beyond disorganized. I give it one star because after today's incident our meal was comped. Today I went to pay my bill with my debit card and we waited for our server to return but she never did. Instead she was frantically tearing the place apart looking for my card which she has misplaced. I was simply told to leave my information and to cancel my card. Easier said then done on a Sunday! Finally after a long wait another patron found my card on the window sill near her table. Not good. I was thankful the owner comped our meal but it's quite obvious the severs need more training.
