KPCU, where have you been all my banking life??? Had I known financial services could be SO AMAZING, I would have switched to KPCU years ago! I was looking for a HELOC and saw they had great rates, so I went into the branch to ask for more details. Kenneth Nakamura was super friendly (and not pushy). He answered all of my questions, and gave me all the information I needed. When I asked how long it typically takes from application to funding, my jaw fell open when Kenneth told me about 3 weeks. Yes, just 3 weeks. Bank of America told me 3 to 4 MONTHS, and they also had higher rates. After filling out the application, I heard from Jonathan Louie a few days later. He's the guy who handles HELOC applications. Kenneth even followed up to make sure Jonathan followed up. Jonathan was great at communicating what was required, and replied very quickly to my emails. I missed the notary's call because I didn't recognize the number, and thought it was a spam call. Good thing Jonathan followed up with me, otherwise I wouldn't have known. Aside from my error of missing the notary's call adding a few days' delay, it would have been three weeks to funding. I also had to do a couple of wire transfers, and was stunned again when things were handled in hours. I'm used to other financial institutions having issues with miscommunication and follow up, and then that leads to delays of a day or two. The KPCU process was very easy and smooth to do online. Both Sarah Avila and Sylvia Pacheco helped me with verifying the wire transfers. In addition to being knowledgeable and helpful, they were both very friendly. At KPCU, I feel like I'm banking in a small town in the 1950s where everybody knows your name and waves to you as you walk by. My experience with KPCU has been incredibly friendly, neighborly and efficient. read more

One of the best experiences I ever had as far as banking. I purchased a new vehicle so I thought dealer would take care of my loan, i was wrong. I absolutely LOVE this credit union! So I used to belong to the big chain banks like Wells Fargo and Bank of America but I got so fed up with all the fees and poor service that I decided it's time for me to switch to a smaller credit union environment for all of my banking. This was a great choice which I'm very happy about! Everyone who works there is so personable and really nice! I love Angela and Ken who's been serving me since day one. They always help me whenever I need it. I had to go in the branch today to stop payment on a check and they even waived my stop payment fee. I know BofA or Wells would never do this for me. I love the small personable feel you get when you go into the branch. Although I don't need to go in there often because I do most of my banking online now, my experience with them makes me want to go in more often just to see Angela and Ken because they are not only helpful but really cool people! Last but definitely not least, this year they started a new program for kids where on their birthday they can go into the branch and grab as many quarters as they can from a jar with one hand. The amount of quarters you get will be credited to their bank account. My daughter and son absolutely LOVED this and they were so excited when they got to do it. This is what I'm talking about. Customer service is always on point but more importantly they are all about treating their customers with respect and doing good things for us.
