They are not cheap and frequently there would be equipment not working etc so I'm not getting the full value for my dollars spent. I wanted a self-service style and after some searching around I found Washoe Wash. I was very pleased with the experience here. The facility is clean and everything works! The water is heated (score!) and there are a wide range of options to select from (rinse, soap, wax, engine cleaner etc). Pricing is very fair ($4 for the first 3 1/2 minutes then buck a minute to extend. There's ample parking to towel off the car, or they have a high powered air blaster thingy if that's your jam. I also saw an automatic touches full-wash machine in one of the bays. This will be my go-to place of business for winter car washes!

When the Magic Crew is working on a 150k Porsche they are not going to stop work and talk to you, they are in the middle of a job. If you go to a doctors office it's the same concept. There's usually no line, which I really appreciate. The car wash itself isn't anything fancy, but it gets the job done. They also offer self-serve vacuum stations, which are great and easy to use. Every employee I've interacted with has been super friendly and welcoming, which makes the experience even better. The only downside I've noticed is at the very end of the wash -- when someone helps dry the car. That part feels a bit unpolished compared to the rest of the operation. It's not a dealbreaker, just something that could be improved.
