Visit and food were OK. I am wishing for one thing when coming to KFC, just get the order right. Food of KFC taste the same on every visit. And their prices are good for what you get in return. I was on the back end of a two hour road trip and wanted a small bite to get me over the last hump of it I didn't plan to stop any place particular but once I turned on the street this was the only restaurant easily accessible to get in and back out on the road I needed to be on. I was in there a few weeks ago and I was placing my order when this female employee opened the door and started yelling across the store for the cashier to get this guy walking in a cup for water cause his dog was dying of thirst. The Cashier kinda looked at her weird and say something about being in the middle of an order (which we were). She yelled again across the Semi full lobby. I told him it was fine he could handle the rude employer's request. So as I was finishing my order she walks in and starts yelling at him about it not being that hard to hand someone a cup. Okay first off he was dealing with a PAYING customer. Second off she was yelling across the store. And third she wasn't just disrespectful toward him but myself and everyone else in the lobby. So that was part one of the experiences. Part two just discussed me. So I went up to order some cookies for my son and I saw what I assume to be the manger sitting in the floor to what I assumed to be the office. First of the floor in the lobby was sticky and gross so I can oonly imagine the floor behind the counter is just as gross. Wednesday 8pm May 6th 2020. Boys wanted Chicken for dinner so we all agreed on KFC. So we went online to see what our choices were to save time. Figured on the 8pc bucket family meal for around $22.. It said free delivery for anything over $20 so thinking this was a decent deal. I start ordering and at the end comes to $32.77, WTF!! $22.49 for the meal, $2.81 for the service fee, $3.99 for the Delivery fee, tax 1.35 and get this a MANDATORY TIP FOR $6.12.. Thats right BEFORE I GET MY FOOD! they did subtract $3.99 for the delivery fee.. for the $32.77 total. What a SCAM!! talk about bait and switch on ya. They are taking notes from the phone company on this one. So anyway I decided I am not spending that $ to drive mile to my house, especially when multiple deliveries are being made at the same time. So i drive there get in line which noone was in front of me. They come on the speaker and say "would you like to try our 30pc family menu" I said nope give me the 8pc family meal... no answer... car at this time pulls up.. nothing.. I said excuse me are you there.... silence.. looked at my phone, looked at sky, 2 more cars are now behind me and I realized I been sitting there for 8 minutes longer at that time(not total time).. That's A LONG TIME for a drive through!!! I spoke up and asked if they was still in business because If they keep this up they won't be for long. I had enough and went to Popeyes.. Kinda agitated because Popeyes are little higher but in my opinion its better than KFC. They are really going down hill alot!! I ordered the pot pie $5 fill up and a small order of potato wedges. At the window I was told the total of my order was $5.52. When I received my order and paid, the worker threw away my receipt without offering it to me at all. When I finally got their attention and asked for the receipt, she pulled out a crumpled revenues FROM THE TRASH and handed it to me. Not only is this a gravely disgusting and unclean practice, but I found out the reason this happened was because they charged me a completely different amount than what they said was the total. While they asked me for $5.52, I was charged $6.36. I understand mistakes happen, but instead of them informing me, they charged me something different and tried to hide this fact. Checking the prices, the $6.36 should be the right price, but the told me a different amount twice and charged me an amount they never said nor showed. It would have taken a few seconds to explain that this was the correct total BEFORE charging me something else and then trying to get rid of the evidence. Once I drove off, I realized I didn't even receive my whole order. The cookie that is a part of the $5 was not packed in my order. There were two items on my receipt (the one they dug out of the trash to hand me) and they couldn't even get that right. My experience was not only disgusting, but I was also overcharged from what I was told was the total and then also was not given what I paid for. Would not recommend anyone go to this KFC ever. It's disgusting and pathetic that the workers do not know it is severely unsanitary to pull something out of the trash and hand it to a customer. I am utterly repulsed and disappointed. read more

I'm embarrassed to say that KFC used to be a staple food when I was in the Navy. Me and a bunch of friends would pick up a 20 piece bucket, load up on beer and watch the game at some cheap hotel. When I left the military I left most of my bad habits behind including greasy KFC chicken. I don't know what possessed me but I got a hankering for bad cholesterol and decided to go back. I picked up a 8 piece bucket of boneless original, some home fries and Coleslaw at the Waverly Avenue location in Frederick, Maryland. It set me back 23 dollars. "That's okay" I thought, "I'm about to re-live some fond memories." It must have been the Lowenbrau because this stuff was just god awful. The biscuits had a weird smell that I can only hope wasn't mold because I actually took a bite. The original recipe was saltier than I remembered and the home fries were almost as bad as the biscuits. I didn't have the nerve to try the Coleslaw. I'm not one to toss out food but my stomach was warning me not to take another bite. If I had a dog I would probably have left it for him but something tells me even the dog wouldn't eat this stuff. My husband and I are former employees at KFC. Tonight we stopped there after shopping to get a quick bite to eat. The young man who took and packed our orders was wonderful. However I wanted to say hi to an old manager and someone I called a friend and was horribly disrespected by her and her sister. There names are Mary and Rose. Mary hid in the back office from us and Rose gave us nasty looks because of the way my husband ended his employment over a year ago. Regardless of the past we were paying customers and deserve to be treated as such! I will be calling the store to talk to the general manager Yessenia. Also I overheard Rose and Mary say to the young man who waited on us to lock the doors after we leave and it was only 9:30pm and the lobby doesn't close until 10pm. That will be the last time I ever go to that location. I and my husband felt completely disrespected and unwanted. this place for me is great. sure it may be messy at times , but hey what fast food isnt? what draws me back to this place again and again is the employees who I now gotten to know. well, maybe just one of them. I have been going to this KFC for a long time and many many times before. but however , for a long period , KFC removed the crispy strips and replaced them with original strips. bad move on their part. however , last weekend , I found out that they actually brought the crispy strips back and all original strips on their menu is gone. X3 YAY!!! thats very good news since I have now tasted them and its sooo delicious. my quotes for KFC has always been this : welcome to a place of heavenly delight. the crispy strips is so juciy and tender that it makes your mouth water in a pleasure delight of steaming crunchy goodness that fills the soul. the potato wedges as you bu it into them are so crunchy and juicey that its so mouth watering good that it lightens your mouth with every bite with a wild sense of satisfaction. but hey , I have been going to KFC since I was in middle school. I still remember the Star Wars Episode I The Phantom Menace promotion they had back in 1999. every time I bring it up , the employees at both KFC's in frederick always tell me the story of their star wars signs being stolen. good times , still a loyal customer , and such great food. thats why Kentucky Fried Chicken is always finger lickin good. read more
