When we got home and opened our boxes to eat our dinner what we found was cold over cooked dry chicken that we could not eat. Actually my first time having KFC ever! This location also sells Taco Bell which I guess is pretty convenient and seemed popular + highest rating in the area for KFC. Lots of inside seating and workers were friendly Saw there's a deal for 8 chicken thighs/ drumsticks for $10 on Tuesday so we got that. Very hot and fresh! It's seasoned but taste like salt and extra black pepper. Very crispy but some parts of the chicken skin separated on some pieces. Chicken itself was cooked very well, tender and juicy! I actually liked it a lot but it does feel more oily than other fried chicken places as you eat more especially 3/5 French fries - not that hot and taste a bit stale. Not the worst 1.5/5 Mashed potatoes and gravy - liquids and grainy texture on the potatoes that I'm not super confident are fully potatoes. Today we got a 12 piece bucket at 40% off and I have to say it is the best fried chicken I've ever had from here. It is so fresh! Their new little apple pie thingamajigs are really good too. Great customer service I had an online order that was ready in five minutes! The only reason I'm not giving five stars is because the young man did not offer me taco sauce with my taco and I had to come in and get it. No big deal though everybody was very nice. We had a late dinner! Ordered KFC and the food was just nasty. It was like the chicken was RE-dipped in grease and RE-cooked, SOMEHOW all the skin was OFF the chicken, Again, it was extremely greasy. Used to be my go to fast food place because the famous bowl meal was so cheap. Was $5 for a bowl, drink, and cookie. Then went up to $6 and took away the cookie. Now it's $8 for just a bowl and a drink. Will not support this business anymore. The chicken nuggets were dry and the chicken taco roll ups that are new were nasty. Not good! They also didn't have any sweet tea after I ordered it. I'm so not drink soda so I had to waste my money as the guy didn't even ask me if I wanted a refund he just apologized. My son had Taco Bell and he said it was good however. I definitely will stick with Popeyes for chicken they have never let me down. Oh and the reason I went here was for the chicken wings that they don't have anymore. No more for me! KFC passed my price point for chicken a while ago, but I occasionally got cole slaw. I got some last week, and got some more this afternoon for a party. We have usually enjoyed our KFC bucket and sides but tonight was the exception. Chicken, cole slaw and mashed potatoes were fine. Whoever packed the gravy didn't get the top on the container and we got home with the containers swimming in a bag of gravy. Biscuits, one of the best reasons to eat KFC, seem to have been made yesterday and kept under a heat lamp, dried out and tough. Come on, you can do better!! read more

I visited KFC #K071142 in the evening on 31 Mar and decided to wash my hands before placing my order. As I was drying my hands in the restroom, I observed an employee exiting a stall and leaving the restroom without washing his hands. I left the restroom right behind him and watched as he immediately went to the register and began taking orders, then assisting the rest of the staff in packing customer food orders. I called the employee over and reminded him that he is required to wash his hands anytime he uses the restroom. His reply was that he used sanitizer as he entered the kitchen. I said this was not enough and that his hands could have fecal matter on them. He refused to wash his hands and responded, "Would you like to place an order?" I asked to speak with the shift supervisor at that point. The supervisor eventually came over to talk to me and I explained the situation while the employee continued taking orders and handling food in the kitchen. The supervisor agreed he should have washed his hands and promised to "speak with him". He took no other action though until I demanded that the employee be removed from the kitchen until he washed his hands, which he finally did. I also observed the supervisor continuously handling potato wedges and other prepared foods with his bare hands (actual food, not just containers) and the first employee moving back and forth between handling cash and food without washing his hands. These are all violations according to the Virginia health code. I informed the supervisor that I would be filing a complaint with KFC and the local health department and left the store. I filed a complaint with KFC HQ late that night and followed up by phone on 6 Apr, noting that no one had contacted me about this issue or provided any feedback. I was assured that my case would be marked "Urgent" and that I would receive a call shortly. As of today, 9 Apr, I still have not heard from KFC. The issues I identified during my visit at this store are serious violations of the Virginia health code and have potential to result in the spread of disease and injury to KFC customers (anyone remember what happened with Chipotle?). KFC does not seem to feel that it is important to train their employees and to provide supervision to ensure proper sanitation procedures are followed though, nor are they responsive to customer complaints in this area. I have called the local health department and will relay my observations and concerns to them. I'm pretty sure they will handle this with the proper sense of urgency. read more

Yeah I am sick and tired of this place. Stopped going here nearly a year ago because they're allergic to getting the order right - and lord knows the food is hardly anything close to fresh - and after stupidly stopping by while grocery shopping, I confirmed that nothing has changed. Ordered a 3 piece Nashville Hot Tenders meal with a diet coke for around 6.50 after tax (rip off if you ask me) and I expected to get what was in the picture: 3 Nashville Hot Tenders, Medium Drink, and Mash/Gravy. Nope. Instead I got the grossest, stalest, days old steak fries that immediately turned my stomach into a war zone (Those and the nasty stale biscuit went into the trash; my stomach thanked me for it). I assumed that maybe the cashier put in the wrong order and keyed in stale nasty fries instead of mash/gravy (not that their poor man's porridge is anything to brag about anyways) but NOPE it said right on the receipt mash/gravy. Pretty clear they're just offloading some of the old stale garbage that should have been tossed. Thanks for reminding me why I stopped eating at this location ( and lord knows the quality of the garbage they dish out is why I stopped eating KFC/Taco Bell entirely). My stomach is going to hell in a handbasket as I write this so all i can say is: Lesson Learned. It's a hard pass from me. read more

I'm not surprised to see some of the reviews on service here, but it's not THAT bad. There can often be a line, especially at night, and it will take a while to get your food. But it's often because most of the cars that come through here will have multiple people all making an individual order. I wish drive-thrus would enforce the one order per car rule, but I can't knock them for this - every drive-thru in Manassas allows this to happen. I've been here probably 100 times, and 95% of the time the service is OK. Food quality for both the Kentucky and Bell are on par with other locations. And the grilled chicken is your best bet for fast food on a low-carb diet. read more

Let me first start by saying that REAL chicken places cook their food to order. Not leave it under a heating lamp for hours. I ordered 10 hot wings from this place about 2 weeks ago, and the guy on the intercom says, "Let me see if we have any ready." Then, he comes back and says, "Yes, we have some." Got home and all 10 wings were brick hard! Took one bite out of each and just tossed them! My guess? Those wings were fried hours prior and nobody bought them. So they sat and sat until the heating lamp dried them out. Ridiculous! My suggestion would be to ask them to drop some fresh chicken in the grease. This is the KFC closest to me, the food is mediocre. I'm not going to write a review on the chicken because I'm not a fan of chicken in general. When I was younger I came here at least once a month with my mom and I remember the biscuits, mashed potatoes, and coleslaw being heavenly. Don't know what happened but I came here two days ago and had their $5 box which is actually new (at least since the last time I came here) in it I got a chicken thigh, leg, mashed potatoes, a biscuit, and a cookie. The mashed potatoes didn't really taste like mashed potatoes they were more of a liquid than a solid and the biscuit, well I'll just say that Popeyes biscuits are better. They aren't as good as I remember. They have a new signature sauce (new to me) called finger lickin' good (FLG) it's pretty good. It tastes like gravy. I wanted to write this review because the boy at the register was very friendly and patient with my friend and I (we left exactly at closing), also very patient when he took my order and wished us a good night. Probably the friendliest employee there since ever. Only complaint really besides the food not being up to par is that a lot of times the employees take forever to get to the register because they're either working on drive thru or something else. I didn't have to wait this time but I saw a customer did and it has happened to me (several times before). Not a bad service but their products were very unsatisfying. They are inconsistent. Most of the time their chicken is not fresh. On 3 separate occasions when I asked for grilled chicken they would say either oven is out of order or they were out of grilled chicken. It is very convenient for us to get their chicken because we just live a few blocks from Dumfries Road location. I would not patronize this location anymore. That one in Sudley is a little bit better. That was happens when the Restaurant is not good, most of customer would not patronize that Restaurant but some are not aware they would until they realize they made a bad choice. read more
