I thought I would give this KFC another try since I have complained to their corporate office 6 years ago. I thought that they would have improved but they have not improved. Last month and yesterday I ordered 2 different times and it's the same thing. The original chicken pieces and tenders have no seasonings at all. They were very bland. The only good thing about the chicken pieces and the chicken tenders was their texture was good. The chicken tenders and pieces were still cold. The other things like their potato wedges were good, but not seasoned at all either and the coleslaw was good too. They need to learn how to season their chicken. This KFC on route 1 in Saugus, MA puts their old heat-lamp-shrunk chicken in the bottom of bucket orders and covers them with freshly cooked chicken to get rid of them... They are essentially duping customers and ripping them off so they don't eat the loss of chicken that would be rejected by customers if it wasn't hidden in the bottom of their buckets... Suggest avoiding this particular KFC because management has obviously instructed their employees to pull this BS on customers... read more

Ok. Food was ok. Chicken was great but the wings were so small. It was all bone. But I am commenting here because the customer service was horrible. Oof, the ads got me and we decided to get KFC before the playoff game and what a mistake. The location wasn't super busy as there were 2 cars in front of us. When it was our turn to order, it took forever. Static and finally we asked if anyone was there and the employee taking the orders told us to wait a minute. If they didn't have the barrier I think we would have done a u-turn and left because we didn't have a great feeling with how rudely he responded to us and how slow the service suddenly became. We ordered a large popcorn chicken, a large mashed potato and a three piece meal. It came pretty fast and seemed a bit expensive to me (which was surprising as in the ads things are presented as much more reasonably priced). Got home and the food portions were ridiculous. The popcorn chicken box was just over half filled. The three pieces were not large - one looked like it came from a Cornish hen instead of a regular sized hen. Only the mashed potatoes looked right. As for taste - ugh, yuck. The popcorn chicken was way over cooked and most "pieces" were just breading with no chicken. The three pieces of chicken barely had any breading and it certainly was not crispy. Soggy might be a better word to describe it. The biscuit was good. The potatoes were okay if you got the gravy part but seemed gluey and over heated at the bottom. Very disappointing meal. We certainly won't be back to this location or any KFC location again. read more

I had such a craving for chicken. I hadn't had kfc in years and decided to stop and get a family mean for me and the boys. We got the extra crispy 8 piece. The crust was like a rock. It was completely dried out. It was obvious that it had been sitting there for quite a while. We ate what we could but it was terrible. The kids peeled off the skin and tried the chicken but in the end I cut up what I could and have been feeding the chicken to the pup. Also.... (nothing to do with the food) but whoever decided to paint and brand this building missed the mark in a big way. Top to bottom dark red with no color contrast or lighting. tl;dr: Pickup area is opposite of the drive-through window, order ahead if you don't want to wait. I came here to pick up an online order and it was pretty smooth, around 10 minutes or so from when they knew I was there to when I got my order. The online pickup area is at one of the four numbered spots opposite of the drive-through window. I missed these signs initially and went through the drive-through at first. As you might have noticed, we're still in the middle of a pandemic and this location doesn't seem to be running with a full supply chain or staffing right now. If you show up at the drive-through and don't already have an order, it might take longer than you're willing to wait to get some chicken. As far as my food it's about as you'd expect from KFC. My extra-crispy was crispy, the sides taste like standard KFC sides, and the food was the right temperature. Side note: The potholes in the drive-through have now been fixed, or at least weren't anywhere that I noticed them. read more

Friend stopped by this KFC (as a surprize) on way over to pick me up Chicken Little Sandwiches, knowing how much I love them. He was asked to pull aside and did, waited 17 minutes. Young guy came out and handed him a ripped bag with sandwiches close to falling out, that were totally cold. He asked if he could please get warm ones since he'd been waiting so long now and they are a gift. Ended up being a real issue as the worker didn't want to deal with it. Hey- KFC-- If you don't have the manpower to run this store- CLOSE it. Jeezus, honestly this is my 3rd or 4th seriously horrific experience with this location. I genuinely cannot understand why this doesn't even have higher than 2 stars. I ordered a 12 pc meal along with a Chicken Colonel Sandwich, and although it took longer due to me asking for Grilled Chicken, they compensated us with a free Lg. Drink, a free Lg. Mashed Potatoes and an entire free cake! The chicken itself was quite delicious. Juicy, flavorful and almost as good as homemade fried chicken. The grilled chicken was also nice but it didn't seem like it was grilled, more like smoked. The sides range from delicious to meh, but what do you expect? It's a fast food restaurant! If it were possible to give 0 stars, I definitely would. The bathroom toilet was pissed all over, and smelled really bad. The table we sat on, was sticky, and seemed like it was not disinfected all day.... all week possibly #germs #coronavirus. Horrible--even for fast food. Upon walking in and approaching the counter, I waited almost 2 minutes before someone came up to the counter. A man (the manager?) finally walked over and asked if I was all set, and I began ordering. He stopped me, told me to wait, and someone would be right with me, and he went back to reading his computer print out. He didn't do anything to get anyone to help me...just stood there. About 30 seconds later, a girl (I'm pretty sure she was high) finally walked by, he asked her to take my order, to which she shouted at him "No SHIT." At this point, I decided I would be calling to complain to the manager the next morning. Despite being appalled by the language, I requested my order for a 20-piece hot wings. Her response was "No," then she turned around and shouted back to the kitchen asking of they had hot wings. The kitchen yelled back they had just sold a 20-piece, so obviously they were out. She turned back to me and said (with attitude) "If you still want 'em, its gonna be at leas' 10 minutes." Not only did she use offensive language, but she was a total bitch to me. Why did she not just say "I'm sorry, we're all sold out, its going to be about 10 minutes if you'd like to wait." ?? Probably because this is the worst KFC ever. I've never had good luck with this KFC--same for the Taco Bell next door. Now, I'll probably never go back to either (since they are both owned by the same franchise).
