The quantity and quality have both gone down. Given the ridiculous pricing I would expect the food to be top notch and consistent but it is not. At least get the basics like naan right please. Sometimes, we like to eat at San Ramon City center because parking is easy and free. For dinner, we decided to try Khaki. At 6, we were seated right away at one of the outdoor tables. Thanks for the pictures from fellow Yelps reviewers, we decided to have the lamb shank which was enough for two of us. We also tried an appetizer, Ragda Pani Puri, as well as their cocktail, Khaki 2601. The foods came pretty fast and were delicious. read more

This is definitely a 5-star place, but the sever/waitress that was assisting us really brought the whole experience down a star. Everyone knew the assignment but her; giving a great Michelin star quality service, but you have someone with probably a lot of sever experience in chain restaurants bringing it all down. Just a few more critiques then I'll move on. Very open concept so you see everyone working, she was literally just going around talking to everyone of her co-workers. She came around a few times to check up on us, but once we finished eating we were invisible. Another sever came by and said they would get her over. (He was great btw, even just filling water glasses) Also probably not the best to tell customers you don't know what the food you're serving looks like. Came with the bf at 6PM with a reseavtion on a Friday. Not really busy so not sure why having a reservation was strongly suggested. We got the dahi puri, parsi chicken keema, chicken butter masala, zucchini and ricotta kofta and the garlic naan. YUM!! Everything was amazing. The dahi puri was really good. I've gotten pani puri before from a hole in the wall restaurant and it wasn't for me. So very happy we their preparation. The yougrt and raspberry on it was amazing, tart and sweet. Yum, the chicken keema was hella good too. It was a delicious homey ragu with a kick and I loved the bread it came with. The butter chicken was really good too. It's the bf's go to item. The chicken was moist and the masala was great. Yum, the kofta was the show stopper. I have never had kofta before, but it sounded delicious and man that crunch on the kofta! I don't know what was in the gravy, but it was heavenly I could have just eaten that and been satisfied. I felt jipped on the naan. It was like one whole naan cut into fours. I was hoping to try their desserts (if they had some) but our sever just took so long to get back to us, we probably would have just said no. Located in the Bishop Ranch City Center. There is free garage parking. On the pricer side, but I think 90% worth it. I do feel like with these dishes, plain rice should just always accompany them free on charge and/or option of unlimited naan. But I get they wanna be fancy with it. Definitely a great place to try and put in the go to bank. The bf wasn't into it but we'll see; I definitely wanna go back. read more

We tried Khaki on Oct 4th for dinner. Was pleasantly surprised to find out that this place was from the group that owns Tiya in SF. Chef Sujan is associated. We had tried Tiya and were pleased. We ordered Ragada Pani Puri (2), Khaki kabab, and Sweet Potato and Patta chaat for starters. Got one pani puri and the second one did not come until our mains were getting ready to be served. We had to cancel it as it was quite delayed. On the mains Chicken Butter Masala took forever to get served. Breads went cold by the time it was served. Food quality was good not great. Service was poor and what sucks is they charge by default 20% gratuity even though their service was below par. The manager had a stubborn attitude. She was not apologetic for the delay. I am not sure if I would visit again. read more

We dined here for my brother's birthday and initially enjoyed the food, drinks, and service. Unfortunately, our experience with management was very disappointing. During dinner, our server accidentally spilled an entire tray of drinks onto my brother and husband, splashing the rest of our party and even affecting some of our food. While it was clearly an accident and the server was apologetic, management made no effort to acknowledge the incident--no comped drinks, discount, or gesture to make up for it, especially for the birthday guest. We still paid nearly $600, and it felt as though nothing had happened. Given how much guest experience matters, we can't wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant. read more
