The khao soi here is phenomenal -- rich, flavorful, and an absolute must-try! I also ordered two other mains which were decent, but nothing compared to that bowl of perfection. Ended with the mango sticky rice, which was fresh and satisfying. Would go back just for the khao soi! read more

This place was packed and we waited 20 min for a table. We got three of their best sellers. Each were decent and looked delicious, but each had noticeable flaws. The Tom Yum (with shrimp) was way too salty. We even watered it down with quite a bit of water, but it didn't help. The noodles in the Pad Thai (with shrimp) were significantly undercooked, but the flavors in the sauce were on point, Both the texture and flavor of the Spicy Chicken were off, not a great recipe. But the mango and lychee thai tea were refreshing. I'm really surprised Khamdee was as popular as the wait suggested, but I was not too impressed. The dish comes with a little soup on the side which you can dip the dried noodles / meat into it (if you want or can just drink like soup). It was too sweet in my opinion and the noodle dish as well. I went with a mild spice because it was my first time but I have to say that there was no spice at all so if you want a lil thai kick, go for more than milf. Mine and my husband's favorite thai resturant in town. We love their pad se ew with beef and spicy beef salad with sticky rice. My husband loves that their thai spicy is actually spicy. The staff is very friendly even when they are slammed, we are always greeted with a welcoming smile. I found my new favorite Thai joint on the west side for pad kee mao / drunken noodles. Yay! Noodle texture is on point. Thick and flavorful. Proper spice levels. I've had the kee mao with tofu and beef and both are delicious. Good portion sizes. Excellent customer service. They go above and beyond and are the sweetest! Extra bonus points as they have a container already on the table with chopsticks and napkins so you don't have to ask for extra napkins or utensils. I go out of my way to get the pad kee mao here. The pad thai is also yummy. Ample parking. Nicely lit environment. Clean. Feels cozy but not stuffy even though this place is poppin' all the time. It's legitimately a hidden gem. I wish I knew about this place sooner! I dare say I won't be able to find a Thai place on the west side that beats the drunken noodles here! My only critique are the noodles used in the Pad Thai. They use square noodles, but I prefer flat noodles for this dish as it absorbs the flavors better IMHO. Oh, and thank God they are open on Sundays (I keep the Sabbath from sundown Friday to sundown Saturday so it's always nice to find restaurants that aren't closed on Sundays)! read more

Khamdee Thai cookhouse is located where Thai Apsara used to be found. It's across the parking lot from the Beaverton Freddie's. I got take out today so this review is focused on the food only. I was really intrigued by their Tum-Khao-phod salad so I ordered that along with Veggie Red curry and Pineapple fried rice. The Tum-Khao-phod was tasty and nice to try for something different. The red curry had a nice flavor and lots of veggies. The Pineapple fried rice was a big mistake. I've ordered this item at many other Thai restaurants and usually you're given the option of adding your choice of meat, tofu or just veggies. So it was my bad that I didn't read the entire description to see that this item comes with shrimp and chicken. As a vegetarian this meant I had no choice but to discard the item. I wasn't expecting it to have meat already cooked in the dish. I would really prefer having the choice of adding meat, tofu or veggies rather than meat already assigned to the dish. If you request the meat to be left out, will they reduce the price? Anyway, lesson learned. Read the dish descriptions carefully. The other two items I got were tasty so I will try Khamdee Thai cookhouse again. read more

The place looked packed when we came here as a group of 6, without a reservation. We still got a table within 10 minutes. Their menu is not a very traditional one that you find in a Thai restaurant. But remarkably, we all mentioned how nice the menu was - the look and feel of it and the uniqueness of the items. We ordered the fresh rolls, Asian flies, phad thai, cashew chicken, red curry, Thai fried rice and a couple Thai iced teas. Mostly everything tasted good, especially the red curry. I expected Asian flies (fried lotus stem) to be crispier but they weren't - in fact, they were a little bland. We ordered mild spice on all dishes because of the kids in our party. But I think the mild here is very very mild. Next time, I would consider a medium. They did offer us some hot sauces to help with the spiciness. The food came very quickly and the service was great. The tables were a little too close together but that probably made our wait time shorter, so can't complain :) read more

Great lowkey Thai spot in Beaverton Town Square. Their dishes are extremely flavorful and there's great atmosphere inside created by interior design and friendly staff. I ordered the boat noodles mild and found it was still a bit spicy, (it was from the flavor of white pepper, which I am a big fan of so it ended up being fine). Our food came very quickly and the portions are very large! Both my friend and I brought home leftovers that we said would feed us for another full meal. I asked her some menu questions and her response was "I thought you're ready to order." Is that mean I'm not supposed to ask any questions? Talk about dirty dining...... the table and chairs were sticky. The small bowl brought to us got some black stuff in it. Well, food wise.... I had the boat noodles. The soup tasted quite good, but the meat is very tough. And the greens are bitter. I got really sick after eating the boat noodles dish. Finally got to try this place after coming there but ended up being closed. I had the regular thai fare of pad thai and tom yum, both are good, decent size (we shared between 4 people. There is a squid with salted egg yolk entree that comes with rice. I thought the egg yolk would be infused in the sauce and coats the fried squid, but not really. The chucks off the salted egg yolk are there in between the squid and veggies. Still good though. Pad Se Ew was great as well, you get that wok hay smokey flavor. Service is quick and friendly! Khamdee has been on my "places to check out" list for some time now. It's tucked away in the Beaverton town square just barely out of view except for the sign they place on the sidewalk. The restaurant is on the smaller side but it makes the space feel more intimate. The servers were pleasant and quick to seat and attend to our group. The food was delicious. We got the phad see ew with chicken, the Stewed Beef Avocado Green Curry which we also subbed chicken for, and, not pictured, the potstickers. We ordered both of the mains as mild. I like spice and even the mild had a kick to it! If you are spice intolerant, definitely don't add any spice at all. We will be coming back! read more
