It was okay. I got the green curry with chicken and massaman curry with beef. The chicken was velvety, but the beef tasted stewed.

Having just moved to the neighborhood I asked around for the best restaurant and heard rave reviews for this place, so I asked my friend visiting from Idaho to grab take out. We ordered the pumpkin curry, mango sticky rice and ice cream and she bought two homemade brownies. We sat by the lake and enjoyed each other's company until GI disaster hit. I literally ran to the restroom having an accident. This continued that night and morning. The next day I stoped in to let them know. The man who provided service the evening before said "well we've recieved no other complaints" I gave him my number because he said he'd have to speak with his manger about the refund I requested and that I could possibly come back the next day for the money. That was two days ago and I haven't heard back. Food poisoning symptoms and full body flare up have continued for several days. The thing about food poisoning is that all it takes is one piece of bad meat, ice cream that was left out and refrozen, soured coconut cream, or cross contamination in something as simple as rice. To disregard a paying customer who would other wise be a return guest, and risk a public review like this is truly poor judgment on the restaurant's part... but more so, don't go there yourself and get sick!! read more

VERY excellent quality of food. Everything was delicious. Me and one other person shared 3 dishes and was very full by the end of the meal. The prices are average and the portion sizes were fair. We got medium spicy for all the dishes and probably could have handled a higher level. A unique dish here is the Khao soi (curry noodle dish). Highly recommend! It's very rich and I'm glad I had other dishes because having that whole bowl in one sitting would have felt heavy. Very delicious! Next time I'm in the area, I'd definitely go back! read more

We ordered takeout and found that the crab wantons were very flavorful but could use more crab. We also ordered pad Thai with tofu and veggies. Again, the flavor was bright but it was served with angel hair pasta which was so strange and tasted weird. I would highly recommend not getting the sticky rice. It was paste like with little flavor. But what they have REALLY nailed now is their curry. Originally their yellow curry was just ok. But I have go say, after ordering it now a couple of times recently, it is up there with anything I've tasted. I love pad Thai. Judge me all you want. It was a little hard to find on the menu but I figured there was a reason for that. I saw the price and thought it was a little steep for pad Thai and a little annoyed there wasn't a lunch special. I didn't like that the Ingredients were all mixed in. If I want to push the bean sprouts to the side like a grown ass man I should be allowed to. I also didn't like the size of it. Kind of tiny. I did not like the size of the noodles either. Unusually thin. I took a bite. Not bad. Not awesome. I was also chipping away at leftover gyro so it didn't have my attention. I took another bite and another. I inhaled it. It was nice to see a Thai restaurant open up that we could easily walk to. I love Thai food; it's my absolute favorite! Some of my favorite dishes involve anything with basil, so I decided to try their pork belly with basil leaf. My husband ordered the basil fried rice. I ordered mine Thai spicy. My husband asked for his to be two or three levels below mine, haha. We were the third table there, and the other two tables already had their food. But we still waited about 45 minutes for our food to arrive. They were very busy with takeout though, so it's understandable. My portion was rather small for $14. And it definitely wasn't Thai spicy. It was pretty good though. My husband's fried rice was huge, and it seemed spicer than mine. Maybe they got the two spice levels confused. Who knows. He enjoyed his. Yummy food! Rich, decadent and savory! Tried the pork belly with basil. Strong savory flavor with sweetness and soy. Served with a scoop of Jasmine . Five star flavor, one star off for portion size since you were still hungry. One of my all time favorite Thai meals is H Khao Soi. This one did not disappoint. Rich, creamy, yellow curry with all the appropriate ingredients, soft noodles, crunchy noodles, pickled veggies and boiled chicken. Though a little expensive for what you get, it is at least made up for in the quality and freshness of the food. It's absolutely delicious, everything we've tried. I got take out from here and was pretty disappointed in my dinner. I ordered the pad Thai which lacked in flavor. They use thin noodles instead of the iconic medium sized noodles that pad Thai usually comes with. I got it in medium which was pretty spicy. My husband got the crab fried rice which was decent. I was surprised to find a whole fried soft shell crab that came with the dish. He also got the Tom kha which was super disappointing. It tasted like watered down milk with a slight sour taste. It came with a lot of vegetables which I did appreciate. My brother got the Khao Soi which I thought was the best thing that we ordered. My husband and I love Thai food, so we usually take any opportunity to go to a Thai restaurant. We just happened to be in the area so we decided to check this place out for lunch. We ordered a Yum Nua and Pad Kee Mao with chicken. We also got a Thai Iced Tea with coconut milk. I appreciate that there's a dairy alternative to the tea at no extra charge! The beef in the salad was a little chewy but the salad dressing had great flavor. The Pad Kee Mao was light in flavor, there wasn't enough sauce coating the dish. They did such a nice job converting this place from a salad place to a charming Thai Restaurant. They had this unqiue way of displaying these beautiful pictures of Thailand. We overheard the owner explaining to another patron that they reused the sign holders from the salad shop and used them to hang the pictures. We ordered the Pad See Ewe with tofu and the Pad Prik King with shrimp. It came with 7 plump, juicy shrimp, with crisp green beans in a fried chili paste. All was delicious and beautifully presented. Came here on a Friday night before my movie. Because it was a Friday night, they were super busy and the food took forever to come. I liked that their Thai ice tea was refillable, we had like three as a result of the slow service. I got the moo ping and my bf got the massaman curry. The moo ping was good, sweet, fragrant and juicy pork with sticky rice. Highly recommend. But the massaman curry was not spicy enough and didn't have much flavor. It was pretty much coconut milk. Must try Crispy chicken - Good option to go for. Nothing special, but it did leave a good taste for sure Garlic Chicken- compared to other specialities bit disappointed with the taste. Not my kind of dish Tamarind Wings- As usual it's dynamite. Must try Pad see ew & pad kee Mao- not the best. But not bad either. I will pass unless you really need them. Delicious - literally no complaints! I don't eat meat, and this restaurant was very flexible in terms of substituting tofu. We also had a HUGE order, and they were still able to have it ready in about 30min. My favorite dish was the Pad Thai with tofu, close second going to the Garlic Chicken (tofu instead of chicken). If wings are your thing, GET. THE. WINGS. I work in Beaverton and see a lot of people in the food community in my practice. Recently I've been hearing buzz of a new Thai restaurant in the neighboring city of Tigard, so I had to give it a try! We went at lunch and wasn't super surprised that it was fairly quiet. But that means we were helped right away and got to choose where we sat! The staff was helpful and friendly the whole time. The menu was par-for-the-course on Thai dishes, with prices that are also expected. It was a chilly sunny day so we opted to share some Tom Kha (chicken) and their Khao Soy crispy wings. Oh, we also had a movie to catch so we also shared a Thai tea. The Thai tea came first, and it was ~aesthetic~ as heck. After mixing, we were pretty impressed with the flavor! Sometimes Thai tea gets watered down but this brew was fantastic and had just enough sweetness to balance it. The wings came next. They smelled amazing but we were both BLOWN AWAY by the flavor! It came with (what tasted like) a tamarind sweet and sour sauce that was very tasty but honestly, I wouldn't have even cared if they didn't have the sauce because the wings were SO GOOD. They were crispy with even coating. They were cooked through so the meat came off of the bones easily. And UGH THE FLAVOR *chefs kiss* The Tom kha came out last with a side of rice. The flavor was so clean and tasty! Nice amount of veggies and chicken, and the dish stayed nice and hot throughout eating. My issue with this dish at other restaurants is that the flavor balance can be off (trending toward a less palatable sour) but this place nailed it! The pieces of lemongrass and galangal in it really make it aromatic to enhance its flavor. The meal was very reasonably priced and worth every penny. read more

Starting with the coconut soup tom ka was flavorless and tasted like they added so much water that the soup flavor was lost. Pad Thai was bland, flavorless and nothing memorable Pumpkin curry- had a faint curry favor. Crab Fried rice- eh. Way over priced and again not much flavor. A great place for a quick bite of yummy Thai food. I've been here numerous times over the past year. I always get the pad khee mao. I get it with medium spice which is just the right amount of spice! I love their food, but wish their portions were bigger. The restaurant is clean. Never busy. Service is a hit and miss. I was here around 4pm on a weekday and it wasn't busy. There were 2 other customers. It took the server 10 minutes to bring us water and a menu. I would have understood if she was super busy, but it wasn't. I also noticed another customer waiting for her to bring the check. She never did so he just stood up and walked to the front register to pay. This was frustrating and disappointing. This is a new Thai place in Progress Ridge . I had a day of pampering planned by getting a facial and massage from Hand and Stone. After my appointment, I certainly did not want to cook. As I was driving by I saw Khao Yai Thai Kitchen and decided to order pickup and enjoy at home. I went through their app which was easy to use and ordered in the parking lot. I did not want to face any people after my facial. I ordered three items. An iced Thai coffee, crab fried rice and since I was spoiling myself - dessert of sweet mango black rice with mango ice cream. I was waiting for my text Ike email about my order status . I knew it would be up to 30 minutes. Well, 30 minutes later I was not hearing from them and since I was right outside in the parking lot,?I could see they only had one customer ( it was 2:00 in the afternoon) . Thinking it strange not to hear from them, I called them. At first she seemed to not find my order and then she did and said it was ready. When I went in the place is simple, clean and modern. They have a very small bar with a television. The girls working there greeted me and thanked me for coming in. When I got home and unpackaged my order, I was not disappointed. The crab fried rice was flavorful and on top was a crispy soft shelled crab. It was tasty. I saved my dessert for later a s loved the fresh mango and the sticky black rice had a drizzle of condensed milk. The sliced mangoes were fresh and the ice cream delicious!
