First time visit this restaurant in my neighborhood. Is very small restaurant and I think is family business. Not much table inside but surprise is full house, people keep coming in! So I think must be good. Ordered beef noodle with thick noodle. The beef is so soft and tender! I really like the soup, is thick and full of flavor. I like a lot and highly recommend. Deep fried tofu is good also but nothing outstanding. I notice lot of people order hot iron plate noodle too, I will definitely try next time. In my list for sure and will come back for sure!

Super authentic Taiwanese night market style sizzling plate restaurant. They used to have another sister restaurant in Mountain View too, but it closed down. I think this spot is way cleaner and tastes better though. Every few weeks I would come here to get a sizzling steak plate to satisfy my cravings. They let you choose between black pepper sauce, mushroom sauce, or both. I love getting both because I can't decide. The noodles are so good with the sauce too. My partner usually tries something different. They have curry rice and beef stew rice as well. Both pretty good. Personally they're too plain for me. I still would only want to get the sizzling plate here. The service here has been pretty good so far for the many times I've been here. Ordering and serving were quick

Had a great, low-key meal at 7 Noodles & Sizzling in Cambrian Park, definitely a classic hole-in-the-wall spot. The lady running the place was super nice and welcoming, which made the experience even better. We ordered the chicken fried noodles which came with egg corn soup, both of which were delicious and came out looking really fresh and well-prepared. Simple, comforting food done really well, glad I found this place.

We were around the area and came across this little restaurant. The menu offered a wide variety of Taiwanese appetizers and dishes such as noodles and sizzling plates. We got the popular sizzling plate with pork and a bowl of noodle soup with beef shank and tendon. When the sizzling plate came out, it was extremely hot and stayed sizzling for about a minute. The pork chop was tender and the portion was generous. We chose the mushroom sauce, which turned out to be quite creamy and paired well with the spaghetti. The plate also came with a sunny side egg and broccoli. As for the beef noodle soup, the soup was thick and lightly spicy (I asked for the spicy version). I got the thick noodles which were firm and chewy (the exact texture I liked!). They also gave a pretty generous portion of beef shank and tendon for the bowl. The beef was braised and super tender. Overall the food taste and quality were better than I expected. It was a great place to have a quick but delicious lunch or dinner!

For anyone who has been around the South Bay long enough, you might remember Ocha Tea Cafe & Restaurant in Mountain View, which unfortunately has already closed. More than ten years ago, Ocha was probably one of the best-known places in the area serving Taiwanese night market-style sizzling steak and noodles. Their sizzling steak over spaghetti had that nostalgic flavor many Taiwanese people grew up with, and their corn soup tasted very close to what you'd get at night market steak stalls in Taiwan. The steak there was real beef as well - sometimes ribeye - though usually sliced thinner. Still very flavorful. This place, 7 Noodles Sizzling, was introduced to me by friends from Taiwan. In fact, whenever friends visit from Taiwan, this is one of the places they often suggest going together. For people who grew up with Taiwanese night market steak plates, this kind of food brings back a lot of memories. And once you try it, you immediately understand why. The steak here is a thick-cut New York strip, not the thinner cuts you usually see at Taiwanese night market steak spots. They even ask how you want it cooked - I went with medium rare. Just the strip itself already has great beef flavor. Normally a good strip steak is best enjoyed simply with salt and pepper, but here it's paired with the Taiwanese-style spicy black pepper sauce, and surprisingly the combination works incredibly well. It almost feels like a proper steakhouse cut of beef interpreted through the lens of Taiwanese night market flavors. The egg comes raw on the sizzling plate so you can cook it yourself on the hot iron - exactly the way it's done in Taiwan. Another highlight here is their tempura fish cake (甜不辣). A lot of places get this wrong - sometimes it's greasy or carries that unpleasant old oil smell. Here the outside is crispy, the inside stays soft and chewy, and most importantly there's no rancid oil taste. And of course, the corn soup brings back that same nostalgic flavor many Taiwanese people instantly recognize. One detail I liked: they also display and sell a few Taiwanese snacks and candies, the kind of things you normally only see in Taiwan or in Taiwanese grocery shops. Small touches like that make the place feel even more familiar. Service here is also better than you might expect for this kind of casual spot. The staff keep an eye on the table, clear things quickly, and seem to notice where you are in the meal. In a way, it almost feels a little closer to eating at a casual steakhouse than at a typical noodle shop. While chatting with the owner, someone in our group mentioned the old Ocha spot in Mountain View. The owner hinted that there had been some connection between them, though he didn't go into details. Maybe there's shared history there, maybe a similar background. Either way, if you remember Ocha, this place may bring back some of that same feeling - with the bonus of a thick-cut steak that elevates the whole experience. Insider tip: Order the steak medium rare and let the egg cook slowly on the sizzling plate. Mix the yolk into the noodles with the black pepper sauce - that's the classic Taiwanese night market way to eat it. Dr. C's note: In the South Bay, Taiwanese night market steak plates have become surprisingly rare. When Taiwanese friends consistently recommend the same place -- and keep bringing you back - that usually tells you everything you need to know.

This place was really simple, but good for what it was. I got the spicy dry noodles but had a chinese word in front of it. The flavors were sour and savory but not really spicy. My brother and his friend got the sizzling plate with the black pepper sauce and it was delicious. They kept talking about how this taiwanese food was unexpectedly tasty. I had to agree.

This food takes me back to Taiwan! I really enjoyed my medium rare steak sizzling plate with a mix of mushroom and black pepper sauce. The complimentary egg drop soup had ribbons of eggs and the broth wasn't too salty. Be careful of the splash when you first get the plate! Would recommend using your napkin as a guard. Service is fast and friendly and the ambiance is pretty comfortable like last time I went here. Definitely fulfills any craving I have for Taiwanese food. ^^

Pretty tasty food with prompt service. Sizzling plate came with a salad and small egg drop soup. Both were pretty tasty. The size of the meals were good. The pepper sauce we got on the sizzling chicken plate was very peppery. We like pepper so it was tasty. But I can see some people who would say it's too peppery. The fried fish cakes were crispy and flavorful. Definitely get these! Overall a good experience and worth coming back for again.

Stopped in on a Thursday night around 6:15. More than half of the tables were occupied, which is a very good sign. Bonus: Friendly staff! My wife ordered the Stewed Beef prime Rib noodle soup with thin noodles and not spicy. Very flavorful and had plenty of super tender beef. 5/5 I ordered the Sizzling Plate Pork Chop with black pepper sauce. The plate had a sunny side ip egg, some broccoli, plenty of noodles, and a juicy pork chop on top. Lots of delicious black pepper sauce on top made for an excellent flavor. It included a small salad and a cup of egg drop soup (both good) ahead of the sizzling plate. 5/5 Highly recommend this restaurant!

After coming here a few times - what a hidden gem! With the rise of sizzling plates over the past several years, 7Noodles provides an authentic Taiwanese styled sizzling plate. I love the tenderness of the steaks they offer and the variety of appetizers. Be sure to check out their daily special pricings to incentivize you to keep coming back. note; on occasion - they will also have some harder to find treats from abroad. we picked up a box of taro shaped mochi snacks a while back and they were delicious!

We were in the neighborhood and wanted something with soup and Yelp brought up 7 Noodles & Sizzling. We ran into the owner as we were looking at the menu. She was very nice, welcoming, and sweet. She thought we lived in the area, when we told her we did not, she was surprised about how we knew about her restaurant. We said, Yelp! The parking lot is fairly decent. The restaurant is cozy with simple modern decor. It can accommodate maybe one large party of 10 people and then still have room for several tables of 2-4 people. The service is friendly and helpful. Though, depending on the server you get, they speak mostly Mandarin with limited English. Just be patient. The food comes out fairly quickly. Each weekday (except they are closed on Tuesday), they have a one specialty item that is 20% off. Check the special menu or the board outside. *Clear Broth Stewed Beef Shank Noodle. Choice of thin, thick, or udon noodles (4/5). My wife chose the thick noodles. I like the way they cooked the noodle which it wasn't cooked to death but it was tender, yet chewy. The broth was clean, flavorful, with white pepper. The beef shank was tender and were thick slices. It was served with a dipping sauce. *Stewed Beef Tendon & Prime Ribs Noodle Soup: rich beef meat broth with pickled green mustard, green onions, and vegetables. Choice of thin, thick, or udon noodles. I, too, chose the thick noodles. The beef in my dish was tender yet firm and enjoyable. The tendon was soft yet still kept it's form. I asked for medium spicy and boy this was at my limit. The broth was flavorful, fragrant, and deliciously spicy. Overall, a good dining experience. We will be back! Support your local business.

A Taiwanese gem in the South Bay! Fixed my craving for authentic Taiwanese comfort food Food Quality Sizzling Plates: We love their beef and chicken. Came out hot and truly sizzling! Fair warning: it splatters, so grab those napkins . Generous portions. Mixed mushroom with black pepper sauce - Highly recommend this combo. Beef Noodle Soup: Authentic and satisfying Taro Yolk Balls: Perfect sweet ending to the meal Service Experience Friendly staff: Both server and owner were welcoming Patient with kids: They let my child take their time ordering without any pressure Value for Money Generous portions + authentic flavors = great deal Cleanliness No greasy tables here. Clean utensils and overall tidy dining area

Came here to try the Taiwanese beef noodle soup! Broth had good flavor to it, noodles were good but slightly overcooked (probably would be just fine if it wasn't overcooked), beef cuts could have been a bit better and more generous. Good amount of spice (asked for less spicy). Liked the addition of fresh bok choy to round out the meal a little bit. If they improve on the above then it's a 5 star review from me and I'll be happy to update!

There was a bit of a wait and you can waitlist on their ipad inside. We waited for about 20-30 minutes.    Before getting seated they ask if you want to do the normal hot pot style or AYCE. The AYCE runs for 90 minutes and is $24.99 during lunch and $30.95 during dinner time. They also charge for leftover food which is $6 per lb. We ended up doing the normal one pot hot pot for each person.    I always get my usual lamb hot pot which already comes with vermicelli noodles and choose rice as my free side dish. There are various levels of spiciness and I chose extra spicy which is a level down from there flaming spicy from what I can recall. Honestly it was not spicy enough but I did not want to get the spiciest level in fear that it would be too oily. Perhaps I will try that the next time to see if it is.    They have a bar further in the back of the restaurant where you can get creat your sauce and get some garnishes for your hot pot. I also noticed they have some other sides like noodles and such next to it. It seems if you are not participating in AYCE you can still get sauces and garnishes but I am not sure about the other sides.    The interior has changed from the last time I came here and it looks nice! Service was standard and everyone was nice. It does feel more chaotic now that they have AYCE but that  is understandable.

People following their cooking passions in cloud kitchens can't always control a lot of the experience beyond their kitchens so it's good to remember that sometimes behind each order is an individual hustling to try to keep a dream alive to own their own place someday. Be kind when you can. I'm saying all this because while the ambiance around the San Jose Downtown Food Hall and Bento Pro isn't great, the restaurant's output is relatively good. Instead of picking up food here in person, I'll probably adjust and order delivery in the future. I dropped my coworker off and ran an errand while she went in to order at the kiosks. There is metered parking in front and we saw reviews about free parking close by but didn't search for it. It wasn't the lunch rush so the area was pretty quiet and a lot of eateries were closed. She placed orders for our group at two different eateries in the food hall and the estimated wait times for both were fast and accurate. Back at the office, I got to sample my coworker's braised chicken quarter bento. The chicken was delicious and the bento was stuffed with sides and white rice. One of the sides, a stir fry vermicelli noodle, was really salty to me but my coworker who prefers very heavily seasoned food liked it. My minced pork dry noodles was similarly very salty. It seemed like someone had done a heavy pour of a concentrated sauce but it was a flavorful salty that I could see promise in so I solved the problem by boiling up a pack of plain ramen noodles, mixing it in, and saving half for dinner. The resulting dish was much more pleasant in sodium, still flavorful with all of the toppings and sauce mixed in, and I didn't have to cook for dinner. Noodles weren't soggy by the time we made it to the office and the whole dish was warm and fresh. Some people would probably have given that experience a low score but this is a relatively new eatery. It's quick, generous in portion, has the right flavors and just needs to work out some early unevenness. Everything worked out and I'm looking forward to trying it again via delivery.
