I always add an egg for protein but you have the option to add 2. I kept staring at the pastries in the glass showcase near the register so after finishing my toast, I treated myself to a Cinnamon Roll (baked and delivered by a local Argentine bakery-Momona) & that was the best decision of the day LOL! I mean I'm not a cinnamon roll person but this was flaky, crispy, oozing with Cream Cheese frosting! Everything you'd ever want your cinnamon roll to be! I would literally come back just for this. I stopped by Kihei Caffe for a late breakfast around 10am on a Thursday and had such a great experience from start to finish. The setup is casual and easy - you order at the front, grab a seat, and listen for your name to be called. Right away, the woman who took my order set the tone. She was so warm, welcoming, and kind - it felt like the perfect "welcome to Hawaii." The kind of interaction that instantly makes you feel at home. I ordered the loco moco, and it absolutely delivered. Rich, savory gravy poured over a perfectly comforting stack, and an over medium egg - it was def indulgent, but oh well - I'm on island time. The outdoor seating is perfect. Sitting outside, you get the buzz of conversation, people strolling through Kihei, and the relaxed Maui energy. It's the kind of place where you can just be for a bit. It wasn't too busy when I went, but I've heard it can get pretty packed, so definitely recommend coming early or being prepared to wait. At first, the long line stretching outside had us second-guessing our choice, but the electric atmosphere and the mouthwatering aromas drifting from inside quickly pulled us in.
