When did the new management take over?

Hi! We’re still under the same management. Kikey’s Café has been a family-owned restaurant since 2019. We are slowly renovating the restaurant. The renovation is something we’re really excited about, as it allows us to improve the space while… Read more

I finally made it to Birrieria Tijuana and WOW... I'm honestly mad I didn't come sooner…read more The birria caldo was absolutely amazing - rich, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned with a homemade taste that you just can't fake. You can tell it's made with love and tradition. The meat was tender, juicy, and soaked up all that deep, savory broth in the best way possible. On top of that, the customer service was super friendly and welcoming, which made the whole experience even better. It really felt like one of those hidden gems where the food AND the people both stand out. If you're anywhere near Burien and craving birria. don't think twice. This place is it I can't wait to try more items on their extensive menu! They also have a dessert place adjacent.

The chips were fried fresh and were so hot, I had to wait to eat it. They were crunchy and perfectly fried. The bean dip was delicious and smooth sprinkled with cotija cheese. The tacos were delicious and crunchy and had a good amount of meat and cheese in it. The consome was okay. It was flavorful, but needed more salt. It was a great way to eat the tacos though! The service was great! Took my order right away and answered questions I had. She then brought out the food for me.

Good Mexican restaurant in West Seattle…read more Ordered carne asada specialty platter. Definitely big enough for two if you aren't crazy hungry Very authentic. Wife loved it Definitely expected more affordable pricing for location but the actual dish itself was nicely done. Would recommend if you are in the neighborhood and will go back again for another dish in the future to try more of their food.

El Catrin has become a favorite Mexican restaurant of ours for this part of Seattle. What grabbed…read moreour attention with it was that they serve Huitlacoche which I'd a corn fungus which is a delicacy in Mexico and Central America. It's something that is pretty rare to find with all of the Mexican restaurants I have been to El Catrin is the only one where it has been found. We had it on the side with rice, lettuce and tomato. The flavor for it is mushroom like with a sweet, savory, woody and smoky flavor that is corn like. It was very unique and delicious! In addition to that we got some totally awesome nachos which out of this world! We made a second trip back here and I got their Chile Relleno which totally blew me away! It was fabulous! The tortillas that came with it were simply marvelous! Steve got an excellent quesadilla! The wait may be a tad long but it's so worth waiting for. I really can't praise the food enough! We are located in Tacoma and El Catrin is in an unincorporated Seattle neighborhood and so the drive is at least half an hour on a good day but we wouldn't hesitate in making a trip up here just for this restaurant! I can't say that for many restaurants but I certainly would with El Catrin. Fresh, flavorful and a sheer delight we will be coming here with any opportunity we can seize!

I got the tostadas (about $17 for 2 loaded tostadas) and they were delicious. We got complimentary chips and salsa, the tortilla chips must be house made because they were incredible. There are no fountain drinks and no water except for bottled water. The restaurant smelled vaguely of cigarette smoke, with no outdoor seating. The food was so good that it made the negatives worth it. It looks like they have a taco Tuesday deal for $1.50/per taco instead of the regular $2.50/per taco. I am traveling and will be gone by Tuesday otherwise I would definitely come back for that deal. The chicken on my tostadas was delicious and not spicy (they have a complimentary salsa bar if you like spicy), and the al pastor on our burrito was seasoned to the nines. 10/10 flavors all around. At first I thought it was going to be like Betos, but if this place gets 4/5 stars- betos gets 1/5 stars.

Bring an appetite as portions are crazy. Orders small carne fries which could feed 4. After that My wet burrito arrived. All 8 pounds of it. Seriously it's the biggest thing I've ever seen. I prefer red enchilada sauce with wet burritos but the Chile verde was tangy. My wife had platter of 3 tacos and the carnitas option were the best. If want food truck style authentic food and a lot of it worth a visit. And sharing plates recommended
