The baked goods are sorta minimal but they're all great. They have some different items than other places and they offer a decent cake selection - slices and full cakes. They also have a freezer of gyoza and offer hot foods too. The bubble tea is great as well! They sorta do a little bit of everything and it's all great. I usually bake something for each of my associates to celebrate them for their birthday. With the Covid-19 pandemic my team is working from home. I still wanted to celebrate my co-workers. I ordered a mango milk tea but since they don't normally make it, I told them they can use just some of the flavoring they normally use for the tea it's perfectly fine. Kiki staff was skeptical but CORY FOLLOWED THROUGH AND MADE A BOMB DRINK. I can stay without a shred of doubt that I think Cory should get a raise for his customer service (managers, I hope you're reading this) BUT IT'S WAY BETTER THAN ANYTHING THAT RAIN CITY CAFE HAS. Move over 85 Degree. Honestly - MOVE. I cannot understand the hype that that bakery gets, when Kiki's has such a better selection of baked goods, sweets, bubble tea PLUS they have french fries. Kiki's is a refreshing addition to the plaza full of sit down restaurants offering a quick grab and go. As with any Asian bakery, they are best known for their selection of freshly baked buns. My favorites are the taro bun, the taro cake and the taro swirl moon cakes - are you sensing a theme here? Keep in mind that depending on the time of day that you come, the same selections may not be available. But here's a tip for you, if you don't see what you are looking for - just ask! Often times they have an entire rack of buns cooling in the back that are just waiting to be bagged and put out. They have a case of ready to purchase individual dessert portions as well as party sized cakes, ranging from your traditional chocolate and fruit cakes to the fancier mousse cakes. If you need to feed a crowd, they are able to make even larger cakes - just make sure you call in ahead of time. They even have a nice selection of milk bubble teas as well as a full on menu of different bites. A few things to note: - Any credit card purchase under $10 is subject to a surcharge fee. - Apparently egg tarts are super popular (to this day I have never had one - I know. First time tried the Taiwanese Bento. I ordered the Taiwanese sausage and popcorn chicken bento. Sausage and popcorn chicken is good, however the side dish are bad...... no flavor broccoli and three color frozen sides..... not a fan. Kiki Bakery was the only place I could get a birthday cake in the area that wasn't a grocery store without ordering ahead. The cake looked beautiful and was $28 for an 8 -12 serving cake. The berries on top were ripe and attractive and delicious. The cake itself was fine but not spectacular. They will do an inscription for you free of charge but they did the writing wrong even though I wrote down what to write on a slip of paper they gave me. They spelled my friend's name wrong (left a letter out) then just squeezed it in afterward to fix it. Kind of strange. The bubble tea was just ok and $4 was expensive for a mediocre tea. read more

I come to this place often and am usually quite happy with their food. Today, however, I was very disappointed! I ordered two orders of their popcorn chicken, which I've had several times before, & a boba drink. To my surprise, the boba was mushier than normal and they handed me ONE bag of chicken. When I told them I ordered two, they told me that both orders were put into one bag. Seriously? I mean, yeah, I guess it was filled to the top but it's 3/4 full when I order one bag. You're now telling me that when I order 2 orders, they put them into one bag? I just paid $10 for this bag of chicken! To make it worse, the spices were off and the chicken was undercooked/underfried. I ordered 5 stars of spiciness and this was more like 1 star. I love this place, I really do. But my recent experience definitely put a damper on my eagerness to return. Their pastries, snacks, and tea are all really good and I definitely prefer them over Rain Cafe. However when I ordered my tea last night, I asked for less ice (which I generally do elsewhere with no issues) and they presented me with a cup only 2/3 full, still with ice. I questioned why and they told me it's because I asked for less tea, but the amount of tea they shorted me was near highway robbery. Mind you, I ordered the smallest cup which at $3.50 is already way overpriced, so to be shorted such an amount just left a really bad taste in my mouth. My boyfriend, on the other hand, got tea with normal ice, but they filled the tiny cup almost 3/4 full of ice! If losing money is really that important to you, just put a .25 charge on orders that ask for less ice and give the usual amount of tea. It's just the principle of good business practice. Beware of being scammed and cheated by this location. They are pulling a Starbucks style scam that could cost them more in the future. Customer service is not a difficult practice and it goes a long way in running a successful business. read more

I was in the area and my birthday is today so yesterday I was in search of a cake for my birthday party. It was wonderful! I got an 8" coffee cake it was delicious. My friends and family told me they also loved it and asked me where I got it. The texture is so soft and smooth. The combination of fruit and coffee was delightful. Also Kiki bakery is so detail oriented. They give you a spatula knife, candles, and little plates for free when you buy a cake. Even the box that the cake came in was so cute! As an asian female who has LIVED in New York AND Los Angeles with excursions to Japan, China, and Korea, trust and believe when I tell you this place is DELICIOUS. I only bought 3 things they were all great. The Earl Gray Panna Cotta, so smooth and creamy with an earl gray at the end. The Portuguese egg tart, were also yummy. TBH they're better in queens as they have a whole selection of flavors, but where in Seattle can you get Portuguese egg tarts? The bakery looks pretty and all, sure. The buns and pastries are decent and standard. However, I was beyond disappointed with the cakes!! In the glass bakery case, the beautiful cakes are glistening with shiny sugary gloss. I bought a slice of Green Tea mousse, Black Forest, Mocha, and Strawberry Mousse to try. Ambience: The space is small but has a seating area, as they offer various Taiwanese foods (as well as pastries, cakes, and bubble tea). Service: The employees are friendly. I recently bought a cake there, and they proactively offered to write the recipient's name on the cake and provided candles / happy birthday sign / plates. Order: I have been here several times. My order includes: 1) Taro Mochi Bread, $2.50: The bread itself doesn't taste like taro but the filling has taro mochi, which gives the bread a nice chewy, light taro flavor. 2) Green Tea w/ Red Bean Bread, $2.15: The bread itself doesn't taste too strong of green tea but is overpowered by the red bean. I personally like it, but may be a disappointment for those expecting more green tea flavor. 3) Honey Boba Brown Sugar Milk, $4.25 for Regular - $4.75 for Large - $5.25 for Extra Large: This is definitely a sweet drink. I have not asked to reduce the sweetness, but if can, I would recommend to do so if you don't like sweet drinks / foods. It is best recommended to eat the pastries the day of and latest the day after. Verdict: 4 because service is friendly, near by grocery stores and a Hobby Lobby, and pastries / bubble tea are consistently delicious. read more

I wanted the famous unicorn cake that's going viral on social media for my girlfriends birthday. I messaged Kiki bakery with sample photos of my expectation, and boy, did they deliver to exactly what I asked for. They were not able to make the unicorn horn, which was not an issue for me. I made mine with salt water taffy. You can make your own horn with ice cream cone or unicorn twist lollipop. Not only did the cake look amazing, but it was also very delicious. The 2 stars is for service-- the cashier and barista were nice. Maybe we've just had too many tasty goods from asian bakeries, but my boyfriend and I were just so let down. We were so excited to stop in to this cute bakery, but the breads just had no taste. We got a green tea butter milk bun and a polo (pineapple) bun, and both were just ok. We took a couple bites of each and were so sad!!! Just very bland, and could be more moist/fluffy, or something!! They were like styrofoam blocks :( We also got the fluffy cheesecake. After coming here couple more times, I've decided to take 1 star off for their horrendous service. The staffs don't seem to be bothered by the empty bowls or plates lying around the tables. It wasn't even busy during the time we came. Often time we have to go there and tell them to clean the table and sometimes we just wipe off the table on our own. They also ran out of napkins and they didn't even bother putting more napkins until you tell them so. The most irritating thing was that there's a time where my friend tried to confirm with one of the staffs whether the order he got was correct but this staff decided to frown and reply in high-pitch voice. Cute little bakery! I come here often after shopping at the Asian Food Center next door. I usually get a hot dog bun and a milk tea boba. Their large size is massive!! Great for sharing. I've also tried their mango slush and their passion fruit slush. They're yummy but it's that type of slushy where after you sip all the juices out and are left with the plain icy part if you know what I mean. They used to have a $10 minimum charge for card which was annoying but now it went down to $5. No big deal, drink and a bread is usually over $5 anyways. I love having an Asian bakery nearby! My go-tos are the taro bun (the consistency actually has been different the 3 times I've been, sometimes more purple than I'd like, and sometimes not a ton of taro in there...), but it's a decent taro bun. Their sliced pig ears are really good too, and I'll get those on the go as well. I can't speak to trying anything else, but the bakery is clean..and even when I went at around 7PM on a Sunday night...they still had my favorite Taro bun! Oh! I also have tried the egg tart which is pretty good, but mostly crust and less of the eggy filling. This place is great if you don't want to drive and deal with the crazy lines at 85c bakery. The concept and pastry selection is very similar, just at a smaller scale. I tried a couple things - a pineapple raisin bun, a coconut bun, the lucky baked pudding thing, and a pineapple moon cake. The buns were both pretty good, but i was disappointed in the pudding. I was drawn in by the look and the cute little pot it was in, but it was pretty flavorless and not very rich. the mini pineapple moon cake was just ok too. I also got a boba tea - I believe it was a honey, brown sugar milk tea. Very good! Will definitely be back but I think I'll stick to the pastries/buns and skip the pudding/moon cakes next time around read more
