Killen's Steakhouse has one of the best ribeyes I've ever had; however, I don't think it was worth $100 alone. My total bill came close to $200, which included 2 sides and a glass of red wine. Otherwise, I thought the customer service and ambiance were great!

Went for dinner during Houston Restaurant Week. Opted for the HRW menu, which was about $55 for a three course set. The atmosphere is smart casual, with a humming bustle of noise that makes conversation a little hard to hear. Service is simple but on point. The sourdough bread and butter is delicious, a nice soft bread with a lovely crispy crust and lightly salted soft butter. I got the Korean skewers, which were soft and tender and came with an interesting sauce. The filet mignon was a good size for 6oz, well-seasoned and cooked to a perfect medium. It came with a smooth mashed potatoes. We also ordered some roasted asparagus and Brussels sprouts, which were roasty and crispy with a vinegary sauce. The chocolate chiffon cake was very rich, with a light frosting and a little bit of toffee bites. The cake was much more dense than I expected for chiffon cake but was still a good bite. Killen's is a Bib Gourmand for a reason. It's a high end place that exudes the aura of luxury. The HRW menu is a relatively affordable way to get to experience that. This is definitely a special occasion kind of place.

Outstanding service--Paul was amazing! Came in on a Monday after work to finally try Killen's, and it did not disappoint. I ordered off the HRW menu: smoked Kurobuta pork belly (incredible flavor and sauce), prime NY strip (upgraded to 14 oz, perfectly cooked and seasoned), and bread pudding. Mashed potatoes were a miss for me--too salty and a bit like boxed--but the asparagus was fresh, seasoned perfectly, and not overcooked. I left so full I couldn't even touch dessert. Overall, a great meal and worth the drive. You can tell they know how to handle their premium cuts. This will definitely be a place I try again

We had a really wonderful experience here! Our waiter, James, was one of the best waiters we have ever had! Super attentive and very very kind. Definitely elevated the experience! We came with a large group and were able to try multiple dishes and we all really loved our food. The location feels a bit odd, but once you get inside it is a beautiful restaurant that doesn't feel too overdone. To start I got the pomegranate cocktail, and it was delicious. Not too sweet or too bitter- it was truly just right! They then brought bread out, which was good. We skipped apps, and got steak and sides. I had the filet mignon medium, and it was excellent! Cooked perfectly and seasoned well. One of the most tender steaks I've had! For sides, we got the creamed corn, mashed potatoes, potato and egg, green beans, and Mac and cheese. The mashed potatoes were especially amazing to me, super creamy and delicious! Of those, would highly recommend getting the mashed potatoes, creamed corn, and Mac and cheese. We liked the potato and egg too but the other three were clear stand outs! The green beans were good but nothing too outstanding. The next was dessert. This was all GREAT. We got the carrot cake, German chocolate cheese cake, key lime beignets, and the crème brûlée cheesecake. Everything was really good, but the carrot cake was a clear stand out. It was so moist and had the most delicious icing. I will be dreaming about this carrot cake! Overall such an incredible experience and highly recommend for special occasions. Wonderful spot!

Killens Steakhouse has been on our bucket list for years. We're big steak lovers and had heard such incredible things about this fancy restaurant in "small town" Pearland. It's important to note that in our party of two, one of us uses a wheelchair. We arrived 5 mins late for our 5pm reservation. The bar was busy but the main dining area was still quiet. The three ladies at the hostess table welcomed us and told us our table in the main dining area was ready for us. I asked about the happy hour menu - and was told they only serve that in the bar are - I pointed out that none of the tables in the bar area are accessible, all were high tops or at the bar. We were relegated to a regular table off the bar, where no one else was being seated. Our waitress, Hannah, was kind and efficient. She helped us order items and were not disappointed with most of the choices we ordered. The wagyu beef skewers on the happy hour menu were amazing. The wedge salad did not look like it was a baby iceberg - but rather a regular sized iceberg lettuce. It was pretty but hard to eat. The French onion soup was under salted and had some burnt (not caramelized) onions. The cheese on top was not Gruyère (pretty sure it was Swiss) and added nothing to the depth of flavor to the soup. It didn't melt well or stretch when eating it. Highly disappointing. The main we ordered to share - 16oz wet aged ribeye that was perfect in every way. The Mac and cheese was meh and the Brussels sprouts were drenched in a vinegary dressing that was overdone. The French creame brûlée was delicious, but lacked that "snap" when you crack the top. The sugar wasn't thick or hard enough. Hannah was perfection as a waitress. On our way out, my partner needed help using the restroom - knowing that this was a newer restaurant in the area was surprised by the lack of accessibility in the bathrooms. There were not any single stall family restrooms, but even the accessible restroom in the men's room was tight. No turning radius and way too hard to help in. We exited the restroom, and headed to the large front doors. The three hostesses just standing there - watching me try to figure out if the doors pushed or pulled open with a wheelchair and a doggy bag. Our waitress saw me struggling and after delivering food to a table in the bar, ran over to help me. Overall, the food was alright. It didn't live up to the hype. I would like to see the restaurant mix in some regular seating so everyone has a place near the bar. The accessibility in the restaurant is an afterthought - at least that's what it felt like. The hostesses need to be retrained - they were all so young and oblivious - more of a problem of youth than mal intent. I'm not sure I would go again for dinner off the main menu, but the happy hour menu was good and I would go back to try the burger or shrimp sliders.

We received a gift card to Killens for our Anniversary and came for an incredible meal. The location of this restaurant is a bit strange... seems out of place, if you will. Would think it'd be in the Galleria area or something, not in the middle of nowhere near crappy old strip malls and dumpy car washes. Anyways, inside, you wouldn't know you were in a suburb. They offered complimentary valet but we parked ourselves on the side with the hotel instead. Everyone here from the hostess to the "water boy"? Hydration expert? to our amazing server Emmett were EXCELLENT. We were really treated like royalty by everyone working here. For the food, well, we were blown away. I started with the French Onion Soup ($12), which was so delicious. The steaks were some of the best steaks we have ever had: perfectly cooked, melt in your mouth tender. I went with the wet aged 8oz Filet Mignon ($55) and my husband had the 16oz dry aged Ribeye ($80). We split 2 family style sides: the Brussels sprouts ($12) and onion rings ($12). The Brussels sprouts were tangy but sweet and are a MUST. The onion rings were HUGE. Despite not having room for dessert, our server surprised us with mini cakes. One was chocolate and the other was carrot cake. I preferred the chocolate and my husband liked the carrot. It was very nice surprise. Of course, this place is $$$$. We don't typically go out for $200+ meals but every once in awhile for a special occasion, it was really nice to act like "we be rich". Hahaha. (I am literally eating my leftovers for breakfast as I write this review and am still in awe about how good the food is.) Amazing amazing experience.

Brian, our Table Host, was amazing! Service: Brian was very knowledgeable and you can tell he studies the menu/food. His suggestions were on point! Location: This is a standalone building with a large parking lot. Parking: There is a huge parking lot that I assume you can self park at; however, we chose the valet option. Much faster for sure and the valet were polite. Ambiance: The Ambiance was very demure... In all honesty, it was like any other steakhouse with great decor, nice linens, and it was nice and clean. Food: The food was great, well seasoned and delicious! All the suggestions given were great! Priced about the same as other steakhouses in the city! Great food and great service! We will be back for sure!

Best Crab cake around. Chill bartenders. And Ronnie is the best. Best steak I've had in my 20+ years in Houston? The Japanese A5 Wagyu Strip. 30seconds past mid rare gives a little extra melt to the marble! Still miss the ambience of the original place in Pearland, but food is still just as good!

My experience wasn't horrible but it wasn't wonderful. For the price, I expect better tasting food and drinks. The complimentary bread is warm, soft and tasty. We had issues with several drinks alcoholic and mocktails not tasting good. I was informed it could have been the new bartender. Once we switched to the other bartender drinks were better. The crab cake appetizer had lump crab. It's underseasoned though and there were pieces of shell in it. The pork belly app was delicious. The korean bbq skewers tasted ok but they came out cold. My friends enjoyed their steaks. The mac and cheese was tasty and creamy. The brussels were ok. The vinaigrette was too heavy and it was very vinegar forward. It over powered the taste of the brussels. The carrot cake was salty. The creme brulee cheesecake was good. We were in the party room and it was freezing but a nice area to gather with friends to celebrate a birthday.

I recommend a reservation in the dining room even during the week. You could sit at a bar top, but it is so loud at the bar. First, the place is nice. Service is on point. This is certainly a fancy steak place. The house old fashioned was $22 but you can get your choice of bourbon for an up charge. I got the dry aged ribeye. It was tasty. I also got the lobster Mac n cheese and that was amazing. I wanted the creamed spinach but the steak and Mac n cheese was more than enough. I certainly had leftovers. I didn't have room for dessert, but they offered a bite of cake for my birthday. I like this place. It seems like a good fancy date place.

Great place for a nice dinner! Staff is very friendly and the atmosphere is elegant yet cozy! Reservations are recommended. If you have a special event like birthday or anniversary and you let them know ahead of time, they have a sweet card at your table. The bread basket brought to your table has a fruit & nut bread and some white bread, both delicious. There is a good selection of wines & mix drinks. The Korean BBQ skewers with chimichurie is delicious. The scallops are tasty but bacon was soggy and needed to be crisped a little. The Gulf Snapper with lump crab is fantastic! Filet Mignon Ribeye was mouth watering. Everything is "a la carte" so you have to order any side dishes separately and are served "family style" to share. The scallop potatoes are a must. We had the lobster Mac and the green beans and they were great too. There is a bar for those that want to enjoy a more casual dinner and also a party room for private events. Definitely one of our favorite fine dining spots.

Excellent service and the food was amazing! We arrived a bit early, had a couple drinks at the bar. Patrick took good care of us. Dinner was amazing. My wife had the sauteed snapper. i had the wet aged 18oz ribeye. Our sides were mashed potatoes and haricot verts. She got a birthday cake surprise and we ordered the carrot cake to go. Everything had such great flavor. This was one for the books yall. Thank you

I've heard mixed reviews about this place, but I ended up visiting for a birthday party. My experience was quite decent, and the food was good. We ordered the Wagyu tomahawk, which I really enjoyed, but I wasn't as fond of the Australian Wagyu filet because it was a bit dry. Our server was very attentive and took the time to help us choose our meals. We sat close to the kitchen, which provided a cool view.

I also got mashed potatoes and broccoli for the sides. Every single bite in this meal was very delicious, cooked just right, very juicy and tender. The meat was really well-seasoned and you could taste some cumin notes in it. The beefiness and fat were ideal and the profile wasn't too lean or too fatty. It was a little firm, yet, easy to cut. The mashed potatoes were really tasty and buttery with enough salt in them. The broccoli was so thoroughly cooked and moist without being greasy. Each piece was almost melt in mouth tender. The service from my server was very welcoming, friendly, attentive and efficient. The last time I got a takeout of the exact same as Sunday night, but requested the 7-Spice seasoning added to the steak since the actual 7-Spice Strip is no longer available. It didn't have the brown butter they cook with it along with mine being 12 oz as opposed to that special which was also 14 oz from what I heard. It was top notch with a lot of peppery, aromatic taste and a sandy crust on top to contrast the middle. Both sides were top notch like last night and both perfect medium rare inside too. I was quite surprised in a very positive way how Longhorn could easily compete with higher end steakhouses and be better than some good ones for sure too.

Even after joining the waitlist ahead of time, my party of seven still waited about 30 to 40 minutes before being seated. Considering the holiday crowd, though, that was completely understandable. One of the highlights of the evening was our waitress, JB, who was genuinely one of the best servers I have ever had. She was incredibly friendly, attentive, and efficient throughout the meal. We started with an order of fried pickles, which arrived almost immediately. The pickles were crispy and well fried, though I found the ranch dressing a bit thicker than I prefer. For my entrée, I ordered the 12-ounce prime rib cooked on the rare side, along with steak fries and a Caesar salad. The salad was fairly standard, and while the steak fries were nothing extraordinary, I still have not found a side I prefer more. Prime rib can sometimes be hit or miss when it comes to temperature, so I was happy to see that mine was cooked perfectly this time. It was incredibly tender and seasoned just right. The au jus kept every bite moist, while the creamy horseradish provided the perfect contrast to the richness of the meat. My sister ordered the country fried chicken, which was less successful. The chicken itself was decent, but the white gravy was noticeably salty and overpowered the dish. I also would have preferred the gravy to be served on the side rather than poured over the chicken, as it made the breading soggy and masked some of the flavor. Overall, this was another solid Texas Roadhouse experience. Between the excellent service, well-cooked prime rib, and lively atmosphere, the restaurant delivered on what it does best. While not every dish was a winner, the quality of the meal and the outstanding service made for a memorable Father's Day meal.

The taste of the pulled pork tacos was great, but it was honestly too wet and made the flour tortillas too soggy and there was way too much coleslaw on top. I feel like if Killen's is going to serve pulled pork tacos there needs to be three things done. 1. Serve the tacos with an option of corn tortillas because I feel corn tortillas would've worked better to give a great contrast/pairing with the sweetness of the pulled pork and sauce. 2. Serve the corn/flour tortillas on the side so that they don't get soggy and wet. 3. There are some things that just don't belong on a taco of any kind and that's coleslaw. My partner and I also tasted the banana pudding and to say it was divine is an understatement. What I really like about this pudding was that you could taste real bananas in this pudding and it had been mixed well all together. Our total was $80 after tipping, which is a little pricey for some of the items, but honestly I would definitely come back to Killen's Barbecue when I was in the mood for barbecue.

Located in the middle of Pearland, parking won't be a problem in the shopping center they share with several businesses. I've stopped by three times: once for dinner, once for lunch, and once for happy hour. Ambiance (3.5/5): A comfortable, neighborhood restaurant. It's a pretty spacious one, too. They even have a private room for large groups. I've sat both at the bar and at a table. No complaints. Service (4.5/5): Service has been consistently good for me throughout my three visits. Forrest does a great job behind the bar. He's efficient, friendly, attentive, and goes above and beyond. The type of service where you get a refill on your drink before you even have to ask. Drinks (4.5/5): One of the things I like about HT Seafood Company is that they have a great happy hour with specials on both drinks and food. The drink specials are fantastic. And they even do all day happy hour on Saturday! Something you rarely see from a bar or restaurant. Awesome! Food (4/5): A good number of dishes (10 or so) are on the happy hour menu. I've had their fondue fries and shrimp scampi. A little oily and heavy, but flavorful. The lobster grilled cheese with lobster bisque is also delicious. It's not cheap, but a very, very solid lunch option. They also have some lunch specials where you can get some good bang for your buck. If you're a seafood fan, and looking for a spot that offers a lot of great value, HT Seafood Company does a great job of delivering.
