We had a memorable experience dining at Killer Shrimp for 4th of July! Our waitress was amazing! She went above and beyond to accommodate our daughter with food allergies. She was able to adjust the kid's meal to grilled shrimp and rice. She also recommended a drink for me. I realized there was almond syrup in it so we notified her and she changed my drink order right away. She quickly took away the Mai Tai from our table too. She also was accommodating to every request we made with patience and kindness. Although the service was slow, it was to be expected on a holiday. Our orders came throughout our dining with no mistakes. We had a booth table and a view of the marina. I look forward to trying the many drink and food items on their extensive menu. I hope we get the same waitress too!

My first and hopefully not my last visit at Killer Shrimp in Marina Del Rey! The restaurant has a classic feel & lovely ambiance, with beautiful views of the Marina. It felt very private and secluded, we had a lovely time celebrating my mom for Mother's day here. The food was absolutely delicious with great prices. We tried their specialty Killed Shrimp with shelled shrimp, shrimp were cooked perfectly and the broth was absolutely delightful. It was a good portion to share between my party of 5, each of us got around 3/4 shrimps. There was plenty of broth for all of us to dip the yummy french bread into. I was impressed by the shrimp scampi with garlic mash as well as the blackened salmon! I expect nothing less from a classic seafood restaurant, even the chicken Alfredo was delicious and unique. I docked a star because many times through the night we couldn't find our waitress Carerra, she was very kind but she forgot our refills and we didn't really see her at all for the last 30 minutes or so of dinner. I wanted to give a special thanks to Pedro, he was not our server (I think he was a busboy) and he was helping us out by getting us our refills, bringing our to go containers and cleaning up the table. He was absolutely amazing & we were so grateful he stepped in to help us out. Also the women's restroom looked as though it was not cleaned in a while. Other than those little road bumps, we had a great time, I'm happy we came here and would love to come back for a sunset dinner.

Arlene the host was quick, friendly and fast. She was very respectful and sweet. Our server, Bernardino, was such a high performing person. He always checked in on us. Made sure our drinks were full and that we weren't waiting on anything. He was very quick. Arlene and Bernardino were such a delight. They both thanked us for coming and said they welcome us to come back again. A lot of restaurants forget to do this before customers leave. So this was a nice touch. It was my hobby's first time here. We had just ate an hour earlier so he wasn't too hungry so I ordered apps. I ordered the Dynamite Lobster and Shrimp dip. My gooooooodness, this was delivering heaven to our taste buds. It was delicious. They did not skimp out on the lobster and shrimp. It tasted and smelled fresh. We also ordered a lemon drop and an old fashioned. The restaurant itself can use a little lift. At night, it looks more better. The outside has a beautiful view. The windows could use a good cleaning. Seems to have a lot of fingerprints and it's not clear to see outside. Ample parking.

If you're craving seafood, Killer Shrimp is a great option with a gorgeous view of the marina. Everything my party ordered was absolutely delicious, and it was honestly pretty affordable especially for a nice seafood dinner. My favorites of the night were the classic Killer Shrimp which was delicious paired with the french bread, the Blackened Salmon which was so tender and flavorful, and unexpectedly, the Lobster & Shrimp Enchiladas! The portions were pretty generous and I left the restaurant feeling extremely satisfied. The service could have been better as we spent a long time waiting for refills and to close the check, but I would love to come back to try some of their other dishes!

Killer Shrimp never disappoints -- like, ever. Their food is consistently on point, and the service is just as solid. On this visit, I went with a house salad, a small cup of clam chowder, and the Killer Shrimp over rice. And that sauce they absolutely drown the shrimp in? I need the recipe... for research purposes, obviously. The way I was mopping it up with bread felt borderline criminal. I paired everything with a glass of wine, soaked in the waterfront vibes, and left very happy (and very full). If you're looking for a fabulous meal by the water, this is your sign. P.S. Valet only -- so pull up like you planned it.

First time at this establishment. Stayed in Long Beach and found Killer Shrimp. The service was superb. The food was tasty and delicious. Plenty of parking for this restaurant. They have fabulous music playing while dining. You can dine outside by the Marina or inside with a view. There are heaters outside so need for a sweater. We will definitely be back.

Our smile says it all. When our tummy is fed with good food and good customer services...we are delighted and return again. Mike and the staff were great. Beautiful view and plenty of parking.

The Baseline: For a seafood fine dining the fish/seafood needs to be fresh, the presentation must excel beyond a casual seafood place, there must be a selection of accompanying offerings, and there are unique offerings. Food: The Original Shrimp is what you come here for. Shrimp. Spicy broth base. Bread. That is the original with all its glory and I can remember when it was on the second story of a strip mall sitting above a Subway and Tajrish Kabob House. If you get the original it still holds up to my memories of it at its original location. Also the fries and lobster roll were good. The Snickers Pie was a decent desert. The Original is what holds up the food rating. Service: The service was fine but we had a bit of waiting and we had to ask for the desert menu rather than have it offered. I also had to ask for water refills. Ambiance: As much as I had nostalgia for the Washington Blvd location, eating your meal while overlooking the marina is far superior. This is a great location that the owners are really using to its best for the square footage of this place. The building holds the Killer Cafe (breakfast place) and a Speakeasy (bar). It is a great location. Relatively clean bathroom.

Food was delicious!!! Our service was good and we sat next to the window which was a great view. It was in the evening, so the lighting was perfect but not too low. We ordered the seafood enchiladas 10/10, the seafood stew 15/10!! And appetizers were good as well, we had Mac n cheese croquettes but it's really like a Mac n cheese ball. If you're from the south, you know what croquettes are! Overall, everything was great!! I'm still craving the stew!! Ohhh and the drinks were decent, the waitress recommended a nice cocktail.

Decent spot to get some above average seafood at MDR. The shrimp itself is very flavorful, although the spice levels were not as advertised. The fried seafood platter was cooked well; the coconut shrimp in particular was good. Service was pleasant, although the table hadn't been fully wiped down when we were seated. My tequila cocktail was fine, although my girlfriend wasn't really feeling the Smokey Mezcal Paloma she got. We were seated by a booth next to the water, so that was cool. May go again next time to try some of the other seafood dishes.

9/30/25 I was in town for business and wanted to have a nice dinner with my friend. Since she was dog sitting we needed a pet friendly spot and Killer Shrimp was perfect with their outdoor patio. The ambiance was very welcoming, inviting, and causal. We ordered the lobster mac and cheese, shrimp tacos, mini crab cakes, and a garden salad with vinaigrette. Everything was absolutely delicious and so fresh. Our waitress Kali was so friendly and attentive which made the experience even better. The whole evening was top notch and I would definitely come back again.

Always a great meal, usually get the original Killer Shrimp, today we ended up with Killer Shrimp and Lobster. Lobster was sweet, tender and succulent, same great broth, just a lobster and some vor on the cob added. Service is always fantastic, view is nice, outside patio for nice days. Prices are reasonable.

June 26, 2025 | Marina del Rey | Fantastic views, amazing customer service & delicious food, it's a vibe! Killer Shrimp is an amazing restaurant that I love going to often & have enjoyed for years! Beet Salad: Absolutely delicious, as I am a lover of beets! The combination of ingredients: colorful red & yellow beets, pine nuts, heirloom tomatoes,, & blue cheese! Top it off with honey lime vinaigrette dressing and it's a winner! The salad is huge and easily a meal for me, alongside, tasty sweet potato fries!! Salmon: Tender, tasty & mouthwatering each time I've ordered! The seemingly whipped, garlic mashed potatoes are divine! I also love the mango relish, yummy! Sweet Potato Fries: Yummy! I love getting the sweet potato fries as a side whenever I order the beet salad! It's a great combo! I've even asked for spicy sweet potato fries, and they're even better if you're up for the challenge and like it hot!! Popcorn Shrimp: Yum, mouthwatering, especially when dipped into the cocktail sauce! Plentiful as well! I easily take home leftovers! Views: I love the Marina views! The boat/yachts are always incredible to see when dining on the patio, which I love, as well as views from a few tables inside as well! Customer Service: Giana is always full of happy energy! It's always fun to see her whenever stepping inside of Killer Shrimp! She's personality plus and easily puts a smile on your face!! I've had great experience with every single server every single time I've dined here, always friendly! Overall: Yes, please! It's always a wonderful experience at Killer Shrimp! The trifecta of incredible views, delicious food & excellent customer service, easily the reason that keeps me coming back for more!

The sauce helped bring some juiciness back and balanced it out. The bluefin tuna bibimbap was pretty enjoyable. Went early to see if anything opened or if walk-in would be faster, surprisingly they actually had something come available sooner. We opted to sit inside and loved the ambiance. Food - amazing! I read reviews first and watched a couple IG videos so I knew a general idea of what we wanted to order. Glad the server suggested the orange chicken over the walnut shrimp when we were debating it. Chil wontons, absolutely a must get, different from DTF, not crazy spicy but full of flavor and richness. XO fatty noodles, perfect chewiness on the rolled noodles and the flavors were well balanced, we enjoyed them with a little chili paste and the orange chicken as the protein. Orange chicken, soooo much more flavorful than your average Panda Express orange chicken, good sized nuggets of chicken that were crispy and tender at the same time, and the zest livened it up. BBQ pork shank, our server did warn us it's not the easiest to eat, but it's worth it, hard to see cutting it off the bone because it was so dimly lite in the restaurant and your hands will get sticky but once you get chunks off the bone and your bao bun built it's delicious especially when you get the lacquered crispy skin yummm! Only skip for the night was the mango sticky rice. Much rather would've spend $8 on something else. The mango was tart/sour. The sticky rice was too wet and mushy. It was a pass for both of us. Service - our server was awesome. From greeting to end, he was the right amount of attentive and was super helpful with suggestions. Everyone from the food runner to the busser, they were all so nice. From getting us chili paste or to go containers, customer service was on point. Parking - love love that are a few parking spaces right out front. They're metered. But after 8pm it was free so perfect for us. Other than those spaces, there's a lot across the street if you want to risk it or also side streets parking too.

My husband opted for a neat Caballito Cerrero Puntas pour (high proof agave spirit). They only had 0.5 Oz for their bottle and only charged for the partial pour. People came in and ordered anything from cocktails to neat pours to flights. It was a cool spot and the bartenders seemed pretty well versed in different cocktails, giving a few suggestions to different patrons. Even making a few Espresso Martinis for a couple of girls that didn't really like their initial cocktails. Staff was cool, attentive, and pretty quick and efficient with the pours. The rigatoni was cooked perfectly al dente - *Duck Pappardelle: a table favorite! The duck was plentiful and was enjoyed by all. The pappardelle was a little too soft for some people at the table, but I personally enjoy a wide, flat noodle. - Linguine al Limone: lemony and bright. I only wish there was a protein (like seafood?) with this to help enhance the flavor - Margherita pizza: Classic and delicious. The crust was delicious on this slice. - *Mushroom pizza: Toppings were generous and we all liked the mushrooms. Our crust in particular was a little on the burnt side, but we just picked off the areas that were more blackened. - *Green Beans: served chilled which provided a nice brightness to our dishes - Grilled Broccolini: good bite and also helped break up the meal Overall the dishes were easy to be shared and we left pretty full. Prices are also pretty reasonable for the amount of food that we got. PARKING Street parking only, but it wasn't too difficult to find parking on the street.

Hostess Dani (female) is a terrible representative for this beautiful restaurant…read more I had bookmarked this restaurant & was happy when I happened to pass the area. We dropped in at 515 pm without a reservation. Since it was still early and a Monday, the restaurant was empty. The first person we encountered was the female hostess Danni. I was happy to try the place out finally but unfortunately she started the experience terribly. Danni stared at my daughter and me when we walked up. No fake smile, nothing. She looked sour and annoyed. Definitely not welcoming or gracious whatsoever. She asked if we had a reservation. Told her no. I ignored her demeanor at that point. Another female employee was standing next to her. She turned her back to us to whisper to her. It was odd and awkward. The other woman walked us to the back of the restaurant and seated us inside, at a table by an open exterior door directly in the sun and close to the sidewalk. I asked if we could be seated elsewhere & the young lady said, "I was told to seat you here." I asked her to ask if we could sit elsewhere since the entire large restaurant and patio were completely open and it was only 5:15 on a Monday. Only after I raised these points did the girl finally say she'd ask Danni. We stood there while she walked back, she and Danni talked, they looked at us for awhile and the girl came back to finally seat us elsewhere. Our waiter was wonderful and the meatballs were deliciously unique so I gave two stars for them. My daughter and I ordered the lemon pasta, two orders of the meatballs, salad and carbonara. The whole experience was ruined by how it started so unpleasantly, making us feel very unwelcome for whatever unknown reason. The entire time we were there, only a couple of parties had come in to dine. The majority of tables were available throughout the entire time. The unpleasant interaction with Danni made up feel really uncomfortable and it was hard to relax and enjoy the dinner. At the end of the dinner, I asked a female employee for the hostess' name and rather than giving me her name, she said she'd go get her. I watched her walk to the hostess, they both talked, looked at us and the hostess stood there staring at me. I approached her and asked her to chat if she had a minute. I did not want to resort to writing a review without giving her a chance first. I told her the way she started our dinner was really distasteful and I wanted her to be aware how her behavior makes customers feel and colors their experience of the restaurant. I tried to discuss it with her but saw that her attitude was not going to change. Super disappointing. I hope others don't experience this and I don't understand why she behaved this way. Complete waste of my time and money. I unfortunately do not recommend this place because of Danni and will never go again.

We got the Duck Lumpia (definitely get this), Snap Pea Salad (definitely get this), fried rice, and Pepes (barramundi wrapped in banana leaf (excellent). Duck Lumpia was my favorite but everything was fabulous. Our server, who's normally behind the bar, was great. He was super accommodating, made sure our menu picks were balanced and didn't order too much, and he was very accommodating with my off menu drink request. I don't know what there is to not like about Wallflower! Underrated ratings in my opinion.

Every dish tasted thoughtful, unique, and restaurant-week-level refined. We ordered the nasi goreng fried rice, noodles, beef rendang, yam dish, and pea salad. Flavor-wise? Almost everything was incredible. The beef rendang especially was packed with flavor, and every dish felt elevated and intentional. My only reason for knocking off a star is the value. The portions were tiny -- not "small plates" tiny, but more like one-to-two bites each while still being priced aggressively. By the end, I felt more impressed than full. If the portions matched the quality, this would've easily been a 5-star experience. That said, if you care more about exceptional food than portion sizes, this place is worth trying. One of the most memorable meals I've had on the Westside.
