Apparently they canceled our reservation through email. But no other notice. A nice surprise to celebrate her promotion. We celebrate birthdays but always go to the Irvine location and never had a problem. This Anaheim location was convenient near the school but next time we'll go to Irvine. BJ's is a wonderful place to go eat when you want simple chain American food. We enjoy the $13 Pizookie meal deals during lunch. And the pizza is so good. Too much for me so usually to go. Staff is friendly and always filled with people in the restaurant. Gives off a fun environment. It great that you can eat while waiting for the Tesla charger if needed. Everything was okay till dessert that's when we received two super burnt pizookies. It tasted super burnt and we weren't even able to eat them. We also told them no ice cream but they both came with ice cream which we removed. Also we received dirty utensils definitely would recommend checking your utensils before eating and hopefully you won't get what we received. read more

This was our first time eating here at this location. We have had nothing but bad luck at Bj's in OC Block of Orange. The Cerritos location is always great for some reason. So after eating here at the Anaheim Hills location we got seated right away and the service was great but my food that i ordered was all wrong. Apparently the chefs cant read English very well because our server read our order back and it was very clear. My sliders were supposed to come with no fries but with cheese and both were wrong. My Wedge Salad was embarrassingly small but perfect for a toddler so i ordered another one. I see a-lot of reviews that match my thoughts. I hope the owners of these 2 Bj's start caring and training properly or I'm afraid they will soon be closing up shop like many other restaurants. read more

I joined some friends here at BJ's for happy hour. Their happy hour runs from 3pm until 7pm on weekdays, and from 9pm to close Sunday through Thursday. In addition to generous hours, there are also some amazing deals on the happy hour menu. We started out with the chips, salsa, and house made guacamole which was only $4. The portion size of everything was generous, and we ended up ordering a second one. They have a good selection of their handcrafted signature beers, and I had the BJ's Harvest Hefeweizen. It was only $5 for a 16 ounce pour. During happy hour, they also have a house margarita and call drinks for only $6. Select appetizers or a mini deep dish pizza are only $7. On Wednesdays, their loaded burgers with unlimited fries are only $12, so I ordered the Bacon Guacamole Deluxe Burger. Serving the burger and fries on a wide tray makes it look small, but it was a good size burger with a good initial amount of fries. The burger was served open face with a big scoop of guacamole on top. Thankfully, it wasn't too much of a mess pushing down the bun on top to flatten out the guacamole. There was a lot of bacon on it, and it was a very flavorful and filling burger. I could barely eat half of the fries after finishing the burger. One of my friends had the $13 Pizookie meal deal. You can choose from eight different entrees and it also comes with a personal Pizookie of any flavor. He ordered a mini deep dish pizza, house salad, and the strawberry shortcake Pizookie. The restaurant and bar were pretty busy around 6pm on a Wednesday. Service was friendly, but a bit on the slow side. It also took over 30 minutes for our entrees to come out. BJs definitely has some great deals on food and drink. They have different specials every day of the week, and an extended happy hour. The $13 Pizookie deal is only available on weekdays for a limited time. read more

A server came right up and took his order. The other table that came in 15 minutes after us got their food well before us too WTF!!!???!!! Ignored us. We sat there until another server came up and took our order. The service here sucks. It has to be the worst. I guess no training at all. What a joke. We come here when we don't want service just to see how bad it remains and it does remain the worst. The manager needs to be fired and replaced with one that knows how to service guests. The fries were easily the star of the table--perfectly crisp, incredibly fresh, and honestly some of the best I've ever had. My husband ordered the wings, and the lemon pepper flavor completely stole the show--so flavorful and cooked just right. I tried the Mediterranean chicken bowl from the enlightened menu, which was overall really good and a great lighter option, though a few pieces of chicken tasted like they may have been frozen a bit too long. Sometimes when I don't feel like cooking, I will order from the BJ's app. They usually have a few deals on the app. The food is always fresh and well prepared. I got their Brewhouse Bites Sampler and a pizookie with ice cream. The Sampler was great and so was the pizookie. The workers at this location are very kind especially in the takeout department. Ya know.. my draft of this was a two star rating, but this place absolutely earned its 1 star Friday night. The original review was being written against the issue I had the time I had been here before in which cockroaches were roaming the bathroom. I'll just leave it at that. We arrived and sat in the bar area. We didn't so much as receive a hello, be right with you, napkins, menus, nothing for about 15 min. A member of our party asked the bar who was supporting our table, and they were not sure and mentioned it being busy. Um, yes- it's a Friday night, but absolutely no contact is weird. We flagged a couple folks down and it was all "not it" from all of them, even though there was one who had a table on the either side of us, but not ours, it was apparently supported by the guy in the middle of the bar (we were along the wall). The place was still exceptionally dirty. There were Mozzarella sticks on the floor, straw paper spit balls all over the wall, it really wouldn't surprise me that there would still be cockroaches calling this place home. May try again in another six years, but may not. read more

Welp, never got any food. We stopped in for lunch and were sat at 12:48. We were greeted a couple of minutes later and ordered 2 iced teas and 2 waters. About 10 minutes later we got our drinks and placed our order. We waited and waited and waited, my daughter tried to get the attention of our server but she ignored her-after making eye contact-twice. She never came to our table. My family made reservations for 9 people for Wednesday June 10 at 8:30pm. As there are graduation ceremonies, we understood it would be crowded. What I do not understand and was extremely upset with, was BJS not honoring a reservation. When we checked in, the hostess indicated that yes even though we had a reservation, "someone had allowed 30 reservations to be made" and that we would have to wait at least an hour and a half for a table. She did not offer any apologies nor did she even finish our conversation as she just started talking to another guest after us. I'm a BJ's member and visit this location often, but this experience was very disappointing. The service was extremely disorganized. We ordered two items and after about 10 minutes the server came back saying they were out of them. When we arrived, the host told us to wait for a larger table that was being cleaned, but after waiting they suddenly moved us to a very small table next to the restroom and kitchen area because a larger group arrived after us. That felt very unfair. To make things worse, it took about 30 minutes for a server to even come to our table. I asked for water without ice and it arrived with ice. Then the server disappeared and another person came later without explanation. The staff seems very young and untrained, and the overall service feels poorly managed. BJ's is usually better than this, but this location clearly needs better management and staff training. read more

I've been to this location many times with my small dog in their patio. Patio was empty with one other table. I asked to dine outside but was told that one of the servers was running behind and to wait 10min. 10 min later, hostess says that she needs to check with her manager if I can sit outside with my dog. Why didn't you check with your manager 10min ago before I waited? If this is the case, let customers know right away and not after making your wait for your table. Although I was super frustrated by the circumstances, I sympathize because the hostess said that she just recently started working there. Still a bad place to go. Went there around Christmas Eve since we were shopping in the area. I went to the bar to order a drink while my family was sitting at a table. Bartender working was a young lady and upset from the moment I got there. She was no happy, didn't like a funny comment I said to make her smile, and she walked away without taking an order. Couple next to me said she has been running around the whole time they were there. When I got to my family, I could hear the waitress telling them they had no clean glassware. I didn't even sit down, I left and went to El Cholo's next door as my family stayed at BJ's. As I have said before, the management at Anaheim Hills is not doing a good enough job there. I think now I understand why the young bartender was having an issue and running around the whole time and being unhappy. When we got in we were told that they would not be able to turn the sound up. We sadly decided to leave due to this.
