Love this property...they really did a nice job with the remodel. From the rooms, courtyard (amazing to sit and relax), and 'family room', the decor is stylish, sophisticated, and right up my alley. Service was fantastic too. Front desk team, valets, housekeeping...everyone was friendly and very helpful. Complimentary coffee in the AMs, wine hour in the evening is an added bonus. We didn't bring our pooch along, but the hotel is pet friendly and saw several dogs...and a bird. Note, the pool doesn't open until July...I guess that just means we will have to make a return trip soon. Stay here. It's a lovely boutique hotel. read more

The room service was delicious! I came here for a special event and the staff made it even more special! Upon checking in they upgraded my room to a suite and they helped me bring my luggage up... everyone was more than willing to help in any way they could! Savannah, being a small town with local nuances, offered my wife and I an abundance of boutique hotels to choose from, and The Brice suited us well--a wine happy hour, (albeit a small selection), clean-cut rooms, and a good view of the town. The staff here know how to treat clientele well, and as well, they continue to afford out of town guests some Southern hospitality. In terms of the layout, I found the design to be a little cramped (one elevator, to boot), but with 3 stories in the heart of Savannah, you can't expect it to be the J.W. Marriott, with 10 elevators and hallways the size of a 8-lane highway. At the least, the bellmen and attendants were extremely hospitable and willing to meet needs at the drop of a hat. The Brice offers visitors to this boutique hotel, ready to give a little bonus to your time in Savannah. read more

The Brice is a cute hotel, central to everywhere you want to see and walk to in Savannah. Iv stayed at a few kimptons and the this one is my least favorite so far. The folks at the check in where not very happy. The valet guys were more happy than anyone else. The lobby was dirty, rooms were smaller then other kimptons Iv stayed at and the bathroom was so tiny, the sink was outside of the bathroom. I love the Kimpton hotels because of the friendly service and their pet policy, but Savannah does not do it the way iv experienced in other cities. read more

Friendly staff & great restaurant. The pool had a great vibe, very close to our room but they did run out of towels a couple of times. The guys valet the cars were such a hoot, the one guy gave us the total history of the building from the start. He had great recommendations & always kept us laughing. Disregard any negative reviews you read about this hotel, my recent stay exceeded my expectations! This hotel is modern in its decor without being pretentious. The hotel staff is professional and exude southern hospitality. I contacted the staff via email while in route from Ohio with some questions about my stay and was promptly contacted by phone by a hotel administrator with answers. Our room, which was lovely and very clean, was ready early. The staff had already been informed we were possibly arriving early and I was impressed that the gentleman at the front desk said they were awaiting us. The happy hour with complimentary wine and appetizers was an unexpected treat! The gym and pool are not completed yet, but arrive knowing you will be working out at another local gym, for free, if working out is of importance to you. Excellent property! Wonderful and attentive service from the front desk to the valet and bell service. A special shout out to the 3 Ts at the door. You guys were great. The beds were well appointed and the rooms comfortable. The courtyard was beautiful as well. Complimentary wine social was very nice. Though not particularly a kid hotel, my 7 year old loved it and the staff. A request to change our reservation from a king to 2 queens was met without any hesitation, and though we were held up by traffic and weather until 10pm, the front desk staff checked us in with a smile and steered us to the on site restaurant for a good late night meal. I've stayed at a kimpton before, and loved it. They are a unique brand and I choose to stay there because of the service, free cocktail hours, free bikes, and pet policy. This hotel had all of those things, although the physical structure of the place was very disappointing. When I pulled up to the hotel I said "what is this, a renovated dorm room"? It has that feel. Boxy, with small windows, a fresh coat of paint and new awnings. The lobby was beautiful and welcoming though. As we walked through the hall to our room, it very much feels like your walking through a very old apartment complex that was cheaply renovated. The vinyl butterfly stickers all over the walls didn't help. It looked cheap. The room was a little bit better. Beautifully decorated with a modern style. Although the room was simply a box, with a small window and a wall where they put in a bathroom. There wasn't even a closet. My dorm room fear was coming true. The kicker was the yappy dog in the room next to us that barked for 18 hour a day. It was so loud we felt the dog was in our room. I'm all for allowing dogs in your hotel, but if your going to do that, you need to insulate the rooms correctly. The pool was also a disappointment. Take away all the chic outdoor furniture and decorations, and your left with a small rectangle pool no bigger than what would be in the backyard of a small home. We paid $300+ a night to sleep in a small noisy overly decorated cheaply built room. The location downtown was perfect though, and I guess that's what we were paying for. read more

The Brice is our new favorite Kimpton. We spent three wonderful days in a corner room looking out over Washington Square and we found the location perfect ~ a close walk so everything yet away from the crowds. Our dinner at Pazza was delicious, and since we found the room quite loud (it was difficult to have a conversation at the dinner tables in the bar area) we were moved to one of the tables by the large shelves of books. We had fun perusing the books; novel dinner entertainment! But besides the great room, location and restaurant it's the staff that really dazzles at The Brice. Thanks especially to Curtis, Mo, and Raymond for offering a fantastic stay. This is a staff whom you can ask for anything; restaurant recommendations, directions, which sights to see and they'll steer you properly. Our housekeeper, Yolanda, left us cheery notes each day, too! Thanks to all for everything. We loved our first stay in Savannah and we hope to return to you one day. read more

I don't get why this hotel is so highly regarded. Just being dog friendly does not make for some amazing property. This Kimpton is already looking worn down (having been redone in 2013). Mold in showers, dirty carpeting, humid hallways, a fitness center that's clearly an afterthought, a bland pool with really cheap looking plastic furniture, no-name cheap in room bath product. This is not one of the better Kimpton properties in their portfolio. A lot of the design in this property goes for mid-century flair, but ends up looking cheap because it's so worn down. read more

This is by far the coolest family-friendly, pet-friendly hotel we've ever stayed in. The courtyard and pool areas are great, the rooms are simple, but clean, comfortable, and fun. We also had a great experience with the front desk. We arrived late, after a long day of travel, and everyone was so nice and helpful. They gave us a bottle of wine (it was clear we needed it), filled up water bottles, and arranged for me to retrieve my son's bottle from the car after they already parked it, without charging anything or making a fuss - they actually seemed happy to help. The valet desk was busy in the morning, so if you can, call down before you go, and allow plenty of time. They don't charge a pet fee, and actually welcome dogs. There are water bowls in the lobby, and they seem happy to see them. We will definitely be going back! read more

Absolutely all wonderful things to say about The Brice. It truly is an adorable hotel. Has a quaint feel as you walk into the lobby with hip book store vibe. Upon arrival we were just in time for the their wine hour so we were greeted with a nice glass of wine. Check in process was easy. Our room was well appointed. Very clean and nicely decorated. The only hangup I would have is the bathroom area is not laid out well and not what I was expecting as I've been to other Kimpton properties before and their bathroom's were very impressive and beautiful. This property however, lacked in that area as far as space and setup. I would give it a 2star rating for bathroom. The hotel has a beautiful courtyard that is lovely to sit in during the day and has a beautiful glow at night with the string of lights that are hanging. The restaurant Pacci is located right off of the lobby area so it's very easy to get to and have a drink at the bar. Overall, a lovely stay for a quick short trip. read more

Amazing place, just opened in June after joining the Kimpton network, they did a fantastic job on a beautiful and historic property. Like the rest of the Kimpton network, they really put a priority on great staff. There is an evening reception with wine and flatbread which is always pleasant. In the morning there is decent coffee and a nice assortment of teas. Free wifi. Expensive parking (but par for the course). Friendly valets who get to know guests during their stay. Delicious attached restaurant. The rooms are very comfortable, I highly recommend it and plan to always return to this hotel when visiting Savannah! Also, wonderful hotel if you're traveling with pets. They don't upcharge for pets, and are very welcoming to your pets. read more

A brand-new renovation of a previously run down Savannah property at the east edge of downtown, this is an excellent place to stay in town. I have stayed at a lot of Kimptons and other nice hotels, and in terms of quality of the inside, this is as good as any. it's in a quit part of downtown at its east edge, but since Savannah is so compact, you can still get around pretty easily. It is very close to Water street. There's a very nice inner courtyard which is quiet and relaxing. The thing that set this place apart was the service. I usually get good service at Kimptons but mixing in the Savannah niceness really took it to the next level. Will definitely plan on staying here again when in town. read more

I stayed at The Brice this week while attending a conference. The hotel itself is charming and the staff is super-friendly (and gets customer service... I got up too late for breakfast the first day and was looking for just a little something to eat so that I could then go for a run. Even though technically breakfast was over, they found a leftover scone for me which I greatly appreciated). The "personality" of the hotel was displayed in many ways from wet paint signs that said "careful, y'all" to witty social media responses. The Secret Garden is a great little area where you can sit outside and enjoy a cup of coffee, etc. I definitely enjoyed my stay and would recommend The Brice to those looking for a place to stay in Savannah. This hotel was cute, artsy, and quaint. It is definitely convenient for those traveling with dogs. I was nervous that the rooms would contain animal hairs or smells but it did not. The room was a little stale-smelling when we got there but the smell quickly went away. The customer service at this hotel is great. We extended our stay by one night and although we thought we would have to switch rooms at first, they worked it out so we did not have to. Everyone on the staff was friendly and very helpful. Although the location is not in the center of downtown or Bay Street, if you do not mind walking a little, you won't mind the location. Definitely a great hotel! read more

My friends and I did a pack-up-and-go trip, where it's a surprise where you're traveling, and the company booked this hotel for the weekend. We had a suite - two queen beds in one room, separate bathroom, a sink area which was basically for makeup and getting ready, and a living room that had a pull-out bed. The hotel was very accommodating to our group, quickly bringing missing utilities like extra robes, toilet paper, etc. It's also very close to the nightlife, so if you're worried about uber costs there's a lot of places you can just walk to. The weekend was a mix of every season, but the hotel provided a complimentary wine hour as well a hit chocolate when it got colder. There's a downstairs outdoor area that is very cute, if you want to lounge around the fairy lights. Very nice hotel and I would love to come back! read more

I'm very confused how this hotel has such a high rating. We booked this hotel because it has a higher rating than a lot of the other hotels we were looking at but the photos are extremely deceiving. First, the hotel has a very musty smell. Second, the hallways are extremely dirty. I know this is a dog friendly hotel but that is not an excuse for a lot of the things we saw. For the room, the bathroom was absolutely disgusting. There seemed to be mold on the walls, the roof was peeling and the shower head looked very old and dirty. When we first got to the room, i noticed that the handle bar by the shower had hand marks from the person who previously stayed. Especially during these times, the rooms should be cleaned exceptionally. The bed, although it was soft, was extremely worn in along with the pillows. I also noticed our headboard had a lot of staining. Overall, the hotel looks like no one is caring to keep it up. If you're expecting a 4 star hotel, I would recommend you spend your money elsewhere. read more

This hotel is a rip off, they charge over $200 a night for a room that is equivalent to a Motel 6. The room is incredibly small and dirty. Walls are paper thin you can hear everything and any body that walks by the door. Pillows on the bed are super small and uncomfortable. I understand building is old and their is only so much you can do with that but at least keep your rooms clean and maintained, our sink barely drains, shower head is filthy, and the doors have stains on them. The staff had no idea where our room was, one of their staff members was not wearing a mask and said to another staff member "I don't have COVID, it's okay". I asked for a doggie bag from the front desk so I can pick up after her and they said they didn't have any but their website claims to have for our 4 legged friends. So I had to find one somewhere else, don't advertise amenities if you don't actually have them. They charge you $28 A NIGHT to park in a lot that technically anyone can park for free since there is no security or way to regulate who goes in and out. The security bar to get in stays up all day and all you have to do is drive your vehicle to the bar and it will lift up to let you out, no hotel key or anything. At least the Kimpton allows dogs which is very nice and the only reason this hotel warrants the 1 star. I have stayed at another Kimpton and had great experience. Sucks I still have another night here, what a complete waste of money. If you want somewhere nice that actually IS nice do not stay here. read more

Traveling with 5 people is sometimes difficult, but The Brice made it pleasant, a separate living room allowed some to sleep while some watched tv. Lovely patio, pool and community spaces. The staff and management were very accommodating in a storm induced power outage. The wine "hour" was extended so guest stayed in the lobby swapping stories and playing cards, they helped us find a restaurant that had electricity and comped the valet parking for the inconvenience. read more

The minute you walk into this hotel it has a funny smell. Thankfully it's only in the lobby, bar and elevator. Pros: -The front desk staff was great, including the day manager. -we had a suite which was nice size -Beds were comfy but you need ear plugs if you are on the street side -Valet parking was convenient and all of the guys were great -Good location Cons: -feels dirty and run down. Mostly the hallways, elevators and patios -$34/38 night for parking is ridiculous -housekeeping service was awful. The first day we were there our room never got cleaned -Breakfast was overpriced and underwhelming. They were out of all kinds of things -I was tired of all the barking dogs. This hotel is incredible. INCREDIBLE. It is by far the nicest dog-friendly hotel I have ever stayed in. I arrived with my pup after an 8 hour car ride and she was annoyed to say the least. The Brice staff took my luggage out of my car for me and delivered it to my room so I could focus on my doggie. Staff at the desk could see she was agitated and dehydrated and brought her a water dish before they even checked me in. They upgraded me from a simple king room to a SUITE for free, just because they happened to have one available. They provided doo doo bags and a dispenser at check in for free, and asked if I needed food bowls or water dishes in the room. They said nothing when I took my pup out to the courtyard to have a pee and all the guests even stopped to give my pup some love. I ordered room service so my pup could rest and get comfy in the room. (Good food, small servings) I ordered a bottle of wine, but the girl made a mistake and brought me a glass of wine. (Pups are welcome inside the restaurant in a special section too) When I told her I'd ordered a bottle she brought me a new, unopened bottle AND DIDN'T CHARGE ME FOR IT!!! I also have to call out George at the desk staff who was awesome. He answered all my tedious questions with unending patience, loved on my puppers, and was just in general amazing (and super sexy to boot! ;) ). Will be coming back to the Brice with or without pup. Amazing service. A park conveniently located right across from the hotel makes this a great pet-friendly hotel as well, especially if you are annoyed paying $50+ non-refundable at Marriotts. Also non pet owners know the pet rooms are all on the 1st floor so barking/pet sounds are limited. Note: did not use pool or fitness room. Cannot comment on them. read more

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The highlights were: The staff are really genuinely friendly and helpful. I have to give a special acknowledgment to Alphonse on the Reception who really is a credit to the hotel. The rooms are really spacious with a little lounge area separate from the bedroom. The King premier rooms have beautiful big bath tubs. Our bed was huge and very comfortable. They have excellent premium branded toiletries so no need to bring your own. The design in the room and throughout the hotel is quirky, cool and fun. The cocktail hour is a really nice touch. The wines aren't great but they are free and its a nice opportunity to mingle. There were a lot of guests with dogs when we were there, which I loved but be aware of as they hangout at the cocktail hour and court yard. There is complimentary coffee and delicious flap jacks in the morning too! There weren't any downsides except that the pool is pleasant enough but you can hear a lot of noise from the road and the hotel is set back rather than on the river. The Brice is a solid choice for the historical section in Savannah. The hotel has a pool but no hot tub, features wifi but not a business center. There is a restaurant attached to it making it very convenient for meals. You can walk to most attractions from here and there is no parking lot but you can street park or use the hotel's valet. The rooms were very clean and the staff was extremely friendly. I really enjoyed my stay here and would rate this a 4.5 on the like scale. The do a social hour in the lobby and the place is full of places to hang around. Dog friendly and modern. read more

I wouldn't have expected to stay here, but we were in town for a wedding, and this is where half the bridal party lodged. Location: right across from the river! You're not in the heart of the city, but you are really, because walking across the main, touristy parts of Savannah isn't that long of a walk (comparatively). Close to a lot of restaurants, nightlife, and shops. Parking: Valet. Just suck it up...welcome to Savannah :) On a side note...the valet's were the best customer service we had all weekend! Not that the other staff wasn't great, but these guys (and the one lady who helped) were super helpful, friendly, and overall not what you usually expect from valets. This crew should teach other valets how to do their job. Top notch service! Atmosphere: I got a little lost in the decor. Modern luxe? Funky chic? It's like IKEA developed a luxury line. Definitely had some quirks- strange wallpaper in the hallways (butterfly and horse stall like decals) and mock rock climbing holds on one wall in the rooms. I liked the balance of bold colors on white/gray/natural. They do allow dogs...which is cool, but one of our neighbors had a dog that barked all the time, night or day. The courtyard in the center is very lovely! A nice euro style mix of strung lights, cafe furniture, umbrellas, and some plants. On site food was alright- it's a better place to stop in for a drink (nice bar!)- there are so many really good restaurants in Savannah. Definitely take note of their complimentary wine hour(s?) in the evening! Rooms: Maybe a little bigger than standard size! Comfy setup and the most amazing mattress. Seriously...it was cloud-like sleeping, and I usually prefer a hard mattress. The bathroom was standard- alright shower pressure, although the tub floor was super slick. The complimentary bathing supplies were quality (C.O Bigelow). There is a well stocked mini bar & fridge, but no fridge or microwave for leftovers. I loved the fuchsia armoire! Not only was it design wise a nice fit, but full length mirrors in hotel rooms are a big plus in my book. Would have liked to see a luggage rack since there weren't any dressers. Unique addition to Savannah- definitely a spot for anyone who likes to try boutique hotels! I'd never heard of the Kimpton line, but definitely will be much more likely to check them out in the future for travel! read more

We stayed at this hotel on our way up from Miami to Baltimore and again on the way down. The location is great and 5-10 minutes walking to River Street for fun shopping and wandering and some decent restaurants. Staff is friendly here and the hotel itself is charming but also modern at the same time. They have a wine hour daily from 5-6 where you can enjoy wine and snacks for free and they have a nice outdoor garden area where you can sit out. They are also pet friendly which was originally why we picked them since we had our golden retriever puppy with us. I believe they reserve a wing of the 2nd floor for those with pets so as not to disturb other guests who do not have pets. Some rooms have balconies that overlook their pool and lastly although we didn't eat at their restaurant the ambiance looked incredibly cute and the food menu sounded great. We will definitely be back! Either with or without our dog! :) read more
