Kim- What is going on?!? We moved here a year and a half ago and everything was amazing! Burgers- perfect! Pizza - amazing! We have given you guys the last 8 months and everything has gone down hill and gone down hill FAST! The burgers have no seasoning. The food is just meh! And every time we order carry out... at least a half hour late EVERY SINGLE TIME! Tonight... I was supposed to have a carry out that they told me was going to be ready at 815 and I JUST got home! I waited an hour and 15 minutes for my ONE Friday fish fry AFTER the time I proposed (whichever young girl answered the phone said 7:50- I asked for 815). There was 5 other people waiting for late carry outs. I got my food and it was ICE COLD. I refused to take it and your only saving grace was the chef who came out to apologize to me and the bartender who was hospitable. I would understand if the was the first time but this is everytime we order now! I need you to contact us... not for free food but for feedback. Because without these townies you still have, I'm not sure if you'd make it anymore. Boondocks burgers are 100 times better now and they don't forget about people and make people wait an hour and 20 minutes AFTER their quoted time. read more

I did a online order and didn't actually eat there but all the hype I saw on Facebook about this places food was on the ball. I would have to say they have the best pizza in Waukesha country. With a good deal of resistance, I attend the Stonebank Independence Day parade just about every year, as my in-laws live fairy close by. The parade is one they've been going to for years and years and it's a traditional of sorts. I'm not a parade person: I dislike crowds, overly sticky, hot weather, and cigarette smoke. All of these things are present at the Stonebank parade, but in all fairness there are lots of really enjoyable pieces too. Kim's is one of them! After the parade was over my family and I traipsed back to our car, parked at Kim's for $5, and were able to use our parking ticket for $5 off food purchase. This was a brilliant move on Kim's part as we were happy to find a more low-key spot for a bite to eat and a little relaxation post-parade. They had a few large tents set up, slinging hot dogs, Italian sausages and homemade burgers all with a side homemade chips. Prices ranged from $2-$3: a total steal. They also had a long table set up with a makeshift hand washing station that was much appreciated! We parked ourselves on a blanket in the grass and enjoyed a bit of quiet while a bunch of other families snacked and played cornhole and horseshoes. A few other items worth noting: -Cocktail list (inside) looked creative -Bathrooms were super clean -Interior had a nice bar set up and the table set up looked family friendly -Their drive thru window on the side of the building hosts some really delicious custard and homemade pie. Whatever you get will be delicious. I know Kim's doesn't typically have this exact setup, but they do the 4th of July right by me. read more

We stopped in at Kim's for a carry-out order, and I can't fully describe how good it was! We started with the braised short rib tacos for an appetizer. They were very big, and complete with some nice and fresh pico do gallo and a generous helping of guacamole. In addition, the braised beef was tender and bursting with flavor. We both enjoyed these tacos a lot. Finally, we got a large Popeye prosciutto pizza. This stands as one of my new favorite pizzas anywhere, and possibly one of the best pizzas I've ever had. The ingredients were hot and fresh, the portioning just right, and they use good, high-quality cheese. Also, we thoroughly enjoyed the asiago garlic sauce, and the crust was outstanding. The balsamic drizzle to top it off complemented the pizza perfectly, and added another delicious flavor to what was already a really, really excellent pizza. Kim's is a great new addition to the area, and we'll definitely be back! read more

I have seen several restaurants come and go in this building and decided to check out Kim's as the parking lot has been uncharacteristically crowded since its opening. My sister and I were craving some tomato-y pizza and quality beverages and Kim's did not disappoint. The interior has definitely been updated and looks pretty nice. Service was very fast and attentive, and the pizza was delicious and fresh. Crispy thin crust with the perfect amount of cheese. We had a great time and were allowed to linger at our table near the fireplace long after the kitchen closed. The atmosphere was family oriented but the bar was rocking by the time we left around 10:30pm. The craft beer selection was amazing and it seemed as though some thought had been put into the wine list as well. I don't have a huge basis for comparison, but it seemed pricey for what we ordered. Our meal of one 16" margarita pizza, two side salads, and two glasses of wine ended up around $48. I think that perhaps the side salads were a little over priced, they were really good though. We were coming from the beach and finally ready to try the drive through for pick up pizza and ice cream. We arrived and had to come in because the drive through was blocked by cars and trucks. We called and had to come in. Waited 10 minutes to learn the ice cream was too runny, not a big deal. Pizza smelled amazing. Got home and the whole bottom was burnt on both pizzas and soggy in the middle. The cheese curds had no cheese left inside. It was burnt also and all the cheese was cooked out, so I spent $10 on cheese curds that had no cheese. I was disappointed because I heard how good the pizzas were. read more

I have dined twice at Kim's since she opened Jan 4! The gourmet pizza was delicious The mushroom truffle was my favorite! I also loved the spinach and prosciutto and both pizzas were unique and full of flavor! Definitely a homemade flair! We also went back and had the shrimp po boy sandwich and a truffle mushroom burger! My 21 year old " burger connoisseur" thought it was one of the best he has ever had! The burgers included homemade potato chips which were crisp and flavorful and very addictive! She has a great beer and wine selection and don't leave without trying a refreshing " Basil Collins"! Poor at best. Went last night and they had one server for the whole place. We waited 20 minutes before she took our drink order....we were contemplating leaving at that point. The girl that seats you is under 18 so she couldn't take any drink orders. We ordered our pizza with our drinks because we thought we may not see her for another 20 minutes. Pizza was just ok. Had dinner there last night. I had the perch fry and my wife a pizza. Pizza came. It was ok. Very watery on top. Could not pick it up but taste was ok. My perch dinner consisted of three small fillets and a handful of friesOnce we got the bill my small fillets were over $5 each. The plate was $16!! It was good but not $16 good. This is only the second week they have been open. My friend and I went for lunch. The waitress told us the pizza dough was hand made fresh and all toppings were fresh too. We had 1 appetizer called parmagian dough knots first. They were over cooked, crunched like pretzels. We each ordered 10" pizza & that was also really burnt on the bottom. The owner, Kim, was very nice and had a new pizza made right away for me, my friend said she was ok with hers. I thought maybe there was a hot spot in the oven and it turns out that it's made in a one of those fire pit stoves. They moved he coals around and cleaned the pizza stone. The waitress was very kind and sweet, I didn't blame her for any of it. Both the owner and waitress felt bad for the over cooked food and didn't charge me for the apps. As for the pizza the flavor was very blah & my friend said it tasted like frozen pizza. I didn't think the sauce had any flavor but the toppings I had (sausage, mushrooms & green olives) were very fresh and tasty. The crust of the pizza wasn't real thin but it was crispy, not the burnt ones. With the new pizza she had made I told them to just box it to go. I put it in my fridge and ate some for dinner and it had better flavor rewarmed up, which I thought was strange but still wouldn't order another one cuz it does taste like frozen pizza. They also have Friday fish fry but don't know if I'll be going back anytime soon. I thought their prices were too high and Dominos pizza taste much better & cheaper than Kim's. This is long but I wanted to make sure that those who see this know I considered everything and this wasn't a knee jerk reaction to a single incident. Pizza is the perfect meal and a million slightly different versions of the same anything means what one person loves another person doesn't. Sauce could be too sweet or tart it or could have too much or too little. Sausage or Pepperoni can be too spicy or not spicy enough. Crust could be too thick too thin. All of these things are out of a restaurants control if it's the first time someone tries a place and after that initial taste people need to adjust the amounts themselves. What absolutely no one likes and something the customer has no control of and is unforgivable when it happens more than once is a burnt bottom. The first time it had noticeably burnt taste but not overpowering and we thought we would mention it when we ordered again and we did. The result #2 was exactly like #1 but as I'm not a jerk I said "let's try it again". When we ordered #3 we made sure to mention it again and that they heard the crust problem we had the first two times and the result was almost completely black bottom that we pulled the cheese connected ingredients off and ate without the crust. I worked in restaurants I've sold things to restaurants and I've owned restaurants so I understand fully each link in that chain. Many people would have stopped ordering after the first time and almost everyone would stop after #2 and the result of #3 was the worst pizza out of the three. I have sat here staring at my phone with a finished review for an hour going back and forth in my head torn between post or don't post because I understand how hard the restaurant game is and how things can cascade out of control even when everyone is trying to do a good job but with so many good reviews this will probably only be a talking point with staff to get better keep a closer eye on things and that's the intention of the review system. Unfortunately people carpet bomb a place for stupid reasons makre it hard too tell truth or nonsens. read more

Pretty good food overall, but there was one thing I really didn't like -- when asked what side I wanted with my burger, she said they have fries, chips or mac 'n cheese -- I said mac 'n cheese -- oh, she says, that will be a $2 upcharge if that's okay -- well, no it's not -- that should have been stated when the options were presented -- so I changed it to chips, making me feel cheap in the process. Trying to make money at the expense of treating your customers like gold will cause Kim's to fail like the others that have gone before them in that location. I have been there two times now. The fish fry was great, and just might give area fish frustrating a run for their money. The Cole slaw was great and the service was above average. I have yet to try a pizza, but to be honest, the hamburgers are out of this world good. I wouldn't mind seeing them highlight the burgers as much as the pizza because I think the Lake Country area lacks a good burger joint. I will be back, and hope that they plan to use the drive thru in the near future. read more

Had another great experience at Kim's. Ordered the always excellent asiago dip, pork tacos (fantastic) and a burger. The only downfall to the meal was that the burger that was ordered "medium" with the specific request that it be "a little pink inside" was over cooked. It was not inedible and was still juicy and tasty, just would have been better had it been prepared as requested. Our friendly server offered a sincere apology and a complimentary slice of key lime pie, which was the best we've ever tasted. We've been there 3 times in the last 2 1/2 months. Had a very good pizza on the first visit. Second visit: the short rib taco appetizer was fabulous, and the calzone was even better - and big enough for us both to share. Most recently, we had a very good Sunday brunch !
