The food is delicious but the service is terrible. They were rude even for fast food standards. I arrived at 8:05 with two other people and ordered within 10 minutes. My friend ordered the beef hot pot and the server tried to convince her that this is not what she wanted. I wish he had just said that it was too late to order that dish instead of arguing for 5 minutes and then rushing us. AFTER we placed our order, we were reminded that closing time was at 9pm. I think the server should have told us to take the food to go or refused service instead of treating us so rudely. At 8:55 the server asked us to pay so that they could shut down the system, then 2 minutes later he brought the checks to sign and stood over us and watched. My friend commented that she was feeling rushed and he responded "maybe come earlier next time". Then he brought boxes and packed up the food really quickly. I have been here two times and have loved both my experiences thus far! The ambiance of the restaurant is very modern, rustic and chic. The place is very clean. The waiters/waitresses are very friendly and service is prompt. Water is served in mason jars... how cute is that. For appetizers we ordered avocado summer rolls, shrimp summer rolls and crispy Vietnamese wings which were really good. I ordered the Chicken Glass Noodle Pho and it was one of the best chicken pho's I have ever had. The broth tasted very fresh and clean and there were huge chunks of chicken. BEWARE ALL VEGETARIANS & VEGANS!! This place doesn't serve any vegetarian/vegan dishes despite their menu options. I ordered a veggie and tofu pho assuming it was vegetarian when I found a piece of meat in my soup as I went in for my second bite. The service was horrible, the waiters didn't bring us napkins or the right utensils and never checked in with our table to make sure everything was okay. We were also ignored when we wanted more water. On top of all of that in one of the other soups, we found a strand of hair. When we brought up the concerns to the staff, we were faced with hostility and all they said was "well that's how it is, I don't know" to both situations. I've come to this restaurant numerous times with my family and it seems the service gets worse and worse with each visit. Instead of having a peaceful meal with your family expect HORRIBLE service and staff that seem annoyed by your presence. Our group of 6 started out with crispy spring rolls and salt and pepper calamari. Both were delicious and I would order again. The calamari was lightly breaded yet perfectly crisp and flavorful. I just didn't care for the sweet and sour sauce so opted to go sauceless. The spring rolls were a good size and the filling was packed full of meaty goodness. I ordered the rice platter #98 and added a fried egg. I had never seen chinese sausage included in this dish so I was excited to try their variation and it did NOT disappoint. The portions were huge and they even included extra fish sauce to go with my to-go box so I enjoyed this for dinner the next night. We ALL ordered vietnamese iced coffees and even though they are premade, they came in adorable mason jars and were perfectly strong and full of condensed milk (just the way I like it!). I'm going to have to bump them down half a star. I came in on a Monday night and they were actually very busy! I was very happy because I want them to stick around! I think the biggest reason for the half point deduction is the service. They are definitely underemployed. Yes, I know that's no one's fault, but still, it's something that does need to be addressed. So I come in with a different dining companion and we are seated quickly. I noticed it was happy hour time and asked if they still did it in the booth area. The waitress was extremely accommodating and was able to do it! I was very happy! I ended up ordering 2 appetizers off of the happy hour menu. I got the sirancha wings and the autumn rolls. My dining companion got the chicken satay and we both got the hot and sour soup. The sirancha wings were alright. They weren't spicy at all. But they did taste good! I loved the deal! Only 4$ for around 6 pieces! That's extremely reasonable! I wouldn't order them on the normal menu. I liked how they were nice and crispy. My only complaint would be, they didn't have much of a spicy taste at all. I couldn't even taste sirancha. But they were good and fried nicely. They also had a lot of chicken on them! So it wasn't like they were just giving you a fried bone. The autumn rolls were good again. However let it be known, they come with peanut sauce!! The menu says fish sauce, this is wrong!! They had a little bit more pork but still not the optimal amount. The chicken satay was pretty good. They were slightly on the bland side, but if you want to be healthy, definitely go for those! The peanut sauce was alright but it's different. It's like a chunky peanut sauce. More like a thick paste. It's good, and I prefer it to the peanut sauce that came with the rolls. Big tip, go during happy hour!!!! :) The soup was still superb!!! :) Now on to dessert. The bubble teas were really good!! And at such a good price!!! It was like 3.95 listed in the menu but on our bill they were listed at 3.35 ?? Still, I asked and she said it was right. So I'm not sure... Still, you get a really good amount and it's the smoothie type! It's so good! What I loved was it had the soft bubbles and the were sweet, but not sickly sweet. It was like they soaked the boba in the simple syrup for half the time. It was really nice. Only complaint, they were kind of stingy with the bubbles. But they aced the green tea matcha tea. The taro was a little too mild for my taste but my dining companion liked it. The biggest reason why the service was lacking was because there was only one woman being the server. This place is not what it used to be. The pho was not good today and the service was even worse. We arrived with an infant and stood at the door for a while until we just sat and got a high chair ourselves. After being seated for about 15 min, our friend literally kept his hand raised to which we were ignored for a few more minutes. When someone finally brought water for us about 25 min after being seated, he brought four glasses of water right over my 4 month old. Could have spilled or dropped on my baby... we figured this could happen again with the pho so we moved our baby... we were a party of four adults and two infants seated at a round table. Anyone with common sense would not balance four glasses of water right above a baby's head. Also the avocado smoothie tasted like maple syrup. I love this place. Been coming here since it was Pho Deluxe, but once Kim bought it and took over, she and her staff (maybe family) have put a huge effort into making it look like a nice, classy Pho and Vietnamese restaurant. I've met Kim and she took some of my suggestions from previous visits. First, their broth. It is great, flavorful and very tasty. Though I frequently add Sriracha sauce to my pho, this broth doesn't need anything at all. I added a little bit, but not enough to skew the taste without it. Ordinarily I order a regular Pho with beef (well done brisket and well done flank), but today as I was waiting, since it was a busy Friday night, I perused the much expanded menu and found the chef's suggestions and found a wonderful Pho combining both rice and egg noodles and I chose the seafood one versus just beef. I was pleasantly surprised by how good the seafood was and that it was chocked full of a variety of seafoods. A little disappointed that it was fake crab versus real, but I understand why they do it. As I started to finish up, the waiter came over to check on me and I asked to get an order of their sticky rice with mango to go. He said mango wasn't in season and therefore they didn't have the dessert. Makes me think about other places that serve that dessert year round, where they get their out of season mangoes! Didn't want any other dessert but that one. It is my favorite asian dessert anywhere and I've actually ordered it before the meal at other restaurants to make sure I could eat my dessert first. As usual, this was a wonderful and quick meal. They do their best to crank out the food quick, but to make sure its tasty and ready for each customer. They do not skimp and they actually make sure you are happy with the product and end result. Overall this is my favorite Pho location in Northern Virginia. I'm sure there are better places for this and that, but overall this is my favorite and go to place when I want a quick meal with great service and nice ambience. Ordered take out at today at 11:22am, man on the phone said it would be ready in 10 minutes. I arrive at 11:50am (28 minutes after the call), the restaurant is dead. I am waiting around, and this man tells me to hold on. Then he charges me for my order and then continues to do whatever he is doing. After a couple minutes of just standing around, I ask if my food is ready and he says he "thinks" it is and to hold on some more... Thankfully, another man asks for my order and goes to the back to pack it up. Then, the original guy brings out avocados to start making my smoothie......I tell them I cannot wait for them, I had work and walked out. My experience with this restaurant is for a takeout order of Chicken Pho and Wings. We called to place our order and picked it up within 10mins from the call. When we brought the food home, we realized that both of our orders were cold! It tasted awful. After I had already mixed the noodles and broth and had the first bite, I realized the broth was only room temperature. I called the restaurant right away to give feedback. The host advised that "the order sat out a while before it was picked up" and that I should microwave it. If you remember, I went to pick it up within 10mins of placing the order... We went for the first time today because it's close to us, and it was absolutely delicious (as well as beautiful and roomy inside, with outdoor tables as well). I had a beef banh mi and my husband had Bun Cha Hanoi. Both had very generous portions of beef that was moist and flavorful. The Bun Cha Hanoi in particular was just fantastic, with a ton of herbs, but I really enjoyed my banh mi. I have tried their chicken, beef, and seafood pho and they all are delicious and toppings are fresh. Walked in, wasn't greeted. Stood at front desk for 15 mins until someone decided to say, "I'll be right with you." NO JOKE. Waited 5 more mins. A girl finally came. Told her what I ordered. Paid. Thankfully, I'm Vietnamese so I got my own fish sauce. Bun cha Hanoi was good. Everything else was alright. Also, During the time I was here I noticed Other food pickups weren't greeted either, and also had to wait. HILARIOUS. I've tried their pho filet mignon, spring rolls, summer rolls and banh xeo. They were all very delicious. Their banh xeo is probably my favorite dish I've had thus far. It was very crispy and their dipping sauce was soooo good. My complaints would be the wait for food is longer than other pho restaurants and their price is a little bit more pricier than others but I understand due to the fact that their ingredients and quality is better than others. This is my favorite pho in town!! I've gone to east wind many times, but the broth in the pho is 100000% times better than any other pho!!!

Good service at any restaurant is what makes people come back and feel welcome. Yesterdays incident was not the first time we have encountered rude service when we go here. We got there around 920 and we knew we were going to be cutting it close so ordering out was not off the table. But we came in, asked to dine in, and the man said, "we are closing in 30 mins, can you eat in 30 mins or you will carry out" it was a statement, not a question or an option. I looked at him, because we were being treated very rudely and he proceeded to ask again. We thought for a second to do carry out but we opt out of that option too. The funny part was while we were leaving, they brought their own food out and started eating in front of us while we were debating whether or not to order out. A solid pho spot! This is definitely not your normal Pho joint. You'll notice that the moment you walk in and see the modern furnishings and decor. The ambiance is a bit more modern and elevated. The service can be a bit slow at times, and the wait staff could check in a bit more frequently. But it's nothing horrible. I'm still not sure if the norm at this place is to pay for your check at the table or walk up to the register to pay. But the latter gets the job done faster. The food is pretty good. I recommend the crispy spring rolls for appetizer, the wrapper is a little bit different from other nearby pho places. The pho is also alright, I've had better but I've also definitely had much worse from places with 4 or 5 star yelp reviews. The portions are pretty good. I sometimes find that, at other pho places, you get the same amount of meat/noodles regardless of what size you order. The only difference being the amount of broth you get. But here, I noticed that the portions differ appropriately between small and large bowls. This place is also different from other Pho places in that they have a bar. The cocktails on the menu seemed interesting, so I decided to give one a try: the lychee mojito. It was good and had a good amount of alcohol in it, but the only issue was that it took a VERY long time for it to come out. If you want some yummy pho to hit the spot, then check out this place! I came here with some friends after being out in Virginia on a freezing night and this pho warmed me right up. Some of the better pho that I have discovered here in the DMV area. I ordered the Pho Combination Pho Thap Cam and I could barely finish the small, but of course it is hard for me to finish all that broth. It was really good and I liked the meat and noodles a lot. They have all the sauces and vegetables necessary for a traditional pho experience. They have a large selection of other dishes as well so I was tempted to try some rice dishes but I'll just have to get to that next time. My friends tried different types of phos and they all enjoyed them all. Also, I want to comment on beautiful their bowls and china are! They also have TVs and a bar so my friends ended up watching the football game throughout dinner. It also is attached to a strip mall area so it is not too big but there is plenty of space for families or big parties. The service is also pretty good. It appears like there had previously been a puke, and the area was not well cleaned. There are fewer tables available for in-house dining, more akin to a bar's setup than a restaurant's. The cuisine is quite expensive but not good. Thirty percent more than a typical Vietnamese restaurant within 4 miles radius.
