Amazing location right by the river and next to downtown Estes Park. Beautiful interior with local art on the wall for sale. Friendly baristas. The toasted bagel sandwiches were amazing. The Narrows sandwich with the jalapeño cheddar bagel was great. Smoothies were fresh and delicious. Nothing was bad and we were all fully satisfied. Go here for a smoothie or coffee drink, or even a sandwich for lunch/breakfast!

Kind Coffee in Estes Park is truly one of those places that makes your day a little brighter the moment you walk in. Their drinks are consistently incredible and their bagels are honestly some of the best I have ever had. Every time I visit, my go to order is an iced vanilla chai paired with one of their fresh bagels and it is the perfect combination. The flavors are always spot on and everything tastes so fresh, like it was made with real care. One of the things I love most is how fast their service is. Even when the line stretches all the way out the door, they keep everything moving smoothly without ever making you feel rushed. The staff is beyond friendly too. They greet you with genuine smiles, remember regulars, and really give off that warm, small town kindness that makes the experience feel extra special. The location itself is another reason this place stands out. It sits right along the river, so whether you are grabbing your drink to go or sitting outside for a bit, the atmosphere is always peaceful and so charming. You can hear the water, enjoy the view, and just relax for a moment. It is the kind of place you want to come back to every morning. If you find yourself in Estes Park, do yourself a favor and stop by Kind Coffee. It is everything you want in a local coffee shop and more.

Stopped in for a coffee and quick lunch and was not disappointed! Their summer menu is great and their bagels were soft and all the flavors worked so well together! The cashier was helpful in walking us through everything and this place was great for a quick bit or a meeting!

Such a great coffee place and don't be intimidated by the line it moves quick!! They have great seating indoor and outdoor and it's a perfect place to stop on the way to a hike or on your way out of town. I got their pumpkin spice latte and bacon egg and cheese sandwich on a croissant. Delish! Super simple and yummy. It's an adorable place and a must stop

It's a really cute spot that clearly promotes kindness in Estes Park. It shares a small parking spot with a handful of stores, but there is plenty of seating available. If you have a chance to walk to the store, I'd recommend you walk. The interior is clean with some seats and merch available. It looks like some of the sales from the merch goes towards discouraging bullying which seemed like a unique concept. The employees were also very polite and kept up the theme of serving coffee with kindness. Outside, there's plenty of seating and a nice river to walk by as well. I would gladly spend some time walking around here. The coffee here was good. The only reason why I'm a little bitter with my rating is the lack of coffee that was given with my coffee. I had a hot latte and there was a lot of room towards the top. It's like someone robbed me of a quarter of my coffee. The amount of coffee provided per person seemed inconsistent in my group, so this statement seems justified. Aside from the serving amount, this is a place I'd like to walk around or read a book in.

Kind coffee is an excellent spot in downtown Estes park!! I only gave 2 stars because there's another place with even more variety that I consider my favorite spot, but this place has excellent vibes and lots of windows/light and tables so it's a nice place to hang around. I had the blueberry cobbler house latte and it was smooth and sweet! The base is blueberry and brown sugar; I will say the blueberry flavor wasn't terribly strong, but blueberry usually isn't so I still enjoyed the drink. They'd recommended it iced so that's the way I got it. I would recommend it if you're in the area and want a solid, standard coffee and a nice, well lit place to sit!

Great little coffee shop to grab a coffee and a light snack/lunch option as you get into town. Has a dedicated free parking lot (small, most likely not useful during tourist season). The free EP visitor center parking is just steps away. Our food was good, service served with a side of smiles, ambience is relaxed and welcoming.

Highly recommend checking this place out when in Estes Park! The menu is full of amazing sounding coffee and tea options. It was hard to pick just one! I ended up ordering an iced Maple leaf matcha. It is so good! Service is super kind, and the barista gave great recommendations. Such a cozy and aesthetic cafe. Bright and scenic views out the big windows. Take your drink and go sit outside by the creek for really elevate the experience. Can't wait to try again!

Absolutely loved this coffee shop right on the river walk - I highly recommend starting your day here! They have unique and delicious drinks and a decent breakfast menu for a small shop. The vibe is very hipster and young, I wanted a lot of what they offered for merchandise too! Service took a bit because they had a large mobile order right before us. I had a cold brew with coconut and skim milk - was delicious and bold but not too sweet. I definitely recommend getting a breakfast sandwich here, the Narrows was unique and so tasty.

Wow, what a location. A running river in the back and yummy drinks in the front. I loved browsing the trinkets while I waited for my order. I got an Arnold Palmer with mango flavoring, it was so refreshing on a sunny warm day. I also picked out a bag of beans as a gift, the bags aren't labeled between ground and whole, so the barista made sure to check with me which one I preferred, which was appreciated. I enjoyed my drink while watching the water run.

We made sure to stop at this place on our way out of Estes! The service was so fast we decided to stay there to eat our food! We both got a delicious breakfast sandwich and coffee - both were SO GOOD! I love that there's outdoor seating that faces the river. Kind coffee has the best coffee in Estes Park, and I stopped in often before/after my treks to RMNP. I especially enjoyed the espresso and mate late (yerba mate + steamed milk, sure to make your eyeballs pop out of their sockets when all the caffeine hits you). The chairs are mostly hard back. The indoor space is U-shaped; one half of the U (with the espresso bar and cash register) is pretty loud and busy; the other half is quieter and has plenty of places to sit down and get some work done. There's usually today's newspaper on a table by the front, and there's plenty of outdoor seating and a nice brook out back. When you first walk in you're greeted by a barrage of angry signs: no credit cards under $5! Bathrooms for customers only! Wifi for customers only! Rawr! but those are perfectly understandable since you're in the tourist trap of downtown Estes Park. read more

I love everything about this coffee shop! It's so small and cute! Their coffee is not only organic and fair trade, but it's also DELICIOUS. All I had was a medium roast with a little milk and sugar, but it was the freshest tasting coffee I've ever had. The location itself is amazing as well. The river walk is right behind it with a goreous and relaxing view. Love it! Will make this a a frequent spot when we go back next year! read more

I love this place with table and chairs on the river. Free wifi , great dark blend coffee and open @6:30 ...time for a quick cup and read the first section of the Wall Street Journal and I'm off to work at Romantic RiverSong . Life is good here . read more

Good fair trade coffee... Light, medium and dark roast available in drip. We had one small and one medium for a total of $3.10. They also offer specialty drinks, although I just had the drip. Free refills available if you bring your own cup! read more

We were in need of coffee and definitely prefer local shops than big chains. The Mexican hot chocolate was great. We talked to the barista about our visit for the night and when we went in the next day she asked us about it. That is excellent customer service!! Spent $90 on sandwiches to take on a hike. When we opened the bags and were very hungry, we were missing one sandwich but even worse two of the sandwiches were made with heels! First time I have ever paid $10 for a sandwich made with a heel. read more

As out-of-towners, we relied on Yelp for some breakfast suggestions and were excited to see what all the rave is about. Maybe we hit an off day, but we were very disappointed. The menu looked trendy and healthy, but the options weren't customizable at all, (e.g., I was craving the breakfast burrito but sans potatoes.. however the filling is pre-made). I opted for a breakfast sandwich instead. The egg was not a real, freshly cooked egg, but rather a perfect circular cut-out of scrambled up something-or-other... and cold, at that. It resembled what I'd guess Burger King or McDonnalds breakfast would be like. All of our food was cold, in fact, including our child's hot cocoa. The entire time we choked down our food, (indoors mind you), we had to swat at flies and gnats around our plates. Definitely not a good experience. Looking forward to hitting up Snooze, a real breakfast experience, before we head home. read more

Best coffee in Colorado!!! We drive up to Estes as often as possible just to come here (& the beautiful mountains of course!). Everything we've ever tried has been delicious. Highly recommend the Mexi Mocha or an iced latte, but I'm positive anything they make would be wonderful! Friendly staff and beautiful coffee shop, doesn't get any better than this place! read more

Organic, fair trade, great tasting coffee! The only coffee shop I've found anywhere that actually offers almond milk as a milk option...this is a huge plus because I can't (and won't) drink dairy and there's a lot of controversy surrounding soy. Yummy smoothies & teas too! Kind Coffee also has a great setting along the river walk & friendly staff! The only coffee house we visit when in Estes! read more

We were staying with friends in Boulder, CO and visited Estes Park to climb a trail in the Rocky Mountain National Park. Because of the great coffee at Kind Coffee, we came back the next day to climb another trail and this time we combined it with breakfast. I had an excellent meatless breakfast burrito that kept me going until mid-afternoon and another extra shot latte to keep me fired up until then too. Then back for another coffee before heading back to Boulder. read more

The Hallets Peak Bowl is always my go-to. Fresh, healthy, and delish. The parking is not ideal; they have small parking lots on both sides of the restaurant. I've also read that their lots are full, locals recommend parking along High Drive, just past the county road sign and then walking 2-3 min to the restaurant. Enjoy!

And I added the bacon and jalapeños to the burger! In Denver, this would be $25, haha. The cheese fries (small) were really enough for two people. So you get your money's worth after a day exhausting yourself at RMNP. Burger was great. I added some mustard to mine at the table. It comes with LTO, ketchup, and mayo. This tastes like what you want at a backyard BBQ. Served on a red plastic tray with paper lining, this mom and pop place dishes humble food without breaking the bank. Bacon was crispy, cheese was melty, I had no complaints! Only knock on the cheese fries were that they desperately needed salt. It's not the best burger place of all time, but it doesn't need to be. I would've prefered the pizza to be cooked for another minute in the oven personally, but that's not a knock on them. It desperately needed salt. In the dough and on the tomatoes. The tomatoes slid right off every time I tried to take a bite. It was just severely under-seasoned and really didn't have any flavor at all. I would actually come back here because I do like restaurant concepts like these that offer different experiences throughout the day. A great place to hang out and recharge. I will stick with breakfast and coffee next time!

Not even room temperature - warm, like it had been sitting under a heat lamp. The turkey panini had way more mayo that should be allowed on a sandwich and the bread was barely toasted. We waited so long for our food we couldn't risk sending it back. As it was, we were there for so long we had to change our afternoon plans to go to RMNP because we rain out of time. Fortunately, we live only an hour away so we can go back. If you are looking to maximize your time in Estes I would not recommend Notchtop. Plenty of other options in Estes.

I slept about 4 hours the night before to make it early for sunrise. To say that a few tasty beers were what the doctor ordered would be the understatement of the century! None of this matters, of course, to the good folks at Rocky Cut Brewing Company. This is off the main drag of Estes in an unassuming strip plaza. Humble vibes inside, a simple U-shaped bar top with seating all around, a few smaller tables, a community table, and a large patio with mostly picnic table seating. If you're lucky, snag a stool right along the Big Thompson River! Though, I recommend they fix the wooden placeholders for beers, they're leaning on the wrong side of history, we don't want any full glasses of beer reaching an unnecessary demise! Interference IPA * American IPA * 6.7% * 16oz ($7) From their website: "Climbing the Interference Boulder in Rocky Mountain National Park requires strength and power. This Colorado IPA showcases the power of hops with an intense blend forging citrus aromas with a pine forward finish. Featured ingredients: Cascade, El Dorado, Mosaic, Chinook, & Simcoe hops * Recommended adventure: hiking Black Lake, climbing the Twin Owls, skiing upper Hidden Valley." A perfectly apt description. Nestled by the riverside walking path, this coffee shop boasts a picturesque location that promises a serene and refreshing atmosphere. Eager to explore their offerings, my friend and I opted for the Kind Latte. However, our patience was tested as it took over 25 minutes to prepare, understandable given the bustling activity within the shop. The latte itself was a mixed experience. It leaned towards the less sweet side and unfortunately lacked the robust flavor we had hoped for. While not disappointing, it didn't quite leave a lasting impression. Regrettably, the overall encounter fell into the realm of mediocrity. As an advocate for supporting local coffee shops, it's disappointing to note that this particular visit didn't meet the expectations. The investment in both time and money didn't align with the experience delivered. The toasted bagels with cream cheese, while decent, weren't exceptional either. In light of our underwhelming encounter, we chose not to revisit for the remainder of our stay in Estes. However, it wasn't an entirely forgettable experience, as I did find solace in purchasing some beautifully crafted stickers. The coffee is ok, but the service is really bad. We visited here several times on our trip to Estes Park and the staff was very unfriendly. My husband ordered a coffee and a lady went up and grabbed his, took a sip, and then said to the employee that was not what she ordered. He then said oh sorry that was his, and gave the cup to my husband...after she took a sip out of it! My husband and I were both baffled and asked for new one...he acted very put out, but grudgingly gave him new one. So although the coffee was decent, beware it is fresh and not previously "used". And we came back a second day ( it is very tasty) and they had paper straws and I asked if these were the straws and a lady rudely answered that " yes they were." Be nice to your customers, don't use paper straws gross, and open your ears when taking an order. read more
