Great brunch experience! Amazing food options, great service, and the best monkey bread!

Small dining room had a 30 person party making an enormous amount of noise, laughing, shouting, clapping. Impossible to hear each other speak. They should not allow large parties in the main dining room. They also declined to open outdoor seating to allow people to escape the noise. Steak was unevenly cooked, no sear, dry as dust, no seasoning, and nowhere near the requested temperature. For a restaurant whose whole identity is "wood fired", they should know how to cook steak. Other food was ok. Not remotely matched to their upscale image and prices. read more

My wife and I are Islamorada locals and we went to Kindler for the first time last night for dinner for our anniversary... the restaurant is beautifully appointed. Our server Edwin was totally on point through our entire meal. He knew the menu top to bottom and was very attentive. My wife and I both had steaks ( I had the hanger and she had a filet) and we also had the monkey bread and crab fritters to start as well as the asparagus, mushrooms and potato pavè for sides. Everything was prepared perfectly and packed with flavor! To finish Edwin brought us a piece of the butter cake on the house to celebrate our evening. Definitely a 5 star dinner and we will undoubtedly be going back! read more

We stumbled upon Kindler at the Three Waters Resort purely by chance - and what a discovery it was! With modest expectations and no reservation, we were surprised to find the restaurant fully booked, even off-season. After a short wait, we were warmly welcomed by Edwin, who guided us attentively through the evening. The atmosphere is tasteful, the open kitchen works at championship level, and from our table we could watch Chef Benjamin Loftus personally adding the final touch to every dish - all executed at a standard easily worthy of a Michelin star. The Grilled Spiny Lobster, the Mahi Mahi steamed in banana leaf, and the Piri-Piri chicken were perfectly prepared - rich in flavor yet true to the essence of each ingredient. The layers of taste unfolding on our palates could easily rival the signature dishes of Paul Qui, and I'm certain that sooner or later, critics will take serious notice of this rising star on the culinary horizon. Starters and desserts perform at the same high level. The wine selection is smartly curated and - like the food - fairly priced; it pairs beautifully with the restaurant's culinary style. I think this may be the first review I have ever written but our experience tonight has changed that. Our entire evening was just terrific. Edwin out waiter brought the enthusiasm and attention. The food was amazing. We split the lobster, grouper and hanger steak and a side of the pauva potatoes. All were excellent but especially the steak and the potatoes. First time for grouper and was quite impressed. Half the staff joined in singing happy birthday to me and dessert was excellent. Can say enough about this place. read more

Just finished our incredible meal hosted by Edwin who is a bundle of energy making a dinner into a party. What a beautiful restaurant with food and service better than we have had in the Keys anywhere. The five of us enjoyed several different entrees and apps. Lots of seafood and red meat options as well as some inventive apps. The steaks were cooked perfectly and we could watch the chefs work the wood burning oven which was so cool. There were four in our party looking for a special dinner for my wife's birthday. I mention that when I made the reservation by phone. We were greeted nicely upon entering. We were seated and found the menus sitting on top of the napkins over the plates. The menus looked good and expensive as anticipated. The barato and cherry tomatoes were very good. We ordered the 24 ounce Cowboy steak which appeared less than 24 ounces but it was very good. You would expect very good fish in the Keys but the dish was very fishy and the bokchoy had grit in it. The cost of a glass of Pinot Noir was $20. No mention or attempt was made to recognize the birthday. Sadly we were all disappointed. The three stars were very generous. It was a shame because we loved the ambience. At those prices they need to up the game. Providing tablecloths would be a good start! read more

Our experience at Kindler's wood fire grill proved steeped in savory flavor, exceptional service, and lovely drinks. My filet mignon was grilled with expert care to perfection per my order. My husband' enjoyed every bite of his Mahi Mahi - grilled wrapped in a protective banana leaf. My Bloody Mary was an explosion of yummy flavor. Our waiter, Rasih, paid exceptional attention to us without being intrusive. He ensured we enjoyed every minute of our experience. We dined in the beautiful, lush outdoor setting in bathed in fun tiki torch light. To top off our evening, we had a sublime Key Lime bar. It was not too sweet and struck just the right amount of pucker! We had delicious hot tea, served with tea pots and local honey.
