Sweet and sour, black bean beef, fried rice, chow mein and eggroll.

We've been coming to King Eggroll for some time now and it's pretty consistent if you need quick grub to take out. The eggrolls are good but are getting pricey along with the chicken. It is a good place for party trays though. It's located in a small strip mall which only offers take out. The restaurant is rather plain and the ladies working the steam table are rather welcoming. If you want a good selection of Chinese food for dinner I recommend going early as they do run out but don't fret, once you get your meal you will have plenty for the next day and/or enough to share.

This location has the BEST chicken egg rolls. They are always fresh, crispy and delicious. I also love their banana fritters. They offer hot Chinese food options as well but I stick to my chicken egg rolls and banana fritters. When in the area this place is a must. Maybe next time I'll try their sweet and sour chicken as it did look pretty good.

After reading some reviews, I decided to try this place. I got a combo plate and shrimp dumplings. The total was $21. They used whole cremini mushrooms for the chicken, which I enjoyed but thought the stir fry was a bit raw. The shrimp dumplings were really good as well, 9/10. The chow mein was good and the rice was okay! It was a bit dry. Overall, I like how this was a quick food place. Im not sure if I would come back though, only bc the food didn't really fit my taste buds.

Best place for eggrolls and salt and pepper pork spareribs. We always order the party trays. $22 for small white container and $45 for small party tray for pork spareribs. $45.37 for small party tray for eggrolls of 24. I saved $3 from my total of $76 by paying with cash instead of credit card. Credit card is 3% charge. The eggroll was hot when I picked it up and got it to our far destination. Very fresh! We have also tried the Beef and broccoli, spring rolls, xiu mai, fried shrimp balls, veggies.

Food is always delicious especially their fried xiu mai and fried rice. Service is also friendly and approachable. The ambiance clean and organized.

This restaurant does like a Chinese takeout where you select entrees and your side, and it also serves Vietnamese food. From my experience, the food is alright and cheap. It doesn't really stand out much, but at the same time, it doesn't taste bad. I'd say that the fried rice tastes slightly better than the rest of the food. At least the portion sizes are big that I can't even finish the rest, but this seems to be also at the cost of food quality. It's really hot inside here and I thought that this restaurant has much seatings, but when I walked inside, they only have one table with few seats sitting at the edge of the wall. Plus, it's hot outside. No AC especially during the summer time. I wanted to dine-in here but it's not really a good place to do that especially during the summer time. I even asked for a chicken eggroll, but this was a vegetable one? Not sure though since I don't often eat those. Either way, it's fine. It's just Chinese takeout and I don't really expect much. I'd say that the place is fine for eating out during lunch. If you're just hungry, you can swing by to this place.

Stars go to the cleanliness and the nice staff Totally disappointed. Last time i was here was over 20 years ago. I bought 6 chicken egg rolls 6 pork egg rolls I tried the pork egg roll, little protein, mainly cabbage... i had to take a photo because this is NOT what i was expecting. I gave the chicken egg roll in hope thay MAYBE i wasnt lucky with my first one... same results. I had to take a photo. The food was hot yes, but the amount of protein should definitely improve especially when each egg roll is $1.90.

    Spring roll
    Gabriel G.

Came to this spot expecting cheap Chinese food as recommended by Reddit. I would say it's not the most cheap seeing that one egg roll is $1.90, and the portions being served didn't seem to be as generous as I've seen from other places like this on social media. If you've gone to Panda Express the portions seem to be about the same size, but you would probably have better quality here. However, I only ordered the spring roll box and it was about $9. For the price it was a good amount of food but not a bargain. The spring rolls were actually pretty good. They had a thin slice of beef in each as well as shrimp and I like that it had some mint.

Egg Rolls- some pork, some chicken...all delicious!

The price is decent for the plates. The eggrolls were okay and on a blander side. There was barely any meat in the eggrolls.

Does this location offer fry rice in the party tray size?

    Yes.

Do I need to call ahead to get a tray of eggrolls? I've calling and it always says it's busy.

Yes, you should pre-order trays of food. Otherwise, with eggrolls, they make them fast but I'd guess you wait 10 min. No seating inside and I guess with new owners, they don't care about phone orders? I wrote the poor rating just days ago, the…

I'm torn between ordering a tray of beef broccoli or orange chicken.. has anyone tried both? Which would you recommend? I need to order for a party this weekend.

Depends on your taste preferences, but I personally like the orange chicken better. If you haven't tried them yet, I recommend asking for a sample before you order the party trays!

Is dim sold sold in the evening?

They will be available until sold out

Has anyone used King Eggroll for group events? I need to feed 12 adults. I don't see pricing on the menu for large orders.

Yes, I ordered trays. Easy to feed a lot of people.

Does anyone know what kind of meat is in the Eggrolls? Chicken or pork?

They have options for chicken, pork, or veggie.

Do they accept debit cards or is it still cash only?

This one and the one in Milpitas take credit cards. I paid with credit card today. Don't know about the one over at Story Road.

Will they be open Thanksgiving Day? Thanks.

    YES

Does this location accept credit card?

    THEY DO NOW!!! YAY!!!

    Are the eggrolls vegetarian?

No they are not but I know you can order to make for a tray or so.

Has anyone used King Eggroll to cater a party?

Yes egg rolls and shrimp balls

The tables are fairly close together since it is a small restaurant. Banh cuon special was chef's kiss I loved that it had a variety of foods and textures. There are other places I can go as backups, but when I want the complete bánh cuốn meal, this is the place to go. Food (5 stars) + The Đặc Biệt is still the #1 order here. It's a huge plate and you get a little bit of everything: the plain rice rolls with shrimp sprinkled on top, bánh cuốn stuffed with meat, pork roll, egg roll, and their crispy fried shrimp cake. Everything complements each other perfectly. + The rice rolls are soft and fresh, and I especially like the ones stuffed with meat. Pour their sweet and savory fish sauce all over it and add some of the red chili peppers if you want some heat. Excellent! + Their fried items are also what separates this place from some of the others. The egg roll is crispy and the fried shrimp cake actually has a nice big shrimp on there. Even the slightly steamed bean sprouts and herbs work perfectly with everything else on the plate. + This time I ordered the smaller plate with just the meat-filled bánh cuốn instead of the Đặc Biệt. It's around $15 and is actually the perfect amount for me where I'm full but not overly stuffed. However, for only a couple bucks more, I'd still recommend the Đặc Biệt. You just get so much more food! Service/Ambiance (3.5-4 stars) + Service is pretty standard for a Vietnamese restaurant. They're not constantly coming around to refill your water, but if you raise your hand or flag someone down, they'll come over and help you. Nobody is looking the other way pretending they didn't see you! + The restaurant itself is pretty small inside, but they have a much larger outdoor seating area. We came during lunch and didn't have to wait long. + I brought my dog Marley so we sat outside. It was a warm day but there was enough airflow that it was actually pretty comfortable. - One strange thing I've noticed during my last two visits: the water has a slight soapy taste. Maybe that's proof they do an excellent job washing their cups, but they could probably use an extra rinse! This time I just brought my own water. 4 years after my original 5-star review, nothing has really changed for me. I've had plenty of bánh cuốn around the Bay Area and this is still the place I compare everyone else to. The service and ambiance might only be around 3.5-4 stars, but I'm not coming here for fancy service. I'm coming for bánh cuốn, and the food is still 5 stars!

We've probably eaten here 50+ times with family and friends, and one thing I can say is that they are 100% consistent. We've never had a bad meal here. There's a great variety of Vietnamese dishes, so everyone can usually find something they like. The chả cá (fish) is one of their popular dishes and a favorite. They also have good chicken phở, broken rice, vermicelli noodles, spring rolls, roll-your-own options, and plenty of soups beyond phở. You can order individual dishes or share family-style, which makes it especially easy when coming with a group. It's very casual, family-friendly, quick, and straightforward--nothing fancy and probably not where I'd choose for a date night. But for a dependable meal with family or friends, it's a great spot. Kids like it, parents like it, and my mom likes it--which says a lot coming from an older Vietnamese person who knows her Vietnamese food! The staff is always efficient and nice, and after all these years, the food remains consistently good. The biggest downside is parking. The entire shopping center has become so busy with restaurants that finding a spot can be overwhelming, especially during peak hours. Also, keep in mind they do not take credit cards. I noticed cobwebs that appeared to have been hanging in place for a long time, along with dirt and grime collecting in corners throughout the dining room. The faded print and worn condition made them look as though they hadn't been replaced in years. Those details created an impression of neglect that made it difficult to relax and enjoy the meal.
