After a moment she came a cut off a hunk of meat that had obviously been sitting and was so dried out that it had changed color so I asked for a different cut that was fresh so she cut on the same side but a different location that was also dried out and discolored. I asked for a slice that was fresh and she threw down the knife and walked away, came back with a different knife, cut a huge chunk and when I said that's fine she threw down the tongs and it told me to take whichever piece I wanted and walked away in a huff. Other customer standing there commented about her attitude and said they were afraid to ask her to cut them some ham which also looked pretty dried up because they didn't want to put up with her attitude. I gave this a three star because everyone else I interacted with at the restaurant was pretty nice and the food was edible but if I was going solely off of her and her behavior, I would not recommend anyone going there to eat if you want to have a pleasant experience

The sushi selection was stellar for a buffet. Fresh sashimi and plenty of rolls to choose from, all tasting fresh and well made. The space itself is great and the service was solid and attentive. If a group includes someone who isn't a fan of sushi, there are options for them. My wife and I both ordered a miso soup to start along with beverages and I also ordered a shrimp shu mai appetizer. We then stuck with the sushi which was available at the buffet. Since they state up front that they will charge for "wasted" food, the best recommendation is not to load up your plate but get a smaller number of things at a time and make multiple visits to the buffet. The variety of creative rolls impressed me as well as the quality. I was also impressed with how clean the restaurant was. It was very busy, but all the employees were in motion and they really seemed to be working well together. Food was great across the board, and the service was very prompt and accommodating. It is a tight and busy place. Not a lot invested in decor, but it was still a great restaurant. All in all, it was maybe a bit pricey, but not out of line for a really good Japanese restaurant. With the appetizer and the beer, it was $73.99 including tax but not including tip. We left full, but there were no leftovers.

I wish we could customize the choices a bit as the fried roll didn't suit our preferences, but maybe they would accommodate if we had just asked! Also, the wasabi is very intense, more so than any other place I've had it. A little goes a long way! In short, everything was fresh and flavorful, a fantastic sushi experience. Would recommend :)
