It's been a while since I visited a King Taco. It has to have been years. I was craving a burrito and we happened to be in the area, so we said let's try! I ordered a carne asada burrito and taco, but the meat was extremely tough and tasted old - as if it had been overcooked and sitting a while. Portion size was good and the salsa roja had heat, which I love. The cashier was really nice too and got our order out within minutes. Unfortunately, it's going to be really hard to visit again after the bad burrito and taco. Place was nice and clean and has additional seating left of the cashier past the doorway.

I ordered three chicken quesadillas. One quesadilla was stuck to another. They were cheesy and had the right amount of chicken. It also had salsa which I wasn't expecting. The inside of the restaurant is big. There were at least a dozen tables. Service was not too bad. I got the quesadillas in 10 minutes or less.

The food is not too expensive and delicious, the workers hate non-Spanish speakers. I come often and they are always ornery. They'll never give you napkins and a fork you have to wait 4 minutes on the side and ask, it gets old

Nice customer service and a clean location. Free parking was a convenient bonus. I ordered a carne asada burrito, and they prepared it quickly, even calling me up to the counter to make sure my order was right. The red sauce was delicious, but the burrito itself was a bit lackluster--there wasn't much flavor, and the rice had veggies mixed in, which I'm not a fan of.

My wife was born and raised in LA and introduced me to King Taco on one of our first dates. We have since made it a mission to try to visit all of their locations. This is my favorite location. The parking is convenient. In a lot around the block that offers 90 minutes of free parking. Seating is decent. There are two dining rooms that usually have available seats. The reason it's our favorite though is the food. The burrito and nachos are always packed with meat. Everything tastes fresh and the wait is usually pretty quick. We ordered this weekend, with a decent crowd, and had our food within 10 minutes. As a LA staple, I can't speak highly enough of King Taco. If you haven't checked it out, definitely give it a try!

I enjoy coming here. Tacos and burritos always taste fresh and really good. Love their Carne Asada and Alpastor. They make a really good Horchata. Great customer service. There is a parking garage behind it. There is always a lot of seating even during busy hours.

My whole family LOVES King Taco. I've grown up with this food, so it's extremely nostalgic for me. For years, we've made trips to LA, trying to secure some extra red sauce for the family, and then freezing some to enjoy later. The sauce alone makes the drive worth it. I'm also a big fan of the sopes here! Are they the best ever? No, but they're still delicious. I truly don't understand the negative reviews for Kt in general, hoping this remains a family staple forever!

    Cheese and jalapeño tamale

I've never eaten a taco at King Taco (vegetarianism), so I can't speak to tacos which is what most people get here obviously. What I will say is that the cheese jalapeño tamales are underrated. I'm always pleased at the flavor and texture of the tamales. I also love the horchata here, I don't know what brand it is or if they make it in-house, but it's really good. This location has a lot of seating and the service was quick when I went. Some employees only speak Spanish but it's easy to communicate with them, so it's not really an issue.

I went back to take a picture I literally had to hold my breath

What is gluten free on the menu?

I don't think they have gluten free stuff on their menu.

    Do you take phone orders?

Yeah but you might as well walk in and order cause even if you give them 15mins plus the order won't be ready you'll still have to wait in line, remind them about the order, and only then will they start to make your order after youve paid for it… Read more

The service was outstanding; they refilled said chips and AMAZING salsa three times. The food (generous portions) came our quickly and they refilled the waters before being asked. What can you make vegan? I asked, since the menu didn't mention anything specifically. The waiter, unbothered, began listing what they could make me but I stopped him pretty quickly at enchiladas. They ended up being good but the star of the plate was their vegan rice; it was clearly different from what all the meat eaters got on their plates. There's was yellow/orange, but mine was green and fragrant- cilantro and lime clearly central in the cooking. SO GOOD! I will definitely come back for the service and to try something else from the ready list of vegan entrees they seemed happy to offer off-menu.

Last Saturday, we celebrated a family member's birthday at this restaurant. Just want to say right…read moreoff the bat that this place really hit it out of the ball park in almost all aspects of the dining experience. First off, it's a beautiful restaurant with Spanish touches throughout. There is seating inside and outside the restaurant in the courtyard. In the courtyard, there was a musician playing the guitar. Loved, LOVED his rendition of Hotel California. Really put me in a relaxing mood. The food here is unbelievably good with a few minor exceptions. Here is a run down of everything we had: -Patatas Bravas 5/5 stars. The roasted potatoes were delicious and the creamy sauce drizzled on top made it that much better. -Croquetas de Jamon y Pollo 4/5 stars. I remember it being tasty, but it wasn't as memorable as some of the other things I tried. -Gambas al Ajillo 5/5 stars. The shrimp was perfectly cooked and flavored. Even the bread, which tasted like sourdough, was fantastic. -Calamares Fritos 10/5 stars. No, that is not a typo. I usually avoid calamari like the plague since I'm not a fan of the taste. Here, however, I couldn't stop eating the calamari. I was popping them in my mouth like popcorn. There was something about the batter they used to coat the calamari. It had a satisfying crunch to it. Didn't even need the sauce it came with. -Prime Ribeye (prepared medium rare) 3/5 stars. The steak was okay. It was a bit undercooked and didn't have a nice crust on it. -Papitas Fritas: 10/5 stars. Once again, not a typo. The fries here were something special, which is saying a lot since fries are ubiquitous. The fries were delicately crispy and delicious. -Jamon Iberico Cebi de Campo with Manchego Cheese 4/5 stars. The Jamon Iberico was good, but not great. It had a slightly weird after taste that I usually don't get from high quality Jamon Iberico. -Tarta De Queso and Churros con Chocolate 3/5 stars. These were the only two items that I was truly disappointed with. There was nothing special about these dessert items. The churros were bland. -Cucumber Mint Cooler and Devil's Day Off 5/5 stars. Both of these drinks were refreshing. The Cucumber Mint Cooler, in case you're wondering, could best be described as a well executed, non-alcoholic cucumber mojito. The Devil's Day Off was a fizzy grapefruit and cinnamon delight. I have to end this review with the service. It was top notch. Our server, Robert, was not only extremely friendly, but helpful and informative. He walked us through the menu and talked us out of ordering certain items so that we wouldn't over order food or get items too similar to one another. At one point, we were debating whether to order the Churrasco a la Plancha (8 oz ribeye) or 12 oz ribeye. One person from our family wanted the fritas that only came with the Churrasco while another person (me) wanted the 12 oz ribeye. Robert resolved the disagreement by suggesting that we just order the 12 oz ribeye and they'll throw in the fritas for free (which they did). At the end of the meal, he made sure to point out that the gratuity had already been added to the bill and that there was no need to add a tip. We appreciated the heads up, otherwise we may not have noticed that. If it's not clear from my write up, I really enjoyed this place, despite a few items that missed the mark. If it wasn't so far away from where I live, I would have been back this weekend to try out more items from the menu.
