Lots of sushi rolls to choose from

Well I finally made my way over to Kingdom Buffet and I couldn't get over how many people were already inside! This place is huge and reminded me of a Vegas buffet. The sushi rolls, crab Rangoon, and coconut shrimp were my favorites. I stuck with prepared dinner food and skipped the hibachi, although I am willing to bet that it was good. I was on sensory overload and didn't feel like figuring out how it worked. I also skipped the crab legs. They were too small in my opinion to bother cracking. Lastly, I passed on dessert too. It didn't look like anything worth bothering with (I.e. jello, ice cream, premade eclairs, etc.). This restaurant was loud, but the service was fast and friendly. Not sure that I will rush back, but if Asian buffets are your thing, you might want to go.

I have heard some buzz on this buffet and we had been invited to lunch with family friends providing the opportunity to visit sooner rather than later. There is ample parking and conveniently located at the Stop & Shop plaza on Kitts Lane in Newington, right next to Stop & Shop. This is probably one of the better buffets I have been to. They even have a noodle station beside the usual stations found at other buffets. The sushi station not only has sushi rolls, it also has assorted sushi and sashimis with a variety of sauces. The staff were quick to clear tables and attentive. Everything was clean too. It wasn't overly crowded when I went either. I had a great experience.

I finally decided to check out Kingdom Buffet after seeing it all over TikTok, and I'm glad I did. They opened in January this year, so they are still pretty new. The restaurant is very clean and spacious, with tons of options including meats, rice, noodles, fresh fruit, seafood, sushi, a hibachi station, pizza, and more. It is definitely comparable to Royal Buffet, which used to be in Manchester,CT. If you know, you know. The highlight was crab legs, crawfish, and whole crab. You really cannot go wrong with that. The food was seasoned well and fresh, and they were constantly bringing out new trays. The staff were attentive, and everything stayed stocked. The only downside for me was the butter served with the crab legs. It tasted off and was almost inedible. All in all, I enjoyed it and will definitely go back.

A very clean place with a huge variety of sushi and also Chinese food so you can either get cooked or raw and there's something for everyone. It's also very clean. You don't have to do the buffet if you want you can just take a Styrofoam container and fill it with what you want and then they weigh it for you otherwise you can do the buffet.

Family adventures My kid found this place on TikTok and we decided to try it out. It was good but with average buffet flavors. The food variety was good, I went straight for the sushi and I liked it. , the only thing was it lacked of salad options . The only thing we didn't try was the hibachi station but that will be on our next trip. I was impressed with the cleanliness that had a A+ including the bathroom was spotless. And the waitress was friendly and attentive that also had an A . Until our next visit.

I was very impressed with this buffet since we don't have any good Chinese buffet around us in CT. Since this buffet is new, everything is new, clean, and food and good at the moment. I hope they do not slip and reduce the quality of food. They have soups, dumplings, Chinese food, fried apps, American food, habachi, sushi, and decent amount of seafood for dinner. They also had fruits and salad. I was extremely happy to see the yellow dragonfruit. I ate a ton! Besides the fruits for dessert there's cup ice cream cookies, and some bakery goods. I def will be back again. I wasn't disappointed and imperial has competition. They might close down being near kingdom buffet in my opinion

At 4PM on Super Bowl Sunday I was shocked to see Kingdom Buffet so packed. And I'm talking multiple parties of 10-20 people walking in, with birthday balloons and Valentine's flowers and such. It was an equal shock to be seated so quickly and have our drink orders taken (but the server indignantly protested my request for "free" soda when I had actually requested "three" for our table). Anyway... The food was fine, but the prices were high for a buffet. The sushi and sashimi were the standouts for me while everything else was typical buffet fare. On this bone chilling day I would have loved some soup, but I didn't see any. The lines were definitely a hindrance, though, so I probably missed a lot because I didn't want to stand in the hibachi line or wait for the comically tiny crab legs to be refilled. Maybe I'll go back in a few months when the newness wears off and the crowds die down.

Hot food, including pizza (for the kids) and apple strudel for desert.

A nice pan-Asian offering in Newington. The buffet has items that range from Japanese sushi, to hot Chinese-American dishes as well as a to-order noodle bar, finishing with a whole dessert section with fresh fruit, jello and pastry options. The food overall is quite a bit better than normal buffet fare. Everything is hot, fresh, and filling. In some ways, I preferred the hot food to the sushi, which itself is quite good as well; obviously you can't come here expecting the same quality as a high end Japanese restaurant, but it is nevertheless quite good. The restaurant is well staffed; they are very attentive in coming by to refill drinks and clear dishes. Lunch ran in the low $20 mark for an all you can eat lunch + hot tea, which is pretty good for what you get. I'm curious to see if they're able to maintain the quality over time, or if they'll start to slide while they maximize profits. Give it a try!

3.5 stars. Went to Kingdom Buffet for lunch on a Sunday afternoon. It was $26.95 for adults on the weekend. I feel like it was a bit pricey but everything is nowadays. I went with my partner and it ran about $58 before tip. The place was clean and I like the spacing of the tables. The waitress was attentive and refill drinks quickly. Along with the normal buffet, they had a sushi, hibachi, and noodle area. I didn't try the make your own hibachi or noodles but the sushi was pretty good for a buffet. I did enjoy the normal Chinese American buffet. They refill it with fresh hot food quickly. Some parts of the buffet is single line so there is a bit of a wait if you're behind someone who is taking forever. You may have to jump over them if you're a bit impatient. Overall nice clean buffet just a bit pricey for people who get full quickly.

Once you come to this Chinese buffet, you won't go anywhere else! The place is brand new. Super clean and the ambiance is very nice. The restaurant is huge and the staff is constantly cleaning and keeping an eye on things. The food selection was excellent. So much sushi and seafood, the traditional Chinese dishes and American dishes as well and the choice to do hibachi. Everything was fresh and plentiful. The shrimp they serve is huge! No baby shrimps here! lol it's a bit more expensive than other Chinese buffets, but well worth it. Go hungry!

We decided to stop at Kingdom Buffet for lunch and had a good experience. The service was phenomenal, our waitress was so attentive and so friendly with our toddler. The place was huge and beautifully set up, the food area was very clean and there were some nice offerings like a sushi bar, hibachi station and noodle bar besides the regular prepared food. Everything tasted great but would have loved to see a bit more variety compared to other buffets Ive been to. Overall it was a good experience.

Lot of selections, short on flavor. Food seems low quality. Not bad, but I wouldn't go back

Very poor experience and bad food. Pricing options were very confusing, and complicated. The main…read morebuffet line they have out is $11.49 a pound, and then the meat behind the counter is $16.49. I took about a pound and a half from the buffet of the beef stew, chicken, rice, plantains, and tomato salad, and a cheese ball. Then I ordered separately the meat behind the counter. The more expensive meat that was supposed to be medium rare was incredibly gamy, hard to swallow and quite under seasoned. Not good at all. That was a waste. The beef stew was also under seasoned, the sauce lacked flavor, and taste. This was softer, it was fine meat but nothing that should be restaurant grade. The rice resembled a sea. Someone dumped way too much salt in, it was dreadful. The tomato salad was not salted, and had no dressing, a lackluster item. The plantains were not crisp as they should be. The cheese bread ball, a cheese flavored rock. Worthless. Lastly to the chicken which was the brightest spot, it was nice and soft and juicy, perhaps the only good thing on that whole buffet line. And this didnt come close to cutting it for me. As if I wanted more I would have to keep on paying and I was already $30 down. I never intended to spend so much. The pricing seems fair but once you start eating, you will go though plates and have to stop yourself before the bill is in the $40 plus dollar range. It makes no sense why they charge per pound and not just do one charge and it be ayce. Charging 11.49 for rice or beans, at 11.49 at the same price as the beef stew is ridiculous. The sauces that they have also are all mass produced processed junk. They didn't taste fresh. Terrible waste of money, won't be back find literally any other restaurant to go to. Another thing, this restaurant had flags around there store, I believe for the world cup, you would think this is fine and dandy however in the front of the store a freaking NORTH KOREA flag was hung up, and get this, it went right next to a Russia, China & Iran flag!!! This is a massive naivety, even though I don't believe it was deliberate it is unacceptable.

There are tables but the spot in general is no-frills. I got the yellow rice and peas, black beans, Maduros, Pernil, and steak. Everything was great but I wasn't a fan of the maduros. I want to be very clear about something: I understand that managing my food allergy is ultimately my responsibility. I carry EpiPens. I communicate my allergy. I take it seriously because I understand the potential consequences. Today, however, the manager blamed me because apparently their green cards are supposed to indicate that someone at the table has an allergy. There's a pretty significant problem with that explanation: we were never asked about allergies, nor were we told what the different colored cards mean. I don't work there. How am I supposed to know that green is their internal warning system if nobody explains it? More importantly, that explanation doesn't account for the previous incident. The last time this happened, we DID have the green card and DID explicitly tell our waitress about my scallop allergy. Scallops still ended up in our food. So this isn't one misunderstanding. Their allergy-safety process has now failed us on two separate occasions, including once when we followed the procedure management is now claiming should have prevented it. And I wasn't looking for a free meal, a discount, or compensation today. I wasn't asking for anything. I raised the issue because this has happened twice and food allergies can have serious consequences. Instead of acknowledging the concern, the manager was rude, dismissive, and blamed me. I accept responsibility for managing my allergy. That does not mean a restaurant has zero responsibility once an allergy has been communicated. If your establishment has an allergy procedure, your staff needs to explain it, implement it, and actually follow it. You cannot blame customers for failing to understand an internal color-coded system that nobody explained to them. And you certainly cannot use that system as an excuse when the allergy was previously mishandled even when that system was followed. After two separate incidents and today's response from management, if you have a serious food allergy, I cannot recommend eating here.
