A local favorite that my husband and I frequent often. Aside from their delicious coffee options, they also have amazing chai as well. They have a selection of milk alternatives for those who cannot have dairy (almond, oat milk, etc). We typically order the chai with oat milk. Pretty darn good beverage! Stopped here to do some work while waiting for our car to be serviced nearby. Service was great as we were greeted upon entering and the staff who took our order was very helpful and patient as we decided on our order. Drinks were delicious, and I was pleasantly surprised by the drip coffee. The cafe was quiet and seating was ample and it was nice to get work done. Looks like they have regulars who go to sit and work or read. read more

I am on a quest to try alllllll the coffee shops! This one is pretty close to my house and I saw the good reviews so I stopped in today. The location is in a strip mall behind the big hotel by the Folsom Outlets. It's hard to find if you don't know the area. It is by the Enterprise Rental Car and the Army Recruiting Center. There was a lot of parking at 9am but it might be harder to find parking later in the day. Private lot. They roast their own coffee here. The place is very large with a big table in the middle, two bar areas and a couple of smaller tables. The atmosphere is very cold and sterile. High ceilings and lots of hard surfaces. There was a big group of Army recruiting guys at the main table and their voices were overly loud in that big space. Probably not the spot for a romantic rendezvous. I tried the mocha. It's made with a ganache they develop from Cru Chocolate. YUM. YUM. The drink was creamy and beautiful. Not sweet - but actually tasted like chocolate! A mocha was $5.00. I also tried the toast with butter and preserves for $4.00. The toast was okay - nothing fancy. The person who took my order and made the coffee was very friendly and nice. I always try to talk to the people when I try a new coffee shop. The other person working was not friendly, even when I tried to talk to him he walked away. Made me feel like I was bothering him??? Not sure what's up. Maybe just a bad day. I was going to inquire about taking some photos in there... but nah. This place was good, not amazing. The atmosphere and the people matter to me as much as the coffee - but that's just me. If you're going just for coffee to go - it's good coffee!! read more

Excellent cold brew got the Nitro. Will try the standard cold brew next visit. Tasty snacks(the cheese danish is ). Kid and family friendly. Expeditious service from the baristas. Will be snagging the roasted beans to go and make some home cold brew asap. read more

I would give this a 0/5 if I could. I was really excited to try this place, as I love trying new coffee spots. Upon walking in, no one there greeted my partner and I. I asked what was popular loud enough for the male cashier to hear and he said nothing to me-- didn't even acknowledge me. My partner then asked him what was a popular food option. He explained the egg sandwich or the avocado toast. He ordered the avocado toast and I ordered an almond croissant. I asked for the croissant toasted and he looked at me funny, so I asked if they had a toaster. He said they did, but they usually microwave the croissants so I said "Sure, whatever's easiest" along with 2 vanilla lattes. As an avid coffee lover, it's pretty hard to mess up a vanilla latte. We paid almost $30 for those 4 things. We sat at the bar right in front of the coffee station and out came the lattes. I'm not sure if it was the milk, the beans were old, or failure to clean their machines, but the latte was sour and probably the worst latte I've ever had. It had an old grease taste to it. Then came the food. They came out with my partner's avocado toast before my almond croissant, which was surprising because the almond croissant only takes about 10 seconds to warm. They ended up forgetting about my croissant not once, but twice. We had to flag down the cashier and ask him about it, at which he replied "I'm sorry, give me 10 seconds", and he put someone else's order before mine as well as forgot about my croissant again. I noticed while we were waiting that he gave excellent service *with a smile* to the caucasian lady after me, and thanked them/told them to have a nice day upon leaving the shop. Bottom line, terrible customer service and terrible coffee for a steep price. I've never felt so unimportant/invisible at a place where I spent so much money. Unfortunately, we ended up throwing our coffee away and just eating the breakfast. Never coming back here. read more

i absolutely love kingdom coffee roasters! not only is their coffee good but their specialty & seasonal drink menu items always knock it out of the park. the bourbon aged maple latte -- HOLD THE PHONE. it is SO dang good. miso caramel? yes you read that right.. the perfect mix of umami and sweet. not to mention the staff are so rad and the inside is always clean. the perfect environment to study or grab a book and cozy up! highly recommend read more

Super delicious coffee and affordable staff was very welcoming would definitely go again. I had a lavender latte super delicious my boyfriend also had a cinnamon honey latte that was also very good totally wanna try everything on the menu we also had the Luxe salmon toast healthy serving of salmon and Cream cheese I'm just not a fan of that in the first place so it didn't really wow me. read more

First time stopped by here. Someone I've met at my church (Jesus culture Folsom) told me about this place. So we went for the first time with my husband and son. We loved the minimalist look when we came in and how clean it was! Two owners are the one that serves us are exceptionally professional and friendly and know what they are doing! And I found out that one of the guys wife also go to my church! Nice! My hubby and I ordered lattes. Omg! The best latte I've ever tried and I we have tried a lot of them! Ordered decaf with oat milk! Wow! Blew me away how good it tasted and creamy, foamy just the way I like it! First time trying it with oat milk and that's it I'm loving it!!! Will be regulars on Sunday before church see you on Sunday morning at 8 :) Totally recommend his place to everyone! Also kid friendly which is awesome!!! read more

Best coffee in town. Came here to have some coffee before work and order the pearl latte. It was creamy with a roasted taste. The barista created a leaf in my foam and it stay in its form until I finish my cup of coffee. Soooo delicious! Will definitely go back to this coffee house soon. read more

It really doesn't get any better than Kingdom. I got a mocha and the layers of flavors coming through were just incredible. A little bit of outdoor seating. Bathrooms are open unlike many coffee houses so if you're traveling though, good stop to and from Tahoe! Indoor aroma is heavenly. read more

I really enjoy their pour overs. The price is incredibly reasonable especially for house roasted beans. The shop is beautifully decorated and has a ton of parking. The staff is friendly and seems to have personal/professional relationships with regular members of the community. This has been my go to while living in Folsom. read more

I am so happy to know there is finally a coffee roasters out in Folsom! I always stop here when going to the Folsom Outlets as it's in the perfect location to do so. This place is so awesome and the coffee is definitely going to be a major competitor in the Sacramento coffee community. These guys know how to make delicious coffee and every time I go in, they are nothing but so happy to serve and get to know you. I love the big metallic gold crown on the black wall and also, the clear glass coffee cups when you dine in with their coffee. I recently just went back to try the Ricotta and Jam on Sourdough Toast and what a perfect and delightful snack while sipping on their winter spice latte. Temple Coffee better watch out with Kingdom Coffee Roasters. read more

When I walked in I was welcomed warmly by both the owners. These guys were more than helpful when I started to ask about their selection. I ended up with a delicious mocha that I couldn't have been happier with. I then proceeded to sit down to work on emails and take in the atmosphere. I heard about Kingdom Coffee Roasters about a week or so from the local Folsom chat Facebook page. We love coffee shops, especially as office workers. But love to try new breakfast and brunch type places on the weekends when we're off. Simple menu, but we love it. My husband prefers regular coffee as a diabetic and I am about 50/50 between lattes and regular coffee. First glance it looks kinda like a smaller version of Temple Coffee in downtown Sacramento color scheme wise, but different theme. I mentioned we love lower fanfare and a calmer atmosphere on the weekend, to the owner (I believe). I mentioned that Coffee Republic is too crazy and long wait for us. I wish kingdom much success, but Coffee Republic turned me off with the long wait and overly busy atmosphere...which is why we love Kingdom. Excellent customer service as well. I forgot to upgrade to almond milk and I was given the upgrade with a smile. Additionally, the pastries were fresh and the prices are reasonable. We particularly loved the ham and cheese croissant, oatmeal cookie, and the chocolate croissant. We will be back Kingdom. read more

I found this little gem of a coffee shop while scouting for coffee shops in Folsom. The drip coffee is fantastic, and it is so nice to see a coffee house that can pull a proper shot of espresso. The drinks are well balanced and inventive. The staff are welcoming and generous and take the time to make sure your coffee experience is a good one. They have the most wonderful egg sandwiches made with brioche, and there lox and cream cheese is something you would find in a gourmet restaurant. If your in Folsom by the outlets stop in and say hello, you wont be disappointed. read more

This new place in town is definitely a thumbs up and a must see. Right when you enter you can see a gold plastered logo on the back wall which is right next to the roaster. Having the roaster in the shop is kind of neat because it allows the average coffee drinker to inquire more about the process and learn how the coffee beans are roasted. Sometimes you get to see it in action. This is a huge plus because on Groupon a person would have to purchase a tour of some kind to learn more about the coffee making experience. So, if luck is on your side, you might get to see the roaster in action. The workers are very knowledgable about coffee. I had myself a latte and it was worth every penny. Normally I go to Petes, Tupelo, or Temple for my coffee, but the quality of this coffee is on a different level in its entirety. Pricing is comparable to everywhere else, but as I said, the quality here is of the highest caliber. Parking is plentiful as shared between multiple restaurants in the shopping center. Plenty of seating on the inside and the place is ADA compliant for people with disabilities. 5 stars hands down. read more

Great coffee spot in the area. I usually get a latte and a croissant as my first items to try at any coffee shop. This way I can test their espresso and milk blend. Second, they must have great sweet bites and a croissant is a must. Latte tasted great. The overall microfoam was lacking as compared to another favorite coffee shop of mine that nails it consistently in Sacramento downtown. The croissant was excellent. Buttery, crispy and soft but most importantly tasty. Decor and atmosphere was also excellent and on par with top coffee spots in Sac and CA. I will be trying their espresso and pour over next and I am sure it will be great. Highly recommend to stop by if you're in the area and need coffee or to just enjoy the cool industrial decor. Please skip Starbucks and get a proper cup of coffee instead. read more

Love discovering new places through my Yelp app! Yelp never steers me wrong! I was greeted by the owners who were super friendly and helped me decide on my coffee selection. Starting out in a garage in 2016 roasting beans for other cafes and catering events, our dream of opening a retail space of our own came true in June of 2017. We welcome everyone happily and look forward to bringing them in on what we love to do, serve.

Meet the Business Owner: Ty M.

Co-owned by longtime friends Ty and Will. Opening a cafe was a long standing dream that brought these two friends together to combine their efforts into a place that is focussed on bringing out the best in everything and everyone. Ty is a self-taught roaster who start3ed his journey in coffee in 2015 with a small roaster in a garage. Will joined him after years of experience working in specialty coffee starting back in 2010 in a small Oklahoma cafe and traveling all across the country including time in NYC and LA.

They have an assortment of pastries and desserts which was a nice addition. Loved the café's indoor and outdoor vibe. Consistency is key and we've been going here ever since they opened and customer service and quality of drinks has remained the same if not better. We've brought visiting friends and family here and everybody loved it.

My husband and I shared a decadent chocolate and pistachio treat. And he really enjoyed his drink. This place is perfect for a date, where you can talk with enough privacy, without being interrupted by waiters during a meaningful conversation, with the elegance that feels like you have been transported to another region of the world. After nearly twenty two years of marriage, making it a habit to sit and relax at places like this are what help keep our marriage moving in the right direction. I was really impressed by how spacious and beautiful the interior is... definitely not what I expected based on the exterior of the building. There is plenty of seating, in various configurations, throughout - small tables, bigger tables, comfy bench seats, lounge chairs, and the like. There was only one girl working during my visit and she was kind, helping me with questions about their menu items. I did not have anything to eat, but they did have an assortment of baked goods to choose from. The coffee I tried was okay... I went for something new to me, but I probably wouldn't order it again. If I'm in the area again I'll make sure to pay this place another visit!

The eggs tasted like they may have come from a carton. The staff was nice, but the service model was confusing. When I'm prompted to tip at checkout and there are tables and seating, I assume some level of table service. Instead, we picked up our own coffee, food, silverware, and napkins, and at the end, we also got the honor of bussing our own plates back to the counter. Full-circle dining experience. Bonus details: - They had one single packet of hot sauce left in the entire place - The salt shaker was completely solidified (we did ask for more, but the replacement had exactly one functioning hole) * And just to keep you on your toes, the front door pushes instead of pulls. A small thing, but somehow on-brand. Bottom line: Come here if you want a custom coffee. If you're hungry, manage expectations... or honestly, stick with good old Starbucks for consistency, fewer surprises, and doors that behave.

I noticed a lot of my favorite flavors and toppings on the menu: Earl Grey, Watermelon, Coconut, Pandan, Blueberry, Banana Pudding, Mango, Guava. Apparently, they use "ceremonial grade" matcha. I overheard a customer raving about it and how it was comparable to what he had in Japan. My new favorite tea might be the Double Hoijicha Latte! Based on the color, I was worried it would be bitter but the Hoijacha Latte was the perfectly balanced drink - it had a smooth and creamy mouthfeel, strong tea flavor, and "not too sweet"! They also had Blueberry Hoijacha?! Gotta try that next! I'm also curious about their House Coffee. The server said it's a "Vietnamese" coffee which is sweetened with condensed milk. If they made smaller, more concentrated batches or prepared each drink fresh to order, it would completely elevate the experience and likely increase repeat customers. I hate comparing shops, but there is a reason people go back to places such as Off Beat Coffee. They make drinks to order, and you can truly taste the difference. I really hope this spot leans into proper matcha preparation because they're so close to being amazing.

I had asked for the bacon to be removed, but unfortunately it was still included, and there was a lot of it in the bowl. I spent most of the meal picking it out, which definitely took away from the experience a bit, but the dish itself was still delicious. I also noticed the presentation was different from what I expected. My graham vanilla bourbon latte was missing the cookie, and the drink came in a plastic cup instead of the tall glass I'd had on previous visits. My food also came in a little to-go carton instead of plated presentation. Has the place moved away from using plates and glassware? If so, what a pity, presentation really does make a difference, especially for such a cute café atmosphere. One thing I found interesting is that despite being only a few feet away from Karen's Bakery, Sociology still had a steady line of people waiting for coffee and food, which says a lot about how popular it is. That drink gave me the perfect boost before heading up the hill to my partner's house in Cameron Park, and the baklava roll was the little sweet knockout punch I didn't know I needed. But you overall pay a premium for the nice decor. I feel that some other places such as Julian's in Folsom and CT In Cameron Park were much better taste wise and if not for just the decor and ambiance I'd totally avoid this place.

If you want the best coffee beans in Sacramento this is where you'll find it! I brew my own coffee at home and Kingdom has the best beans!! The coffee tastes very dimensional, rich and well flavored (I tend to gravitate towards nutty and chocolate flavor notes). I also love going to the cafe where I have had the cortado, latte, and regular drip coffee all in which are delicious!! I love the spacious cafe and appreciate the artwork on the walls. My son loves the chocolate chip cookies and my favorite would be the croissants! Thanks for being consistent. One of my biggest pet peeves is paying for a $5 cup of gross coffee and at Kingdom Coffee you will not get that!! I always look forward to my next cup! read more

I stopped by this adorable coffee shop and was so impressed! I ordered a honey cinnamon latte and an avocado toast with smoked salmon--both were absolutely delicious. The latte had the perfect balance of sweetness and spice, and the avocado toast was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. Everything came out in a timely manner, and the service was just as great as the food. The baristas were so sweet and welcoming, making the whole experience even better. On top of that, the shop itself is super cute and cozy--definitely a place I'll be coming back to! Highly recommend! read more

I walked in and the dark bearded just for men spokesmen employee/owner was rude once AGAIN! Almost 6.00 bucks for a small iced latte no biggie im not cheap. But I could basically buy a pound of espresso for that and have a grand time! I told him ice on the side and top me off with oat milk. He said no we use expensive milk and we would be losing too much ! Any way you dice it up OATMILK is one of the Least expensive non dairy products out there.
