My co-worker introduced me to this place mentioning it today. I stopped in for lunch, in the mood for a comforting soup (yes, in 80 degree weather) and I was NOT disappointed with Kitchen Door's Ramen. I ordered the Chicken Ramen which comes Spicy or not (I chose spicy), with beansprouts and egg. The noodles were perfectly done, and the broth was so flavorful with just the right amount of spice. The only reason for my knocking one star off is because the chicken wasn't great to me. It tasted like...old? Perhaps chicken that is made in large batches and frozen until an order is placed which would change the texture - and not in a good way. Along with lunch I grabbed a Cinnamon Ginger Iced Tea - FANTASTIC...Honestly, I would pop in every day just for one of these this summer. With huge chunks of ginger and a whole cinnamon stick, what this tea does not lack in flavor it does in artificial ingredients and at $2.99 it's a steal. As I paid for my order, the woman behind the counter asked if it were my first time and when I said yes, she gave me a little marshmallow pie *tear* - very nice touch/gesture. All in all a solid lunch spot, and I look forward to trying the variety of goodies they have. read more

I've legit just found my favorite place on Long Island. The food is very good, the choices are endless!! The staff is very nice and ITS CLEAN! I paid for my lunch and ate in my work truck outside. The traffic in and out was HEAVY from 11:45am to 12:15! I'm coming back ASAP. It's perfect for everyone. Sushi, hot tables, cold tables, sandwiches/wraps, soups, smoothies, RAMEN, etc... The bibimbap and soondobu are really delicious here! I'd keep coming back here again just for these two dishes alone! Few other items we had here are good too. I have been to this place a few times - for lunch and breakfast. Note: I have not tried the Korean items. The items I have tried including items from their buffet (admit a good selection) as well as their fired flounder sandwich. They do have an extensive sandwich menu to select from. Buffet items were just ok. Perhaps 1-2 chairs in this place to sit and eat - basically it's place to grab your lunch and leave. Price is reasonable. read more

What a great find! Had it not been for Yelp, I never would have found this place. It's quaint but packs a ton of variety into this small space. You can find all your typical deli items in this place such as sandwiches along with a large selection of Korean/Asian food such as Bibimbap, Spring Rolls, Ramen/Udon noodles, and much much more! They have a large salad bar as well as a hot food station that you can pick and weigh. The staff is always friendly ready to take your order and assist in any way. It's the only place in the area (that I know of) that serves this kind of food. It's not the best Asian food I've ever had but it's definitely solid. Went to this deli numerous times in the past and loved their spicy beef/pork bibimbap, had great/friendly staff and would receive my food within 10 minutes or less. But yesterday I ordered a spicy pork bibimbap for my boyfriend, which they didn't have, but I had no problem with that and ordered the spicy beef instead. When I ordered the food the place wasn't busy at the time, but it took more than 30 minutes to get my food, and those who ordered after me had gotten their food within 10 minutes. Another issue was that when I received the food, it was already room temperature and my boyfriend told me that the rice it came with had a weird soggy consistency and tasted weird. Overall the deli is still nice and probably had a rough day, but I won't be coming back to this place for a while. read more

I love Kitchen Door!!!! I was going to deduct a star for their super early hours but I decided against it. They are in quite an industrial, office area so I imagine they don't get much business after the lunch rush from 1-3. But I WISH I lived closer or they'd be open later cos I'd be in there every day. Plus everyone who works there always has a smile on and are just so friendly, efficient and accommodating. They seem to genuinely care about you enjoying your meal. There isn't a lot of options for Korean food around Farmingdale, though that is slowly changing, this place offers Korean staple dishes like different types of ramen (you can add additional toppings), bulgogi, soondubu (one of my faves), japchae, deopbap, bibimbap, but ALSO Korean flavor inspired BURRITOS! In addition, they have a big buffet area with salads and a big array of toppings, roast chicken, rice, pasta, etc. And REALLY yummy sandwiches. I got a chicken cutlet, bacon, cheddar cheese, onion rings and brown gravy on a roll (#3 with alterations) and I don't think it was more than 7$. Half the roll was very filling! My sister and I said to each other as we walked out "so this is gonna be our regular place now until forever" I love Korean food and am very happy Kitchen Door is here :) read more

The store is small but it's really worth finding. There is a rather large buffet that has both hot and cold. I was impressed by the quality of the food. I was there after the lunch rush and the food looked and tasted fresh. The people here were friendly and helpful as well. If you're in the Melville area looking for lunch - stop here. Not only is this place a gem in the area, authentic to Korean cuisine and brings me back to my flushing childhood memories but the variety of options is endless. Since my last review this place has an extensive salad bar and not just a regular salad bar, roasted Brussel sprouts , every vegetable, kimchi, bulgogi wraps, kimbop, every topping and dressing one can think of. In addition I recently tried their deli sandwiches and you literally can't go wrong with anything you pick especially anything with a good cutlet. Great spot located around the block from my office. Hidden GEM in the industrial park. They are owned and operated by a Korean family that specializes in some korean specialties as well as deli. I have had the bim bim bap and ramen several times and its always delicious. Fruit salad bar is great and always fresh. Incredible salad bar to make your own salad. Unless you know about this place you will have a hard time finding it. The signs outside kind of makes it look like a gentleman's club. Once you get past the store front, it's a small deli. No seating. Salad bar has the usual offerings. But also has some really good asian treats. Vietnamese Spring Rolls are a must. The hot food is pretty good and portions are huge. I go for the ramen. So I work literally like a block away and I've finally stumbled upon this place and i am OBSESSED! I've so far only tried the salad bar (WHICH IS HUGE) and the sushi rolls in from it along with the fruit bar. And I've found myself here everyday. I've yet to try the hot food or the ramen but the hot food buffet looks actually very good, which I'll find a day to try out, but for now, I am so happy I finally found an AMAZING salad place ever since Supreme Blends in East Islip shut down. read more

I stumbled upon this place on Yelp one day when I was in the area, and I could not be more happy with my discovery. I am not from the nearby neighborhood, but whenever I'm near Farmingdale I make a lunch pit-stop. I am obsessed with their salad bar. They offer a great selection of toppings and dressings, as well as other hot/cold buffet options. They also seem to offer a large variety of lunch items, from your typical deli food to Asian options including sushi, ramen, fried rice, etc. The counter staff are always friendly and helpful. What a hidden gem. Drove by this -it's near my office- a few weeks ago and stopped in today. Strictly a takeout place. Salad bar upfront with some Korean bites, the usual hot and cold sandwiches and in the back a limited menu of Korean stews, ramen, casseroles, and burritos. I had a soondung (soft tofu stew) with mandoo (fried dumpling). It came with rice and kimchee. When I arrived at my office it was still bubbling hot and splling from an overfilled quart container. Me and my friend wanted to try some place new so we decided to give Kitchen Door a try. At first glance we didn't know what to expect since the storefront has this model on it as if it was some sort of adult shop. Parking was in the back, and it was full which can mean two things - either the food was good or it really was an adult shop! I ordered the spicy bibim bap and my friend ordered a chicken sandwich. The food was very good, and my friend thought so as well. The three cashiers were very busy with customers and were very pleasant (and very pretty! no need for the model on the signage). There are so many choices and places to eat in the Route 110 corridor - this is my colleagues new "go to" place to order breakfast and lunch. Anything with noodles and broth - excellent. I had the Ramen noodle with pork and it was outstanding. Some chili flake, chili oil and plenty of pork and noodles that sopped up the delicious broth - perfect. My colleagues had Bibimbap and various rice bowls... very generous portions and everyone raved. Looking at the menu, their breakfast sandwiches have to be the cheapest in the area. i would describe the Kitchen Door as a deli on anabolic steroids. the hot food is on-point and the cold salad bar is way more than adequate. The line-up of food is never ending and such wide variety. the quality of food and convenience make it a shame too not have more significant seating. the staff is helpful with the menu and also friendly. i had all intentions on getting bim-bim bop but didn't make it far enough with out setting my eyes on the never ending salad bar with some sushi at the end and some tasty hot food that included tilapia and chicken fajita. if you work close by and need a quick lunch or even if you live far away it could still be worth the trip. i was able to sneak a few carbs in with salad and fish so that is always cool. plenty of parking. they should buy the flower place next door or put some tables outside. on a "slow" july 4th week day they had a nice sized crowd by 12pm. read more
