I've been missing out. Nestled in the corner of this Bagel Boss and Staples shopping center lies this fantastic and delicious Chinese restaurant named "Leung How"? Yes "how long" has it been since I've been going to Bagel Boss 37 feet away and Staples just beyond but never ventured into " Leung How". Love the owner Susan and her energy. Great welcome and loved her handling and prepping all the take out orders and the phone ones as well. I ordered the Egg Drop soup which was light and tasty and the fried tofu in garlic sauce with veggies n extra sauce. The veggies - fresh and so good; quality too as in really good mushrooms and excellent broccoli. The noodles were crisp. This sauce was better than any I have had in Bethpage or Albertson. It is always cool to hear what everyone else gets. I heard Egg Foo Young; spicy chicken and pork friend rice. Hey got to explore and expand my taste buds beyond my groundhog monotone boring same thing again self. This is a simple, unassuming no frills place which just churns out awesome food. I stopped into Leung How Chinese Kitchen as it was convenient and I was in the area going to Staples. I Ordered a steamed chicken large container. Over18.00and I was asked if I wanted white rice or brown . I said brown. Seems I was charged 1.00 more for this. I asked for and got a container of of sauce on the side. A group of us ordered a bunch of lunch specials from Leung How Chinese Kitchen, and we all thought that everything was really delicious. The portions were tremendous, and I think I've found my new go-to Chinese place. We ordered a Chicken with Broccoli, Sesame Chicken, Chicken with Cashew Nuts, and Chicken with Black bean Sauce and split them between 4 of us. They came with a soup and fried rice. There was plenty of food and we all agreed that everything was really good. The food at Leung How is excellent. I love the Hunan Chicken. I have ordered this dish from many restaurants and I like this restaurant's version the best. Had a craving for Chinese food and wanted to try and support a different place than my usual go to. After a quick search on Yelp, this is where I found myself. My mom and I decided to share shrimp dumplings, pork dim sum and moo shu pork. Shrimp dumplings were yummy snd had a generous amount of shrimp. Pork dim sum was just okay. Not the best I've had, but definitely not the worst either. Moo shu pork was basic. Nothing different from what I've had elsewhere. Not a lot of pork either. Flavors were okay overall. The staff was friendly and my order was accurate. The only downside was that the food tasted very bland. i get take out here once a month or so. last visit dumplings in garlic were okay. boneless ribs tasted weird. the only word i can think of is old. i don't know if it was the sauce or the meat. but something was off. some pieces tough some tender some very fatty. would not order them again. read more

I've been going to Leung for quite some time and it's always good sometimes very good but lately it's been great. I've read reviews where restaurants start off good and then go downhill. This place is just the opposite. Mike plea to the owners are please continue to do what you are doing. Your food has never been better and It is greatly appreciated. The shrimp with lobster sauce was delicious! plump and fresh. Fried rice was cooked perfectly. The ribs were meaty and delicious. The general tsao chicken was outstanding. Leung How kitchen is the best take-out Chinese restaurant in the Hicksville-Plainview area. All their food is delicious. In found this very good restaurant after suffering thru more then a few terrible experiences at another local restaurant called The Orient. The take away food at the Orient wasn't the primary reason I moved on to a much better restaurant...it was their rude and condescending staff especially the front desk staff but this review is not about the Orient. I highly recommend The Leung How Chinese Kitchen and take that from someone who was a frequent eater in the best restaurants on Mott Street in NYC's Chinatown. Why I grab soup here to go... Still use Bok Choy in their light flavorful wonton soup. So does China View across the street.. ( the rest of Long Island seems to mostly add scallions instead).. Also in Wantagh an old fav has it but wasn't as fresh so not recommending. Here it's plain but good and always fresh. Steamed dumplings should be similarly good but not great. read more

This spot is consistent with how good their food is. I recommend getting their spring rolls and the Singapore Mei fun. It is one of my favorite Chinese dishes. They make an amazing chicken and broccoli as well. The fried wontons in garlic sauce are also very good. I recommend trying this restaurant. read more

Where are you people eating this "Chinese" food? Ordered the spare rib combo with an extra egg roll. Ribs were decent but the rice was tasteless & didn't need the extra egg roll. Rice has more onions than pork with zero vegetables. Egg roll tasted like a an egg roll withing a thick fried noodle. Never again. read more

This place was great! We have been searching for Chinese food in the plainview area for many years and are always disappointed. Found this place on Seamless and thought we'd give it a try. We ordered wonton soup, steamed dumplings, scallion pancakes, and general tsos with broccoli. My wife grew up in queens and is very picky on wanting traditional Chinese food and this place was definitely it. The food was all great and the delivery came early. I would be very wary of this restaurant. I just had an allergic reaction that I've gotten when eating Chinese food with MSG, a sinus pressure headache. When I called previously, they said they do not use MSG. After having the reaction this evening, I called to ask about the sauce, and now she said they can't say yes or no. If a restaurant can't tell you their ingredients, something is wrong. She said they order sauce in big bottles from large companies, and was making excuses that she couldn't find out the ingredients. If they're not using their own ingredients to make sauce, and don't check the ingredients of the sauce from wherever they get it, this is irresponsible and really disrespectful to customers. read more

Do not eat in here (do they even own real plates?). Do not expect anything different than you would get at any other 'fast food' Chinese joint with the really dated pictures above the register. All those negative vibes out of the way...they do the fast food Chinese favs very well and the place is pretty clean. Great locale for a wonton soup and a dinner combo special. You can head out of there with plenty of eats and a Snapple for $10. Win. What do they do instead they take the wrong order add in clumps of new ingredients not mixed well and hand it back to me. I did not realize of course until I was home again. Ordered take out today, sweet & pungent chicken with pork fried rice combo. It was disgusting .the chicken was so hard and tasted like it was re-fried several times. A few weeks ago I ordered a wonton soup and asked for bok Choy in it. What they put in my soup was barely green, I had never seen bok choy like that. Skip this place. read more
