My husband and I are going to completely remodel our kitchen and bath. We were greeted by Hailey at Kitchen Mart. We had some items in mind for the remodel and she answered all our questions. We all then went over to view granite selections. When we gave her our dimensions for kitchen and bath - it became obvious we were from Placerville (35ish miles away). After checking, Hailey told us we were out of their service area. We were extremely disappointed, as their showroom displayed many of the elements we were looking for. This is when something very cool happened - Hailey didn't try to rush us out of the showroom, just the opposite. She continued answering questions and helping us plan our remodel. If this is how Kitchen Mart treats people they aren't going to make a dime off of - imagine how great they will be if you contract with them! read more

Loved the results of our mini-kitchen remodel. Each specialist was professional and did a great job. Dan was the painter of our cabinets and kitchen wall area. He was a perfectionist and the outcome was perfect. He was a pleasure to work with. We love the way they turned out. The roll out drawers are a nice touch. They glide to a gentle close and make it so easy to get to the items in the back of each drawer. There were a few hiccups along the way but overall we love the way our kitchen looks now and are glad we made the choice to go with Kitchen Mart. We are planning to do a bath remodel next. read more

I first want to say that from the beginning to almost the end Kitchen Mart was absolutely wonderful. I love my "new" kitchen (I had mine re-faced). Love my the look of my cabinets & countertop. They removed my very old double oven and made it a great pantry. Step 1....WONDERFUL - this is demo day to cabinets (5 stars). Step 2...WONDERFUL - this is the countertop - I LOVE IT! you can't even see the seams - LOVE! (5 stars). Step 3...WONDERFUL!! - installation of the range, range hood and sink connection - this employee was outstanding!! (5+ stars). Now were at the end....Please note the employees as people were super nice and professional - seriously, really nice guys. Step 4....soso...my cabinet knobs & drawer pulls needed to be put on (see pics), my trash pull out was installed and my pantry shelves also needed to be installed....well, they didn't fit and when he tried to force them :) the shelves were damaged - - no worries, he'll go back and cut new ones and come back the next day.........(2 stars). Days later my project manager emails me and asked if I received the quote for the trash pull out and was everything good. I replied with...well, my pantry doesn't have shelves and the trash pull out doesn't stay closed and my dog got into the trash...yay. He seemed surprised about the shelves and would send someone out to install them and fix the trash pull out. Step 5....soso.....this last step, again the guy was super nice, but....(2 stars). I really felt these last 2 steps it was just a job, no pride and so, I give 3 stars. The beginning...awesome, Carla, Mike, Don, Ray, Counter guy...sorry, I can't remember his name...all AWESOME. I am now giving kitchen mart 1 star and I wish I could give less. A couple days after my husband and I posted our reviews on yelp, my husband gets a message from someone at kitchen mart that tells us we still need final inspection and approval from the city of Sacramento for our plumbing and electrical (which they touched but they were told from day one not to because our own electrician had done the work and we had to call him back to undo the horrible electrical work KM did, and before KM touched it, it had been already given approval.) So thanks for that KM. 45 days after we wrote them their last check and they told us everything was done this is the bull we still have to deal with. They never said anything about anymore inspections. If my plumbing get we are taking them to court for everything we paid. End of story. My husband asked the guy why after 45 days, after you guys take our 40k, that now we have to still deal with their incompetence. He said he didn't know why and it was just his job to get these things set up. He also started to get an attitude on the phone with my husband when this is totally their bad and they are putting us through more stress and inconvenience. Horribly unorganized, unprofessional company. I wish I would have paid more at a better establishment than trust KM with my money. read more

We were impressed by KitchenMart from consultation with Gary to the end of the project. Tim, project coordinator, provided us with a calendar of events so that we were never left wondering what was happening next. Communication was top notch. Each person called us prior to coming over to work. Everyone from demo by Russell, Plumbing by Ray, Ed - template, Travis countertop install and Tim with plumbing/electrical hookups were fantastic. After careful consideration of several kitchen and bath remodel companies I selected Kitchen Mart, big mistake. When they arrived to install new cabinet doors and drawer fronts I discovered they made the wrong color. They had to start over which delayed the project almost another month. Less than three months later one of the false front drawer covers in the kitchen fell off. When they came out to repair the drawer cover they found that the installers used screws that were to short. While they were here they checked the other false drawer covers and one in the master bathroom came off as well, the installers had used staples. In my opinion quality remodeling companies don't use staples. Makes me wonder where else did they cut corners? I can not recommend Kitchen Mart. read more

Kitchen Mart did the countertops, sink, and backsplash for our kitchen. We decided to go with them because of their good reputation and also, they have been in business for a long time. The did a wonderful job. My only complaint and perhaps a suggestion for improvement is that the backsplash had some crack tiles, which they fixed. We did a full kitchen and laundry remodel in the midst of Covid. Though we had to wait months until the start date (in part due to us making changes), it was worth it. Different professionals with different expertise contributed to the end product. Everyone was skilled, hardworking, accountable, tidy (they all cleaned up after themselves at the end of each day), and pleasant if not fun to interact with. We went outside of KitchenMart for our countertop quartz; they were accommodating and facilitated the delivery. We also ordered the cabinet hardware elsewhere which was not a problem. They finished most of the work in 2 weeks and would have been completely done if not for a couple of incorrect cabinet face designs being sent and needing replacement. We are delighted with the final result and highly recommend Kitchen Mart! read more

The star is for customer service, otherwise I would have given none. After researching for years I decided to have my kitchen/bath cabinets refaced. Today is July 10th, my kitchen refacing began June 16th..my kitchen is still not completely done. I do not have the energy to write the novel describing the mistakes and poor workmanship, and trust me you do not have the time to read it. The main issue was the one man crew sent to do my kitchen. Polite at first, but began complaining about lack of sleep and how it would affect the job he was doing on my kitchen. The employee apparently could not handle the size of the job and took it out on me. He was rude, and dismissive and his dislike for me was reflected in his work. I called the project manager and told him this employee was not allowed back in our home. KitchenMart project and shop managers came and inspected the work that was done by the employee and a lot of it had to be redone. Pieces peeling away from cabinets days after install, damaged doors and doors installed incorrectly. My microwave was not put back properly..it was screwed into a shelf with ONE screw..now my shelf is giving way. This has been a nightmare, trust me there is a small sampling. They admitted it was the worst work ever and apologized profusely. That being said..they have received about 95% of the money and the job is not done...not sure what I expected but this is not it. KitchenMart has tried to expedite the repairs..but to fit us in work is often done on Saturdays. I am over this process and honestly would not recommend this to anyone. The cabinets look fair..but you are not getting anywhere near what you pay for them. I wish I had not done it..so if you want cabinets refaced really think about it and hope they send someone experienced. read more

This Fall wehad Kitchen Mart come in and remodel our kitchen, laundry room and a bathroom that is attached to the laundry room. The designer, Carla, was absolutely fabulous and understood everything that we wanted and had excellent suggestions. The project manager, Andy, was also excellent and very responsive. Sulu, who managed the team that came to our house every day, went above and beyond for us. He is an excellent example of someone who is dedicated, hard-working and wonderful to work with! We planned our remodel in March, 2021and it was scheduled to start September 20, 2021 and it was basically completed by October 6, 2021. Sulu and his team members were always on time, friendly, hard-working and always left the rooms immaculate. We were actually amazed that they could finish all the remodeling with all the appliances and new cabinets, sinks, etc. in about 13 days. The next week we had another company, also recommended by Kitchen Mart, The Floor Company, install our new luxury vinyl flooring, Our kitchen looks fabulous and we are so pleased! Kitchen Mart did an excellent job of replacing our countertops, backsplash, kitchen sinks and hardware. They were very professional and provided assistance in all stages of the project. After checking all of their product lines, we chose a Cambria Quartz countertop and have been very happy with the choice. When we noted that one of the edges had not been completely finished, the owner came by to check the product. He determined that additional finish work was required and correction was completed immediately. We told them that the project needed to be completed in time for a family party on Easter and it wound up being completed a day earlier than promised. The party was a great success! read more

When I asked if we could look around, one wanted to know if we're had an appointment, when I said no.... both tut tutted about needing an appointment. We had our kitchen cabinets resurfaced and a new counter-top put in by Kitchen Mart about 1-1/2 yrs ago. They promised to be done in 5 days, it took 5-1/2 (no biggie). The workers (all employees of KM) were very nice and only once came later than they said they would (something about making a parts run). The kitchen turned out beautifully and their work is high-quality. Surprisingly, they were the cheapest of three quotes we received - one was 2x KM's price! The only negative I have is that a few months after the install I noticed some of the new doors were a little loose - upon inspection I found missing a few of the screws on the hinges (never installed). Instead of calling to have a tech come out I put them in myself, but in all fairness they would have fixed the problem if I asked. I would use KM again, and am actually considering having them tile my bathtub wall in the near future. read more

It has been about five years since Kitchen Mart remodeled our kitchen. There were several what I would call minor issues during the remodel that I chalked up to poor communication and not the best project manager (Jeff). These smaller issues included ordering the wrong sized cabinet for our bar area (luckily I was doing some of the work myself and a friend caught it on the plans so we were able to extend a wall to cover this); having multiple holes in the cabinet backs where the installers drilled the wrong location for plumbing (only figuring it out when they turned the cabinet towards the wall (this happened behind the bar and behind a kitchen cabinet); having the bar faucet installed backwards (see photo below). I could live with these because they were cosmetic but what I can't live with is that after five years having multiple issues with plumbing related to their installation. Late last year, I noticed that my kitchen faucet was loose. It's installed in the counter. I got under the sink to tighten it only to find extensive dry rot caused by a leak from the surface. Water from either the sprayer or the dishwasher vent penetrated through the holes in the counter, soaking the deck under the sink (See kitchen sink photos below). I was able to dry it out once I found the problem (there was no new leak) and put off the repair until yesterday. In addition to this leak the bar sink would also leak when it was filled with water. I figured it was the drain so I had a handyman come out yesterday. He discovered that in both cases instead of plumber's putty, the installer had used caulk. On top of that, when they installed the drain in the bar sink, they cross threaded the tightening ring and basically used caulk to get it to stay on. It lasted four and half years. . . Finally, for the kitchen faucet, the handyman had to span the gap in the rotted deck. In order to do so, he had to remove the garbage disposal (also installed by Kitchen Mart). He found that it was misaligned and, you guessed it, they used caulk in the connection. Kitchen Mart makes sure you know they do not use subcontractors. It is part of their selling point. What I found out is that they use poorly trained staff to perform the work that you don't see. For what we paid for this kitchen, there is no excuse for this. I have learned a lot in the five years since we overpaid them for the kitchen and I would much rather have a licensed general contractor who uses subcontractors to handle a project like this. So this is a fair warning. Check all the details of their projects or even better pay a construction inspector to do it before signing off on any of their work. read more

We had a superb experience with sales and with the implementation of our bathroom remodel. Gary helped us to select the items, design and colors according to our preference. Chris was superb in leading the crew, always communicating with us so we knew what was going on even when we were out of town, team members were adhering to COVID safety protocols and knew what they needed to do, very smooth and pleasant experience. THey should get six stars so it compensates for the not so good experience with the purchase department which gave the "we-are-out-of-your -bathtub-model-but can-give-you-a-similar-model-that-we-have-in-stock-so- that-we- can-stick-to-the-timeline" curveball. We had our kitchen cabinets refaced, counter tops installed, and some rework on the layout of the kitchen. The owner, David was nice enough to give me a tour of the facilities to see where everything was going to be built. There are couple of things that stand out to me about the process with them; transparency, timeliness and nice employees. They provided schedule after our project was scheduled on their books and they met all of the deadlines set. From my experience with other contractors this is a BIG DEAL. This wasn't the most expensive kitchen job, but it made my home look clean, fresh and modern. We are new to the area and have had contractors in and out of our home for the last 6 months and I have to say no one tops Kitchen Mart. They were able to complete a job that others said could not be done. The owner even came out to our home himself to assess the situation. They were on time, clean and considerate. They took extra steps to protect other parts of my kitchen as they grinded away at my granite countertop. Installed a fabulous Kohler sink and Artisan faucet. Home updating is expensive, but they work within your budget with quality product and service. They have a showroom which was important to me since I like to touch what I am going to install. We are totally happy with the kitchen remodel that Kitchen Mart just completed for us. Susan Parker was our knowledgeable designer and met with us at our home in early January, 2020, then we finalized selections for cabinet colors, countertops, etc., a week later. The pandemic delayed the start of our project by 2 weeks, but the crew started the demolition on May 11 and completed our new kitchen on June 2, 2020 - a total of 17 working days in our home! This included removal of the old kitchen and appliances; adding some new wiring, a circuit breaker, and sound-deadening insulation; replacing and texturing drywall; installing new cabinets and quartz countertops; and replacing all of the appliances, sink, and faucet. Justin Colasanti was our "responsible person" and did an amazing job not only of coordinating but performing all kinds of jobs from electrical to plumbing to drywall. I didn't get the names of all of the craftsmen who helped, such as the excellent tile and countertop workers, but wanted to call out Justin's key helper Daniel as well as Don, who made numerous adjustments to make our cabinet doors and drawers perfect. Andy Ritchey was our project manager and came out to our home twice in April to perform exact measurements while wearing his N95 mask during a somewhat nerve-racking time in the world. There were a couple of potential glitches that came up in the project, such as the cooktop hood being too low and 2 pullouts which weren't going to work where our refrigerator protruded from the wall, but Justin quickly got the hood cabinet re-made and had new drawers made which were a great substitute for the pullouts. These changes were made within that tight time frame and did not delay the project. By doing everything in their own shops, Kitchen Mart is clearly able to be quickly responsive to any changes needed. I would recommend Kitchen Mart without hesitation for a kitchen project that was within our budget and finished much more quickly than we had anticipated. read more

I visited the showroom first and the young lady that showed me around was very nice and helpful. Gary was sent out to talk about my kitchen remodel and I thought he was very pleasant and helpful. It took longer than I expected and I had another appointment so I asked him to finish up his estimate and email it. He was reluctant to do so but agreed (I had to leave!). I had to prod him several times to send the estimate for my review. It included new cabinets, new countertops with island/peninsula, new floors and other changes to the kitchen. The quote was one single dollar amount upwards of $67,000 for everything! No amount for each one! It would be incredibly irresponsible on my part not to get other quotes for that kind of money. I emailed Gary and told him to remove the flooring as well as some other changes and to give me subtotals because I was really interested in still using KM for parts of the project. It has been two and half weeks at least and he has not replied. Not even to say, 'I apologize but I am really busy right now and I will get it to you soon'. How unprofessional!!!! I am telling all my friends and one of them said they had a similar experience regarding quotes and did not use them. (I went to KM because other friends had good experiences but had only asked for one thing such as only countertops or only cabinet refacing.) read more
