I love KS! We live in Columbus and have hit both locations at Polaris and Dublin and this was our first experience in Montgomery visiting friends in the area both who had not yet tried KS. I LOVE consistent service and experiences and I was THRILLED to experience this outside of our hometown here in Montgomery. The food is amazing, the service even better, cocktails ROOOCCKKKED and we closed the place down. No rushing us to kick us out we even received texts the day before re: helpful tips on parking due to street closures and seeking confirmation for our reservation. HIGHLY appreciated. I really like this place as I've been there twice and will go again next week. Both times I got the Tuna Bowl - Sushi grade tuna, cilantro rice, edamame, broccolini, pickled onions/jalapenos and Thai chile glaze and the Butterscotch Budino - house-made pretzel crunch, salted caramel, mascarpone cream. Great time celebrating my birthday at the Kitchen Social in Montgomery. My friend made a reservation and glad she did because the restaurant filled up on an early Saturday dinner. Our waitress was great very attentive. We got drinks right away. One thing notice my friend got Prosecco and I got rose Prosecco. Her poor was twice as big as mine. We started with the guacamole and queso. We really enjoyed the red, roasted pepper queso, and my friend loved the cheddar biscuits. They were little too cornbread for me. I enjoyed the Schezwan chicken and had plenty leftover, another friend went with the Thai chicken pasta & another had the house salad with salmon. She also had a side of fingerling potatoes with kale. We all really enjoyed our meal and then surprise me with a cake and the staff lit candles on the cake. It was an indulgent treat we wouldn't have tried without his suggestion. My husband enjoyed the Thai chicken bowl (it had a nice spicy kick). I opted for the grilled chicken salad. The chicken was delicious, crispy and perfectly seasoned. The salad itself was a disappointment. The dressing was bland, (like straight mayonnaise to my tastebuds. My husband tried it and agreed). The manager was making rounds asking how everything was and I was honest about my impression of the dressing. He offered me another salad and I declined but he said, what if I don't take no for an answer with a friendly smile. He came back before we left with a different salad to try at home - the salmon salad with cilantro vinaigrette. The waiter returned with a small cup of the buttermilk ranch dressing and it tasted different than what was on my salad. Had I had that dressing, my salad would have been delicious. It's been a while since I was in a restaurant where they genuinely seem to care that you have a good experience and enjoy your food, so five stars to Kitchen Social. Caring goes a long way with me. Met some family here last week as we were passing through the area. We started with the Maple Bourbon Glazed pork. This was insane. The pork was tender, and the flavor hit the right notes. Very lively atmosphere, friendly staff, great food. It was pretty crowded on Friday night despite the cold. My friend and I started with the crab toast which was very good especially considering it's the Midwest (only a little spicy). I had the Salmon for my main course and everything about it was delicious. The butternut squash, spinach and farro were spot on and it was a nice size portion. To finish we got the brown butter cake and the chocolate cake. While both were good, we both preferred the chocolate cake. Came on Saturday during lunch and the place was pretty packed. No reservations needed. We were seated quickly and had our orders taken. I've ordered the Blackened Shrimp capellini, fish N chips, Shrimp N Grits, Cheddar + scallion biscuits. I've been impressed by each dish and felt like the portions, seasoning and sauces were on point. My favorite has been the blackened shrimp capellini and is the local's favorite. I love Kitchen Social....especially in the 614 area code area. This Montgomery location needs a little tweaking. The proof is in the cheddar + scallion honey biscuits. I went to this location and placed two orders of the biscuits to share with my co-workers and each order looked and tasted different from each other; a little less flavorful than what I usually get in central Ohio. I love the ambience of the restaurant and how you can see the food being prepared along the back wall. my husband ordered fish and chips, my friend got a salmon salad, we got biscuits for the table, and I got a salad with chicken and butternut squash (the exact name escapes me at the moment). Biscuits were fantastic, as always. My husband's fish and chips were absolutely amazing. I don't know how we will order anything else after trying it; it was that good. My friend didn't comment on her salad, so I'm not sure what she thought. Unfortunately, my salad left a lot to be desired. The vinaigrette was the best part and I would eat it on salads all the time if it came bottled. The blue cheese was a little bit strong, compared to the other flavors of the salad. And the chicken was pretty chewy and rubbery and didn't have great flavor. I'm one of the least picky eaters I know, but I ended up taking off all of the chicken and eating the salad without the protein. However, I have tried many other things on the menu at other times and have loved everything. The Gerber chicken dinner is truly amazing. I am excited to go back and try something new! The open scratch kitchen allowed us to watch the staff expertly and calmly prepare and present dishes for service to guests. The food came out quickly and at perfect temperature. We were in the area and had decided to go eat somewhere else but we got directions for the other place mixed up , so we made a decision. At the time of this review Kitchen Social has been open for about 2 months. The place itself was a modest but well laid out floor plan and the accessible parking was very nice. Being in Montgomery there is always a chance of having parking issues. Olivia took care of us and really the entire staff seemed to drop by to say hello and have a conversation. It was done very well and timed right with food delivery. I always hate it when an owner or manager comes out right as you are taking a bite and forces a conversation. This wasn't the case here. We had a legitimate conversation about Florida and the holiday season. The Social part of the name is definitely earned. The food was top notch with a very good price. Even with deserts and appetizers along with a few cocktails it was well under what I would have expected. I'll definitely be returning! I recommend reservations as it was very busy. read more

This is the 5th Kitchen social opened and the only one in Cincinnati. It still has new-restaurant buzz (ie crowds) in Montgomery so I'd recommend getting reservations or sitting at the bar. The inside is open and welcoming. If you can associate traffic flow with river flow, then you get a beautiful view of a stream of cars driving by on Montgomery road. It was much more mesmerizing than I had imagined. One little touch I like is that they intentionally have the local brewpub, MPH, beer on tap. Sort of a local vibe. The interior decor feels more corporate (professionally decorated where people use words like "aspire" and "elevated"). Nice but no feels. For dinner we started with Chips and Guac. The taste was great and we loved the pepitas in the Guacamole. The quantity of chips was laughable. Any local Mexican restaurant will give you infinite chips for free yet here you pay $10 you get a handful. I had the Harvest Salad with Salmon as my main and it was quite good. The roasted sweet potatoes in the salad were a unique and nice touch. My wife has the tuna bowl and it was great as well. We live within walking distance so will give it another try here in a few months to see how it settles in as it finds it's goove in the Village of Montgomery. read more

This new spot in Montgomery is so fun! It's definitely poppin with business. We were there on a Monday night and the place was still busy. Easy enough to grab a seat at the bar or a high top. They have garage doors they open in the summer. The service was amazing (we sat at the bar) and our favorite thing we ordered was the pizza.
