Came for brunch by myself and sat on the patio. Before my food or drink were delivered, one of the servers took the umbrella shading my seat to another table. He did not ask if it was okay, and it was pretty hot in the sun but nice under the umbrella. I asked my server to move it back and he said he wasn't allowed. I watched the other server move umbrellas around for the rest of my meal while I sweat at my table. Server offered to move me inside after my food and drink came out. My server didn't tell me there were no oysters when I ordered one with my drink. No offer to get a manager or anything to resolve any issues. There was trash all over the patio. The food was underwhelming and so was the Bloody Mary. Won't be returning. read more

This place seemed promising but my experience was a bit suboptimal. I started with a rather expensive cocktail that was all lemon juice, or so it tasted. The waiter offered a different drink to replace it and that was fine. I appreciated that from the wait staff with no discussion needed, The food quality seemed fine and was presented well. The wait staff was consistently good. My main complaint was that the food was bland, and I am not one of those folks who has to throw tabasco or other hot sauce on my food. Went here today for our anniversary, and our first kid free date since... March? We sat outside and felt amazingly comfortable. Service was stellar, and our soups came out super fast. Came in for brunch & lunch on a Saturday afternoon and the service and food was amazing! Their staff is very attentive and friendly. The manager was very welcoming and kind! Their portions are large and the breakfast is delicious ! My boyfriend had their Lobster Benny special which was only $20!! We have only been here fro breakfast a few times so far, but really, the food is fantastic. I always get the eggs Benedict with spinach, sun dried tomatoes and porcini mushrooms and it is delicious. And their hash browns are irresistible. My husband got a duck omelette last time and he loved it. They have great brunch cocktails and the staff has always been super polite and on top of things. It was a perfect night to sit outside and the food was as great as the evening: The Best crispy cauliflower in the world! Try it with the amazing Sweet & Spicy Asian Sauce. Then we shared the Cubano sandwich special, $17, and the Fish & Chips, $21, both excellent and generous servings. K&K does something magical with their fries, I don't know their secret, but they are by far the best in the area! Drinks are a little pricey but potent. Oh Kith And Kin, I've awaited to write this review until I've tried you at least twice. Being a 'newer' place I wanted to give you a chance. It seems like going with the fish would have been the smart choice from peoples pictures, but I've never been a fish d00d. First off, walking in this past weekend, the overwhelming smell of mold. The place LOOKS clean enough, and maybe it was just the carpet walking in. But the smell lingered for myself and my boo thang all the way back to the table. The food portions we saw going to other tables were huge, which was great. My meal ended up being...tiny. Giant plate, tiny 7 bites of food. As a 6'4" ogre, maybe this place wasn't made for me. Maybe I should stick with bridges and eating the people heading across to this restaurant. Either way it was a disappointment. I had also asked for butter, and received none. This may seem like a small thing to you, my faithful reader, but I make it a point now-a-days to not start my meal until I receive the things I ordered. It's just not worth me paying when I'm out if I don't get my full experience, and I'm just too old and tired to settle for at least not receiving the things you wrote down in your little pad of paper. I'm now a real 'YOU KIDS GET OFF MY LAWN' type these days. I eventually had to flag down a busboy after 20 minutes of waiting for our magic disappearing server. When the busboy was delivering me the butter, my server miraculously appeared. He joked that I should worry, the butter was probably baked right in to the food. We had been by this place a few times. Always looked interesting. Decided to stop and give the food a shot. My wife, my gluten free 5 yr old, and I were all floored with how everything was prepared. I had the steak and bleu Benedict, delicious, rare as ordered. Lobster Benedict with a gluten free roll for the kid, adult sized, she ate half of it and loved it. Second, while I commend the farm-to-table approach that restaurants like this use, it only works if the local fare that they serve is of really high quality. My husband and I visited Kith and Kin two hours after their grand opening. We were seated at a table right behind of the host stand which had four people standing behind it. The constant activity behind us was kind of bothersome. We were greeted immediately by our over the top happy server who informed us that there were no draft beers, only cans available today. I went to sip my water and there was a buggy floating on the top of its watery grave. Eep! The bread was brought to the table before ordering. I went to grab a piece and immediately felt a wetness to it. To my surprise the bottom of the bread was moist and doughy being that it was under cooked. My husband and I started with the clam chowder and the tomato bisque which were swiftly brought to us within minutes of ordering. My tomato bisque was not what I was expecting. It was as though the tomatoes were sun dried which I feel should've been noted on their menu, as that tomato is kind of an acquired taste. My husband said the "chowda" was excellent. In addition to the soup, I ordered the $31 dry aged sirloin which was a 12 oz sirloin with potatoes and shoe string onions and he ordered the scallops with tomato confit and asparagus. When they both arrived I was taken back at how small his portion was. There were six small scallops with these pathetic little asparagus strings. Lucky for him, I had steak to share! Once I got my fork into the steak to cut I noticed it was not a 12 oz sirloin, but two 6 oz side by side. Very misleading! The steak itself was excellent, however the onion strings were flaccid and seemed to be thrown in the oil to cook before the oil was the correct temp making them soggy and limp. It was kind of frustrating to order a $31 entree and it come with lumpy potatoes and soggy onions. The service overall was good, but a little too in your face. I expected A LOT more from this place especially since we paid $80+ for the meal. This place WANTS to be fine dining, but I think it's not the right atmosphere for it especially with how loud it was inside. The quality control is just not there. I feel like this place would do great if they calmed down on the menu and had more affordable entrees. read more

Two weeks new! We stopped in for brunch and plan to be back for dinner. Friend's caprese omelet and my smoked salmon with spinach and brie omelet were exceeded expectations. The salmon was an smoked fillet, then cooked inside the omelet with pieces of brie (not overpowering) and spinach Their home fries are potato wedges, barely seasoned yet incredibly tasty and cooked to perfection: crispy exteriors, soft insides. The bacon is slab and peppered. Cooked well, advise if you'd like it softer. Sounds silly but the salt n pepper shakers are sweet! Grips easily, compact yet solid accessory. Service was attentive and friendly. While the bar, where they infuse vodka in-house was almost full on this Monday early afternoon, there was no wait for the dining room which is decorated nicely in a rustic industrial style. Full bar selection including the NoLa classic sazerac. Kith and Kin has a winning formula. We're not from Hudson but found this while in the area. This is a great farm to table restaurant, that sources their food from several local farms. The entire staff was very friendly and worked well together. Our Waiter, Patrick was great! The salad had fresh asparagus, greens and fresh heirloom tomatoes that were sliced and topee with fresh mozzarella My friend had the scallops for dinner, which came with asparagus, and roasted peppers. There was a good portion of scallops, about 6. I had the yellow fin tuna- served rare. This came with a pineapple rice and fresh avacado. For dessert- we split their chocolate chip cookie ice cream sundae. This is made to order, and comes out in a cute little skillet. The cookie is warm and gooey! Vanilla ice cream is put on top. So good!!!! There was nothing left in either of our plates-absolutley delicious. We gave our compliments to our Waiter and he sent the owner, Joe, over to our table. Joe was very nice and spent a good amount of time talking to us. Quality food is hard to find, but it's easy if you go to Kith and Kin! It was cooked just perfectly, falling off of the bone, INCREDIBLY flavorful, and served with diced carrots, a blackberry, and a glaze that sets it all off to just melt in your mouth. Seems like a very popular spot for brunch in Hudson. Would recommend to call for reservation and there is limited parking. We ordered the fried pickles which the fried batter would slide off the pickles pretty easily, which was difficult to eat with the sauce. It was the perfect amount of coating of batter, but it just would not stick onto the pickles. I ordered a steak and blue cheese Benedict which I asked to be cooked medium, but it was more cooked medium well, and it was slightly burnt due to it being charred. Unfortunately was disappointed as this was a choice that seemed really adamant by the server and really wish it didn't have so much on top of it since it was really busy. The gnocchi was flavorful but a tad bit of salty. I will say the menu is some thing that is unique and interesting to try for sure but execution could have gone a lot better.
