Our group was looking for a bar to hang out at after the OC Fair, and found this place through Yelp. Kitsch is located in a small plaza next to the Residence Inn Marriott -- it's easy to miss because it has the smallest sign I've ever seen for a business! Once you walk inside, you'll see that there's a U-shaped bar with tables and lounge chairs lining the circumference of the room. Weirdly enough, they ran out of tequila and other liquors when we were there. Lots of people were dressed up - maybe they were coming from another event? All in all, it's a nice chill spot. read more

I really liked this place! It was a cozy little bar. My friends and I came to Kitsch around 10pm and left a little after midnight cuz we had a mad craving for some mozzarella sticks haha My friends and I are roughly all about 25. We felt pretty young compared to everyone else, but as the night wore on, the crowd got a little more diverse. The music was really chill and the DJ slowly added some more hip hop which we got excited about. There's no dance floor or anything, but if the right songs were playing, I wouldn't mind getting up and dancing in some of the open floor space. The drinks were really cheap too and definitely had us feeling some type of way after two of them. We ordered tequila based drinks so we had a Paloma and a Margarita. Both were delicious and only $9! This place was a little hard to find though. There are some dim lights on the sign, but overall, the place is in the dark. Just look for the bouncer outside! Overall, I was not amazed by this place but definitely enticed. I'd love to come back, especially on Friday when it's hip hop night, and who knows - I might have to edit my review to 5 stars! UPDATE: HIP HOP NIGHT DOESNT EXIST HAHA. Came on Friday night and it was deep house music the whole night. The drinks were fine and the bartenders were okay too. Located in a small, unassuming parking lot. Hard to find unless you look out for the bouncers at the door. Lots of seating and space, fun bar with wrap around seats, DJ with music blasting, and clean bathroom on site. Came for a couple of drinks and to hang out and talk. Definitely a fun place to people watch also. Only weird part I would say is the prices of your drinks depend on which bartender you go to. Saw two different bartenders and had ordered two of the same drinks each time, but got rung up with two different prices. Alas - this is no fault of Jordan's - because she sold us the most delicious Mai Tai's in the history of alcohol itself. Definition of Kitsch: Something that appeals to popular or lowbrow taste and is often of poor quality, or a tacky or lowbrow quality or condition. Now my Yelp friend Dani S. would typically describe my taste in places I frequent as kitsch, (she says they are all on her DB Central List). However, in my mind, Kitsch Bar is a cool place to shut down the evening. There is no sign on the outside. On Fridays, look for the super tall bouncer and you have found the entrance. On Sunday nights, just look for the crowd where you normally wouldn't see one. I have been here w/ some friends from Mesa and other friends, and I have never had a bad time. I even barely missed my Yelp friend Chris C. one time. Damn, I was looking forward to having drinks w/ him. The bartenders are cool and pour stiff drinks, the clientele are chill and the ladies are friendly. This place is like a real bar, where you have to belly up to the bar for a drink. Sometimes old skool is cool. But the best part about Kitsch is, I never FTGD!!! (Fail To Get Digits). Now, if I could just get them to respond later :XXX I can't wait to go back to Kitsch. Came here for a friend's birthday last night (4.20.24). It was my first time attending and/or hearing about this venue. I was pleasantly surprised. Parking was difficult but we did manage to luck out for a spot right in front after waiting a bit for someone to leave. Bartender was very polite, and despite running things for awhile by herself, was quick and attentive. I love the ambiance of the place! I didn't expect it to be quite so "pretty" for lack of better word?! It is small,but nice. I stuck to basic vodka and soda, which for once wasn't too weak (sorry, i am used to my strong-as-can-be West Hollywood drinks!). It was pretty much the perfect ratio for a lowkey chill night out. My friends ordered some of the specialty cocktails and said they were all good. The music was a lot of 90s hip hop... which seemed a bit odd to me in relation to the overall crowd vibe and aesthetic at the moment (especially with videos of aquariums and fish playing on the screens?!) but it was fine. As we were getting ready to leave around 10pm, the music switched and got really loud as more people were now showing up. My friends who introduced me to this place, love it and have visited numerous times now. I am sure I will be back with them sometime soon as they are aiming for Karaoke night get-togethers. read more

What a great find! We showed up around 8, found a great booth for 4 people and ordered drinks. Went to the ladies room, surprise, David Beckham wall paper! Loved it. At 10 they had a DJ come in and he played hip hop. It was awesome, not much of a dance floor but ya girls made it work. Highlights: cheap drinks, cool crowd, photo booth, great music, cozy and dark. I happen to be in the area so I popped in there Saturday for a drink. Hung out about half an hour. It's a cozy, chill dive bar. Waitress that helped me out was quick and friendly with my order. Back ground music was pretty chill. It set the mood with out drowning out people talking so you could actually have a conversation there. Crowd looked pretty young. Appeared to be mostly people in there 20s. I was there about until about 11ish and noticed 2 parties had left. I get pregame vibes at this place. I thought the urinal was a trip. Posted picture. Andrea is the best behind the bar and Gill is a great Trivia host. Trivia is every Tuesday, first game at 7:30 second one at 9:30 and the prizes are usually a bottle of wine or vodka which is lit. It's a small dive bar but with comfy seating and the women's restroom is covered with posters of David Beckham, easy on the eyes lol. Parking can be tough because it's located next to a couple popular food spots in a strip plaza but we've always been to able to find one after a couple minutes. My partner and I decided to check out Kitsch Bar on a random Sunday evening since we live like 5 minutes away. The decor inside is strikingly eclectic, and yes, the ladies' bathroom is plastered from floor to ceiling with David Beckham. But on to the drinks. We first ordered old fashioneds from the happy hour menu (7-9PM), and each drink was only $4. Not only that, but they were one of the better old fashioneds I've tasted - kudos to Jason the bartender for using sugar cubes like you're supposed to instead of simple syrup, maraschino liqueur, or any other bastardization I've come across in the past. Next, I tried the Lavender Pisco Sour, which came with a sizable rosemary sprig on top for dramatic flair. This was really good - tart, sweet, light, and a tiny bit savory from the rosemary. My partner got a variation of a Manhattan, which was pretty good too. The bar wasn't crowded so we were able to chat with Jason and his girlfriend Rochelle (who also happens to be a bartender here) for a good while. They're very friendly and seem knowledgeable not just about bartending but about mixology as well. Glad I stopped by! read more

My friend got harassed by a man at the bar, who we later found out works at a DJ there. His name is AARON. He started talking to my friend who kept rejecting his advances since she is in a committed relationship. He went as far as asking me and our other friend how "committed" the relationship is. We continuously told him that she is NOT AVAILABLE AT ALL. He refused to listen and he even tried to kiss her. After confronting him more assertively, he threatened to beat us up and kept getting in our face. Nobody should ever be treated this way, especially by someone who works here. I'm letting everyone I know that they should NEVER come here again. And Aaron, if you're reading this, take a hint and don't make girls uncomfortable. read more

Parking is a nightmare in this tiny lot but don't let it discourage you from going here. This place is a gem that I hope never fades. It's my de facto pre-game spot since the HH runs pretty late.
