Absolutely outstanding! I would consider myself a foodie and I'm hard to impress. The meat was so tender and marinated wonderfully. I usually don't go for pork, but the pork on the hibachi grill was superb. Probably the best pork I've ever had. The servers worked together and were so friendly and genuine. The sides were fresh and they brought out more when we requested a refill. We will be back. So fresh and homemade. The sauces were amazing. Soup and salad also great. My first time trying Korean bbq and I get the hype. While pricey you get unlimited sides and thee proteins which makes the process worth it. The staff was super helpful in recommending how to cook the meats and what sides to pair them with. Diverse menu, we ordered the galbi soup (more like a beef bone broth), yookgyejang (spicy beef soup), dumplings and marinated fried chicken. No offers on more water banchan etc. Restaurant service should be checking up on their customers not asking for something. 3x is more than enough. I have always wanted to try Korean BBQ. I had my little Chihuahua with me. Yelp said they didn't allow dogs, but since Kkoki Korean BBQ had outdoor seating, I called to verify. They said dogs were allowed on the patio, so I immediately went there. My server was Ryan. He was so friendly and welcoming. I explained that since I'd never had Korean BBQ before I didn't know what to order. He suggested the combo Pork Bulgogi, since it would offer an array of foods to sample. On my 4th day of burgers, pizzas, and sandwiches, I decided I needed some Korean food. I picked this place expecting it to just meet the bare minimum standard for Korean because there are not too many Asian people here. I was blown away. Their food tasted better than many Korean spots in OC. And the BOGO beer was the cherry on top. So glad Kkoki is in Denver to properly represent k-food. I can't do half stars but this was like a 5/10 if you account for all of food/service/value. I'll preface this by saying I'm from LA/OC so my expectations are kinda high. If I had this exact meal in California, I'd rate it lower. My husband and I ordered the kbbq combo A which came with chadol/bulgogi/dweji bulgogi/soondubu or kimchijjigae. This type of set for $90 is pretty pricey for what you get but I haven't had proper Korean food in Colorado for so long I said f it. chadol was good but VERY little, bulgogi was super sweet, pork was really salty. I also ordered the soft tofu soup that comes with the set and they brought out kimchi stew instead, but I didn't say anything. I ordered mul naengmyun (cold noodles) right after we finished our first meat (tried to order earlier but couldn't find a worker) so I could eat it with the marinated meats, but it took so long to come out i ended up eating it at the end of the meal. They put wayyyy too of the bibim sauce in it and it was insanely strong and salty. Would've preferred without it, otherwise i would've just ordered bibim naengmyun. Banchan was just ok. Salad, Kimchi, fish cake, bean sprouts, broccoli, soy pickled onion/jalapeno, pickled radish wraps (they were cut into halves/quarters? can't really wrap it like that). They also use an electric grill which is new for me, never seen that before at kbbq. They don't offer to swap out the grill either even though we had marinated meats (see below). Service - they were really nice but the staff didn't check up on us a single time. Only time we saw them was when they dropped off the food, when we had to flag them down, pay the bill). It took 5+ min to flag them down plus restaurant was really empty too. Overall, I would come back to try some of the traditional dishes/soups and other dishes because Korean food is so hard to come by unless you go to Aurora. I'd like to give them the chance to try those, but I wouldn't come back for the bbq. None of the food was bad but at this price point, the value isn't there. And I am happily to pay good money for good food. read more

Service was homey but efficient and prompt. Ambiance was satisfactory but not impressive considering the price of the entrees. Why the 4 star review? We were a party of 6 mostly in our late 70's and 80's. The menu clearly stated that the dishes were enough for 2 people, but the waiter, who was probably the owner, insisted that the portions were only big enough for one person and made each of us order a separate entree. Honestly this place really surprised us. It's definitely one of the higher quality Korean BBQ places in Colorado. It's a la carte style with different packages offered. Our friends wanted to try this place out for our friend's birthday. Although it is pricey compared to most places, the vibes, and the quality of the meats were worth it. Since we moved here from Chicago, it's been really difficult for us to find a good Korean BBQ joint in Denver. Now we'll add this place to our list!
