Party of 10, we came to see the sleigh and decor, after being wowed last year. We had a corner round table that accommodated all of us nicely, and is much more preferable to a rectangular table in terms of communicating with the entire group. I anticipated some delay on our food, but I was wrong. It all came out at about the same time, after our delicious appetizers. I had the salmon, and not only was the portion filing, it was so tasty! We never once had to ask for refills of our drinks, and our wait staff was attentive but not intrusive. The bill came to under $300, which was surprising because a few in our group had beers. Can't wait to see it again next year (but I won't wait a whole year before going back)

We stopped in for lunch after a college tour based on our guide's recommendation. The menu offers tons of options and our meals were good. There were cute signs around the interior space. Our server was great. It was a popular spot and full compared to other nearby establishments.

Shout out to Devin! My husband and I stopped by on a Saturday night. Devin was a fantastic server, he was so kind and kept checking in with us, making sure we were having a good time. Honestly, he made the whole night! My husband loved talking with him! The food was great, ambiance was fun, and the DJ upstairs was such a hoot. Can't wait to come back!

Great drinks , great food, great Blue Hen pride! Been to area several times, and this is a must stop for us. Food is consistently good! And we love the variety! We have a vegetarian in our family and she loves the choices here. Looks like a typical college bar, but the menu is anything but typical! Fast friendly service and good food will keep us coming back.

Different Cheesesteak'esque sandwich #1130. Special Wednesday drinks and cheesesteaks with Amigo Dan. High expectations and horrible service ruined what could have been a very nice stop. They did agree to our special order without hesitation. The special was a hot honey grilled cheese. We asked if they could make us a hot honey grilled cheesesteak. They said yes. It was downhill from there. We had visions of a sandwich drenched in cheese. That didn't happen. Special order, okay. But the service was horrible. We were sitting at the bar and had to wait for drinks. A couple sitting at a table in the bar area had to have the host get them another round of drinks. The bartender's three friends at the end of the bar got great service.

    Having a blast

The perfect bar - Klondike Kate's Newark's treasure. Relax and enjoy delicious food, festive drinks and amazing service. They never disappoint love Klondikes Jaime and her staff are the best! We held our holiday get together there and had a wonderful time. Perfect Christmas destination but truly delicious food and drinks anytime of the year. Their menu has a great selection for lunch and dinner. One of my favorite places anywhere not just Delaware.

Service was great, portions were sufficient and the food was all tasty. Typical college town bar that's generally crowded and loud, but lots of seating (including outdoors). Try the cheesesteak egg rolls!

Ordered a cheessteak hoagie and my husband ordered a main street burger. Both came with fries. Food was delivered in a timely manner. Had a coke and my husband had a Stella artois. The food was very good, and the ambiance was very laid back. The server was very nice. Recommend them when they are not busy. We went when it was homecoming so it was getting busy.

It wasn't very busy when we arrived for an early dinner and service was really slow. There were times we could not get our server's attention or was told she was busy. We just saw her in the beginning to order and at the end; however, we needed refills and ketchup during service so we were a little disappointed. The beggars purse pasta had a nice pesto like sauce and the pasta was al dente. There were a fewer shrimps than expected for the price. The salmon beurre blanc was average and the carrots in the medley were a little too undercooked as it was crunchy compared to the other vegetables. The Kates Rum Bucket was decent in terms of flavor but it was more like a juice as opposed to a cocktail as there was hardly any alcohol in it. In hindsight I would not have ordered it if it was so watered down.

Good place near University of Delaware. Great service. Good vibe. Incredible tots. Would have been a 4 star review, but the pork belly tacos were more like thick bacon tacos. Not bad, but not exactly a pork belly.

Service was average, food was average, drinks were average. Decent enough place, but nothing I would get too excited about.

Service was OK. My one pet peeve is allowing servers to leave dirty dishes and empty glasses on the table. And our server, although attentive, did not clear any dishes or glasses. Thank god I don't have epilepsy, the light over our table kept blinking non-stop. Plenty of off street parking for patrons. Lots of varied seating, both indoor and outdoor. See warning sign in my pics (haha). As far as prices, they are in line with any other places, as far as these other reviews that said it is excessively expensive, not true. Lunches are $15-20. Apps are a little pricey. Nice beer selection in the $8 ish range. Forgot I wanted to get a pan dessert, next time. I paid using InKind and got a nice discount.

Also, if you've read my prior reviews, you know I always want my water glass filled and the waiter made sure that was the case. It's a small detail that added to the overall comfort of the meal. The ambiance of the restaurant was warm and inviting, creating a relaxed setting for dinner. The food was well-prepared and flavorful. The veal meatballs were tender, the olive oil and sun-dried tomato dip for the bread was unique and yummy, and the mushroom agnolotti stood out as especially delicious. In fact, I can't wait to go back and have it again. Also, since it was Valentines weekend they added a cute little lips design on top of my drink. Another memorable touch was the mini firework placed on the butterscotch custard to celebrate my birthday. It added a bit of fun to the end of the meal and made the occasion feel special. My partner had the cannoli for dessert and it was definitely enough for two! Overall, Taverna delivered a very enjoyable dining experience, and I would be happy to return.

It was good, very refreshing. For my entree I got the Linguini & Clams. It was good, could've used a bit more salt but the sauce was good. For desert I got the boozy affogato and it was delish. Would definitely dine here again if I'm ever in the area.

It was less a sauce and more of a discolored lumpy paste. The dish./meal was cold in some spots and hot in other spots - the shrimp was rubbery - so it was obviously microwaved. It was not made fresh. It was absolutely disgusting. Over all, it felt like an insult - uneatable and unpresentable. Whomever cooked it should be ashamed to allow such a dish to go out into the dining room. It was completely unacceptable. I had been to this restaurant a few times before as my wife likes it. My only other problems were that they occasionally served cold french fries. I am done with this place. I had originally heard that the people who opened it were part of a group that had successful restaurants and cared about serving good food. It is not that now. Until I hear otherwise, I will never return... not even if it were free. The waitress said she'd get the manager - but the manager never showed. I did not have to pay for the Cajun Pasta...
