I came here ordered the knafe, the pieces are really small, I was still craving another one. So I went down the street to a place called forn al hara, they gave me a huge piece almost 2 pieces worth, $5 out the door. My new spot, employee said they always hook it up like this. Knafeh Cafe is my favorite spot for Knafe. We live in Montebello and make sure to come here when we are coming to Disneyland or craving Knafeh. Always a good place. When it's fresh. Like straight out the fire fresh cheese is good and stringy. Next day or even an hour later. The cheese hardens and even if you do a nice gentle heat to it. It's just not the same. Cheese is hard and doesn't do what you want. But compared to others in the Socal area. This place is by far much much better. In America so far the only other place that makes good Soft knafe and the cheese is 95% like the middle east is In Astoria New York. Named AL Sham Pastry. Just finished up a plate of warm knafeh I loved everything about the cafe. This had really good parking, seating and overall authentic middle eastern setting with a modern vibe. Throughout the cafe there is folk Arabic music playing that contributed to that authentic setting. Asem, the owner actually cooked and served me the plate I felt very happy with the service. He was very kind and attentive to details of what I asked for I felt very catered to. I hope people can come and see this for themselves. Located in little Arabia all around the cafe are other middle eastern flavored restaurants. This would be the place to go to after eating a big dinner for a quiet dessert. There is a huge emphasis of a family setting the are big tables to seat more guests per party. I strongly recommend this cafe to come sit and visit for family visits. Now for the food, I loved the knafeh, the cheese pull was so nice and the syrup was warm and just the right amount. I felt like it was genuinely made with care. This reminds me of a mom and pop shop that you go to get some amazing desserts And where you see locals grab and makes small talks with friends. We got service right away and was even assisted about ordering some knafeh for home. I really recommend the crispy one and eating it on the same day. Really wanted to love it and try something new, but the place was filled with flying insects. They were all over the place and in the glass cases where they keep and display the food. 3 star review is a tough one, only because the Knafeh itself was well deserving of 4.5 stars. Knafeh cafe loses a star only because of the service. After paying over $50 for knafeh and ice creams we are questioned if we paid for the ice creams as we are leaving and had to explain exactly who purchased an ice cream, like why? On top of that we were charged 2 dollars for 10 small paper plates and plastic forks, feel like thats a cost that should be included when you purchase a large family sized Knafeh. Sad to say I won't be returning here, the last thing any one wants is to have to explain themselves of what exactly they purchased and feel like they did something wrong for giving this place business. read more

It is very difficult to find good knafeh let alone knafeh at all in orange county . So i was excited to find this place . The owner is warm and patient with helping his customers and giving recommendations and instructions on how long to warm the knafeh. They have crispy and soft knafeh along with other middle eastern desserts. They are authentic and delicious . I have tried several places in the area but no where can conpare to knafeh at this place. I had the knafeh for $5.38 and 7lawet jebn, which is sold for $7 for half a pound (4 rolls).
