We stayed at the hotel and visited this coffee shop several times over a week. The coffee is great! I tried drip coffee and the brown sugar iced oatmilk drink. The food is great tasting, the breakfast sandwich ingredients taste fresh and come out hot. The staff are very friendly and there is a large menu with several options to choose from. Located in the lobby of Queen Kapiolani Hotel, this is a great spot for coffee or a bite to eat. Since its right across from the zoo, we've also just walked over to get some caffeine to prepare us for a long day :) Love their flat white and I usually order it iced and w/ soy milk. We recently got to check them out for breakfast and enjoyed our meal! Food took a little long, but we didn't mind as we just relaxed in their open air seating area, which was easy to get a table. For breakfast we ordered their Avocado Toast and Japanese style pancakes. I'd recommend both items but probably lean more towards the pancakes which had a great fluffy texture and served w/ a delicious honey butter and syrup - YUM! I think the only downside is that it's a bit pricey but you're in Waikiki so it's expected. We'll definitely be back the next time we're around the area. read more

We arrived at 9:30. No wait. No line. No problems, right? We wanted a quick in and out breakfast so we could move on to our snorkeling appointment. Not so fast, hold my beer... It's now 9:59 and I'm watching the workers talk, fix hair, talk, make themselves drinks, talk--oh yeah and did I mention TALK??? WTH? We came hungry and are about to leave hungry. We arrived and I ordered chicken and waffles--they told me "oh no, that's the 10 o'clock menu." WTF!!!???!!? I settled for what I didn't want so we could be in and out and I could have waited for what I wanted due to the pitiful and inconsiderate service. This is the absolute worst service we've not only experienced in hawaii but in our entire exploration of the globe. Seriously. I just asked about our food (10:07) and was told this: They are busy upstairs, you have to wait. If you want something different you'll wait longer. It's the way it is." But I wish I can add in her snarky, ignorant attitude. What a WITCH with a capital B. This place is horrible. DO NOT COME HERE!!!! They will steal your vacation time and your ability to enjoy food in a reasonable manor. I will not submit this review until I can report the actual time the food finds our table.... At 10:19 my partner is now asking what's up? This seems like a vortex of crap service and lies. I'd love to eat at a place where I go,, pay, and then receive food--what a concept! And so now we are asking for a refund at 10:29AM. Best part of the whole thing--she never apologized or asks what happened. SCREW THIS PLACE--I WARNED YOU. This is one of my favorite cafés in Waikiki! The staff are always cheerful and friendly, and it's the perfect spot whether you just want to grab a quick drink or snack, or relax and chat with friends. They have Wi-Fi too, so I love coming here when I need to get some work done on my laptop. The open-air space also means you don't have to worry about freezing from the A/C, which I really appreciate. I recently found out they have a happy hour, so I'd love to come back after the beach and enjoy a drink! read more

It's located inside the Queen Kapiolani hotel, which is across the street from the Honolulu Zoo. I ordered one of the staff recommendations which was a breezy brown sugar latte. I added an extra shot of espresso. It was so good! Smooth espresso with hints of brown sugar made this drink so creamy and delicious. My husband ordered the homemade lemonade and he and my kids loved it! There is a seating area with tables and chairs. Or you can take your drink to go as you explore Waikiki! Opens very early in the morning. It was convenient to have it in the same hotel where I was staying. They have a couple of fridges with beverages and snacks, and cute merch to buy. Service is really nice, I didn't feel rushed. The coffee is good. You can order other food items from Deck or a pastry from there. My favorite drink was the Queen Cappuccino. We stopped by Knots Coffee Roasters for a quick afternoon snack after strolling over from the Honolulu Zoo across the street while we read some good reviews from others. The café is set inside an open-air hotel lobby, which gives it a hip, laid-back vibe. However, the atmosphere was a bit off--several people were napping at tables, which made the space feel more like a lounge than a welcoming café. The staff was friendly and polite, but not very attentive. We had to flag someone down just to place an order, and during our entire visit, not a single table was cleaned, which didn't leave the best impression. What We Ordered: Butterfly Peaberry Latte w/ Oat Milk - Visually striking, but lacked flavor. We couldn't taste any of the vanilla or lemon notes that were supposed to come through. Nice color, but nothing special beyond that. Iced Mango Peach Tea - Had a pleasant aroma, but the flavor was almost nonexistent. Not sweet as we expected--but we'll take the blame for not asking in advance. Tokyo-Style Pancakes - Took 25 minutes to arrive (we were told 15), as they're prepared in the hotel kitchen. I was quite disappointed with the overall experience at this Waikiki hotel coffee shop. The quality of service and food did not meet the standard I would expect from a venue in this area. While the coffee was acceptable, the food was unfortunately far below expectations. I ordered the "Tokyo-style" pancake, which turned out to be more reminiscent of a McDonald's pancake than the fluffy, airy Japanese-style pancake it's meant to resemble. As seen in the attached photo, it lacked the characteristic height and texture typically achieved by incorporating whipped egg whites. Additionally, the fruit served with the pancake was underwhelming. Aside from a few blueberries, the rest of the fruit appeared to be canned or not fresh. What's pictured is all that came with the dish, which was very minimal--especially for a $20 menu item. I was also told the wait time would be 15-20 minutes, which I was fine with, but the order took 43 minutes to arrive. During that time, the staff did not display the same level of friendliness and attentiveness I've experienced at other local coffee shops. Finally OPEN!! Super hip, new coffee shop located in the Lobby of the Queen Kapiolani Hotel! Great for those staying at the hotel or nearby, but if you are driving you can park with valet at the hotel, across the street at the zoo, or find street parking. They offer coffee, specialty coffees, teas, specialty cocktails and bakery items. There is space to sit on the counter, tables nearby or you can take your drinks and enjoy on the lobby furniture. I typically love ordering the Vietnamese coffee here, as it's the right balance of strong/bitter and sweet. The drink is a lil expensive but to be expected as the shop is located in Waikiki. I didn't request non-dairy, but I believe the drink is pre-made with dairy. Delicious, reminiscent of a dirty chai. I didn't see a restroom or notice indications of free WiFi; however, there are plenty of goodies to buy and seat to lounge in.
