First I hate paying for parking... but parked at the zoo for 2 hrs. $3 Next, I understand it is 7am, but it wouldn't hurt the baristas to smile. The rating, gave 2 stars for the seating area. Lots of seating, in the lobby of the hotel. Very overpriced coffee. Ordered the Queen cappuccino $8. Coconut milk, chocolate, caramel, Mac nut, vanilla. What could go wrong? I would give this place a 0/5 if i could. First off, I have no idea why my coffee is colored like this. They don't have a normal cold brew so I was suggested to get the nitro instead. Knots Coffee Roasters is the cutest kind of cozy, located in the Queen Kapiolani Hotel it's an open concept with the outdoorsy breeze without being outside and whenever I'm in the area it's so tempting to take advantage of the comforting vibe and chill. Today unfortunately was a quick morning treat to keep my work flow at it's happy place and it was The Queen Cappuccino which is actually a Ice Blended drink because it already was so hot. The Queen Cappuccino is Coconut milk, macadamia nut, vanilla caramel, chocolate and cinnamon...wow that's a crazy build but it wasn't sweet at all and actually really mellow. I couldn't really taste it all individually but combined it was a yummy refreshing drink. With so much crafted drinks Knots is a cool spot for fun or play to spend your day, thank you!!! read more

Stopped by for a drink since I was in the area and the shop itself is cute. They have a decent selection of drinks and there's also food items you can order. I got the matcha frozen drink. Covid rating: Staff here often don't wear masks or sling mask under their nose and sorta act like "what?" Especially one consistent woman with pigtails. I mean. What are you gonna do as a customer? Tell them they can't make your drink unless they please do what every other food service person does and cover their nose and mouth with a mask? Honolulu as a whole is pretty high compliance with masks. This place stands out for non-compliance. I'm not ridiculous on Covid regs. I think they can be overdone. And thankfully rates are low and declining. And outdoor seating seems to be low risk. But common sense for food service workers to stick to this right now and management to enforce it. On the whole, the coffee shop in the lobby of the Queen Kapiolani has some quality items and indoor-outdoor space is especially pleasant. Mix of local, remote workers and tourists. read more

My wife and I were staying at the hotel for our honeymoon and wanted some coffee before our planned day to North shore. We were looking over the menu and the barista seemed a little upset we weren't ready to order and gave us a hand menu. (I could see if there was a line behind us, but there wasn't. It was just us). If I wanted the smaller menu I would had grabbed that. We seemed rushed and the lady gave us a little attitude when we were browsing. After deciding a drink, she seemed still angry- talking with the other girl. I felt a little awkward. I didn't tip and again, felt hostility. Even the girl making our drink seemed a little on edge. Not sure if the workers just don't like their job or what. We decided not to go back there for the rest of the stay. Such a shame because the hotel and the trip was so enjoyable. The butterfly pea tea latte was just what I was looking for, especially since I am not a coffee drinker and prefer a gentler drink in the mornings to calm nerves. Paired this drink with soy milk, and it was also sweetened some with vanilla syrup. I think they add a little lemon to color the tea, but it wasn't tart at all. The tea is mild in flavor and delicious. If you're looking for something sweeter, stronger, caffeinated, and extra -- skip this drink. Great place to grab coffee, grab some hearty food, or work remote! I came here on a Monday at around 9:00am and it wasn't too busy! Plenty of seating, and it was open and airy. I wanted to sit in an area where I could experience that indoor/outdoor feel, and I was not disappointed! The Wi-Fi is also pretty good as well, and there are some outlets along the wall, which makes working remotely here pretty easy. I got the Longboard latte, with oat milk and it was delicious! I really mainly came here to enjoy the natural breeze and the island vibes that this coffee place had to offer, and again, it did not disappoint! If you want to order one of their cheesecakes, it must be done in advance through their website, it's pretty easy but quantities are limited. I went in on Sunday. It was a bit busy, but not too hectic. I haven't been to the QK before, but the renovation looks great. After a few minutes in line, gave them my name and picked up my cheesecake. Service was friendly and all COVID precautions were being taken. In terms of the cheesecake, fluffy inside with good flavor. The outside has a rich flavor that compliments the inside well.
