Small Neapolitan wedding cake for 6.
    George S.

My husband and I traveled to the island with some family and friends to have a very small intimate wedding in February. I ordered the cake a month in advance after lots of back and forth with Candi. She answered all my questions and showed lots of patience with me since I didn't answer quickly and always had more questions. The day of our ceremony, we drove to pick up the cake. Staff were welcoming and very helpful. When we cut into it that night, the cake was moist, flavorful, and absolutely perfect for our little wedding. My only regret was I had none to bring home with me. Thank you all for helping make our day absolutely perfect!

Called in order to try Blackberry cold foam matcha! So yummy! Friendly staff had it ready when I got there!

We've been to Ko Bakery a few times. Our 2 daughters have been celebrating their birthdays together for some time and always request cakes from here. They're always a hit a the party. Perfect size, always moist, always yummy....not too sweet either! Made with love, and they are always accommodating with requests, colors, fillings, and flavors. She even let me come in to the bakery after business hours to place my order Cleanliness 10/10 Service 10/10 Promptness 10/10 Product 10/10 Totally worth the money

    Carrot ginger cake

This bakery is located in an industrial building across the street from one of the best plate lunch places around. Although their modern showroom was sleek and somewhat bare, the service I received was top notch. I didn't have enough appetite for more than a carrot ginger cake and macchiato, but boy were these great. The barista was very friendly and made an excellent drink for me. Just the right amount of everything to make a super rich espresso and the foam was fluffy and blanketed my caffeine. The cake was supremely moist and spiked with a ginger punch. Just the right amount of shredded carrots to make one think you're being somewhat healthy and the frosting had a sour cream twang. Overall one of the more decadent desserts of the day. I wish I took a better picture as this photo really does not do justice for the dessert. I'm anxious to come back and get more coffee and sweets.

    THE Coco Oat Scotchie.

We were visiting Kauai in celebration of my wife's birthday and I ordered a cake in advance from the mainland. We received a friendly confirmation from Candi and everything went very smoothly. "The Triple Threat" was made with high quality chocolate and was delicious. But the real threat I discovered was the best cookie I've ever had - the Coco Oat Scotchie. Coconut! Oats! Butterscotch! I saw it in the case while picking up the cake and had to have one...and then a couple of days later, I went back....and then again the day before we left. We met Candi at the store and she was as friendly as could be, and recommended some GREAT Hawaiian Turtle Mochas! She was awesome and very helpful. Can't recommend this place highly enough!

We just got a lilikoi dream cake from this bakery. This cake was so amazing! I loved this cake and enjoyed it til it was gone a couple days later. I can't wait to come back to Kauai and order more from them :)

My husband and I got married at the Sheraton Kauai resort in March 2024. We ordered the 12in Tropical dream cake with coconut for cake cutting and also mini cheesecakes, cupcakes, and cookies for our late night snack/dessert bar for guests. The cake was beautiful and we are so happy we got to enjoy it after our wedding as well. Morris was always quick to respond to my email inquiries and delivered without any issues on our wedding day. I highly recommend Ko bakery for desserts and events.

I had ordered a carrot ginger cake for our 10 year anniversary and it was amazing. We grabbed a delicious coffee while picking up the cake and it was the best coffee we have had ever. Great bakery with lots of tasty items.

    Lilikoi cake with Hawaiian flowers

Amazing place! We have ordered a cake for our special occasion from Ko Bakery and communicated about the order details over the email with Candi. She is wonderful. Not only she was quick in response but took her time to write detailed cake, filling, and decoration description. We've got a lilikoi cake with Hawaiian flowers and it was beyond delicious: light cream not too sweet, lilikoi filling and yummy sponge. Very happy with how everything turned out and super grateful to Candi and owner Chris for how easy the process was!

    Birthday cake.
    Kelson S.

Ordered a lilikoi passion cake for my wife's birthday through the bakery's website. It was a quick and easy experience - just remember the cutoff to order is 2 days prior to pickup. Picking up the cake was very easy as well. Online orders require pre-payment, so pickup just required my name. This was my first time ordering a cake from Ko; the clerk explained the process to ensure the best eating experience. Our family loved the flavor and texture of the cake. Ko bakery: thank you for putting the icing on the cake... figuratively and literally!

We stopped by on a Tuesday around 8:30AM and got our pick of malasadas to try out! Kauai Bakery is located in a shopping plaza with plenty of ample parking, making it very easy to stop by and grab some delicious pastries. Service is like your typical bakery, you pick what you would like and they get it to you so you can stuff your face immediately after purchase. Ambiance is cozy with plenty of pastries to pick from in the large display case. We got 4 flavors of Malasadas for $16, which is $4 per doughnut, which I think is a decent price for the size and heft. The flavors we sampled were Lilikoi, Coconut, and Guava - out of these flavors, the coconut one was my personal favorite! The flavor was exactly what I would want anything coconut cream flavor should taste, creamy texture with a pleasant coconut taste that didn't taste artificial at all. It captured the floral background taste that is missing from a lot of coconut desserts that makes coconut so pleasing to eat! The Lilikoi one was my next favorite, it had a slight tartness and a more subtly pronounced flavor - I think I was looking for something stronger personally. Lastly was the guava one, which actually tasted a bit artificial and didn't have a pronounced flavor at all, which was unfortunate. Despite this critique, I would still glady inhale 2 or 3 of them because the dough was really pillowy and really enjoyable to eat. I think that the pastries here (at least the malasadas) are very solid and priced competitively vs most things here on Kauai. I would totally come back to get several more of the malasadas as well as try the other pastry options on the menu. Stop by and give this bakery a try if you are in the area!

I should've got a dozen. This place is a small Filipino bakery and turo-turo joint on Rice Street in Lihue in between Rob's Good Times Grill and the bowling alley. The Tita that helped us was friendly and I was going to get a bag of their homemade chicharon but decided against it. She laughed when I changed my mind. They have some vegetables for sale scattered about the small retail space out front. But the main draw is their baked goods and their hot food to-go. I saw everything from biko (sticky rice dessert), musubis, empanadas, suman (sticky rice wrapped in banana leaf) for baked and packaged goods. Then they had pancit, dinuguan, fried fish and pork adobo. There were several other offerings that I cannot recall. Pan de sal was 3 for $1 or a dozen for $4. Gotta get the dozen. Parking is in the share lot right out front or street parking along Rice if the plaza is packed.

Next, our server came around asking if we would like coffee..yes please! Mind you, I had just heard her tell a different lady who went up to to ask her for something as well to "go have a seat, I'll be right there" :/ I understand this is a busy restaurant but I do feel they need to work on their customer service!
