    UPDATED MENU

KOBE hotpot is my new favorite place, we've visited three times this week. They recently updated to ONLY serve hotpot. They still have the same drink selection. It's a 90 minute all you can eat, you choose your broths and meat, serve yourself sauces, veggies and sides at the buffet and then cook it all at your table. The staff is attentive and will explain if you need a rundown. The restaurant itself is clean and spacious.

Food is pretty good. The service was good. It was nice and clean. The staff is very friendly.

The food came out quickly and was beautifully presented in individual pots with a small flame underneath, such a unique and fun touch! The ramen and broth were both rich and flavorful. The restaurant is clean, spacious, and the staff are very friendly. The only thing that could make it even better would be adding more side ingredients like eggs, bamboo shoots, or meat. It felt like there wasn't quite enough of the smaller toppings compared to the noodles and soup.

The ramen was the the best I've had on the north side. I loved the presentation and anime playing in the background. We will be back.

So my son and I are in the area for the Arizona Cup this weekend and so I am attempting to broaden his palette so we stopped in to experiment with a Hot pot style restaurant. I ate at several of these last year when I was in Japan but there I had a guide/interpreter to guide me. We opted not to attempt the hot pot on first solo trip and opted for the ramen bowls. I had the Tonkotsu with steak and rice noodles and he had the Miso with steak and ramen noodles. Both were delicious and a lot of fun. We finished it off with mochi which was delicious also. Service was absolutely amazing as the waiter walked us patiently through the process as we made our choices. My son was very indecisive as this was his first go at hot pots. Fun experience and when in the area we will try again.

Got here on a Sunday night at 8:30pm. They close at 9pm so they were only offering to go orders. We ordered the Tonkotsu ramen, 2 Black Garlic Ramen, Crispy Gyoza, Lemon Grass Fish Cake, Fried tofu, and Edamame. Had high hopes, but did not enjoy any of the ramen options. Broth had little flavor and the pork chashu was unimpressive. Hate that I wrote that. The other dishes were decent, but won't be enough to get us to return. Service was good so I bumped the rating up. Hopefully, things improve in the future.

Standard table with hot plate- VERY clean restaurant with VERY fresh food and great service!

So my son and I decided to stop in for our "Men's night out" dinner- and we were quite impressed! The restaurants first impression after walking in is VERY CLEAN!! We were welcomed quickly and escorted to our table. The Service is awesome, pleasant and welcoming. The menu options are plentiful and we decided on the Hot Pot option with a plentiful variety to choose from and did not regret! Everything was FRESH, vegetables and meat options alike! The water that is served is fresh cucumber water, which is rare to find and delicious. We opted for Soft Drinks, which was served in bottles. The portions were very generous and we really enjoyed cooking the items in our own Miso Soup pot! My son had a great time trying new things and ate more than I thought he would, being he is typically a picky eater! I remember we went in as a family once several years ago- but it must have been different owners. We hadn't been back since, but are glad we gave it another chance! Highly recommended, GREAT food and service! Regular menu items for those who don't want the fuss of cooking their own food or doing the hot plate option- the choice and options are plenty!

It's not bad but it's the definition of a mediocre restaurant. You can kinda get a hint of the soup flavor when you take the first bite, and it's all feels like powered soup after that. The ramen noodles have an okay texture. The protein was fine at best, and the garnishes did not add any complexity to the soup nor did they individually have a distinct taste. The worst part about the place is the price. $18 before tax is a price point generally commanded by the best ramen houses in downtown LA. The food here feels and tastes like it was made by a college student that was trying to impress a room mate.

Nishikawa Ramen is a small little ramen shop decorated with anime posters from Naruto, One Piece,…read moreand Dragon Ball. There were also cute little trinkets of My Neighbor Totoro. Upon entering, we were free to seat ourselves and chose a booth by the wall. It was not busy at all and the service was quick and friendly. We started off with a large sake bomb paired with a Kirin Light ($15). We then ordered two Tonkotsu Ramens, one medium spice and one hot spice ($15.99 each). Honestly, the hot spice level did not taste spicy at all, so I would recommend going extra hot if you like spice. They also provide chili powder on the table if you want to add more spice yourself. The ramen broth itself could have used a tad more flavor. I lightly added some soy sauce to the broth which is something I often do to add a little kick. I loved all of the toppings included, from the green onions to the kikurage (wood ear mushroom). My favorite part was the pork chashu, which was really tender and delicious. I also appreciated that the ramen came with a full soft boiled egg rather than half an egg, and the egg was perfectly runny. Before leaving, we ordered their tea special that was buy one get one. We got a matcha milk tea and a cafe latte which I forgot to take a photo of. I felt like the cafe latte could have used a little more sweetness to balance it. Also, I found it neat that Nishikawa offers a rewards program, not something I see often at ramen shops. My true rating would be 4.5 due to some of the criticisms I mentioned above, but overall I still had a good experience. Thank you for serving us. Visited 5/2/26

I sat there for several minutes and when she came back, she asked if I was ready to order. I asked for a menu and then she tapped this little sign on the table that had a QR code on it. I guess they want you to use your phone to look up the menu but then she brought me a printed menu and a glass of water. I had about a minute to look at the menu before the waitress came back and asked what I wanted. I ordered the small portion of the chicken karaage appetizer and the Nishikawa Black Ramen. Both items came out at about the same time. The chicken was good and there was a lot which somewhat surprised me because I thought they had given me a large portion by mistake. The only downside was that the plate was really small so the chicken kept tumbling onto the table. The ramen was just ok. It came in a really big bowl and there was a lot of broth and toppings but relatively little noodles in comparison. It was more like a bowl of soup. The slice of pork was huge but a little bit chewy when I was expecting it to be tender. The egg wasn't sliced so it was difficult to pick up the entire piece with my chopsticks. The chicken was $7 and the ramen was $18. I would have been ok just getting the chicken, perhaps a large portion for $12. I wouldn't get this particular ramen again. With tax and a tip my total was a little over $31 which isn't the most I've spent at a ramen restaurant, but it wasn't cheap either. I wasn't offered a refill on my drink until after I had paid and was ready to leave. In fact, I only saw the waitress once after my food was brought out, and that was when she brought me the bill. The rest of the time she was somewhere in the kitchen.

When I walked in, I was promptly directed to where I should go so I could place a takeout order. The genuine courtesy of the staff here was just what I needed after a long day. Lots of great options for sushi but ramen sounded amazing on a chilly winter day. I ordered a couple options and requested for the toppings to be separated so my picky eater could pick out what she didn't like. The food was out promptly and packaged with such care. Once I got it back to my daughter's hospital room, we were able to feast on the best meal we had all day. I will definitely be coming back to this place again and I am grateful for their kindness just when I needed it. Highly recommend!

Our server was attentive, happy hour was good and everything came out quickly. The cucumber salad was super refreshing and gyoza were yummy with a delicious sauce. We ordered sake bombs, and I absolutely love that they serve them with frosty chilled glasses. We tried two different ramen bowls and both were packed with flavor. The spice levels felt pretty accurate, the eggs were cooked perfectly, the meat was tender, and the noodles had a great texture. Each bowl had its own flavor profile, but both were equally delicious. We also tried the takoyaki (octopus balls). I was already getting full, so I wasn't as excited about them, but my boyfriend described them as a BBQ pancake bite. Overall, this is a great spot for ramen. I did notice the music was all girl bands and no boy bands. Clean restaurant, good service, flavorful food, and a fun atmosphere. I'd definitely come back.
