I am a highly restrictive eater. GF by necessity. Pork free by choice. So I can be a bit hard to please. So, when Hotpot presented on my Yelp "must eat if you're in the area" I was a bit skeptical. Well, i was wrong. This was an amazing culinary experience. We went during lunch prices which was great because $21/person in our house is a luxury. Our waitress (who was actually the owner) explained that I could order a vegetarian broth then season how I like. She then helped us choose two different flavors for the broth. We then chose our "add ins". There was a bar of fresh vegetables, noodles (with separate tongs) and sauces. Here's where we had to strategize. My husband is not GF. So, he wanted to try the wheat based noodles. That meant he had his broth and I had mine. Though I would have liked to experiment more, that worked out perfectly because I was absolutely in love with the spicy lemongrass. My veggies were delicious with a variety including 3 different mushrooms and squash. Now the downside. Salt. This had to have been one of the saltiest dishes Ive ever eaten. If you are sensitive please be aware. But truly, Don't let This little restaurant in a little shopping center fool you. It is packed with big flavor, Great service and all around just comfort food at its best! read more

It's a 90 minute all you can eat, you choose your broths and meat, serve yourself sauces, veggies and sides at the buffet and then cook it all at your table. So my son and I are in the area for the Arizona Cup this weekend and so I am attempting to broaden his palette so we stopped in to experiment with a Hot pot style restaurant. I ate at several of these last year when I was in Japan but there I had a guide/interpreter to guide me. We opted not to attempt the hot pot on first solo trip and opted for the ramen bowls. I had the Tonkotsu with steak and rice noodles and he had the Miso with steak and ramen noodles. Both were delicious and a lot of fun. We finished it off with mochi which was delicious also. Service was absolutely amazing as the waiter walked us patiently through the process as we made our choices. My son was very indecisive as this was his first go at hot pots. We've been looking for a new Hot Pot place and I think we've found it. The flavors are great, the meat selections are awesome. We had Wagyu Toro, Kobe Beef, Pork Belly, Fish Cakes and an assortment of veggies. I don't drink caffeine and the waiter helped me figure out if Ramiune has caffeine or not (it doesn't, hooray!) Got here on a Sunday night at 8:30pm. They close at 9pm so they were only offering to go orders. We ordered the Tonkotsu ramen, 2 Black Garlic Ramen, Crispy Gyoza, Lemon Grass Fish Cake, Fried tofu, and Edamame. Had high hopes, but did not enjoy any of the ramen options. Broth had little flavor and the pork chashu was unimpressive. Hate that I wrote that. The other dishes were decent, but won't be enough to get us to return. So my son and I decided to stop in for our "Men's night out" dinner- and we were quite impressed! The restaurants first impression after walking in is VERY CLEAN!! We were welcomed quickly and escorted to our table. The Service is awesome, pleasant and welcoming. The menu options are plentiful and we decided on the Hot Pot option with a plentiful variety to choose from and did not regret! Everything was FRESH, vegetables and meat options alike! The water that is served is fresh cucumber water, which is rare to find and delicious. We opted for Soft Drinks, which was served in bottles. The portions were very generous and we really enjoyed cooking the items in our own Miso Soup pot! My son had a great time trying new things and ate more than I thought he would, being he is typically a picky eater! I remember we went in as a family once several years ago- but it must have been different owners. We hadn't been back since, but are glad we gave it another chance! It's not bad but it's the definition of a mediocre restaurant. You can kinda get a hint of the soup flavor when you take the first bite, and it's all feels like powered soup after that. The ramen noodles have an okay texture. The protein was fine at best, and the garnishes did not add any complexity to the soup nor did they individually have a distinct taste. The worst part about the place is the price. $18 before tax is a price point generally commanded by the best ramen houses in downtown LA. Hands down the worst hot pot I've ever tried. Portion size is decent but No flavor at all.

Went a couple of hours before closing. Food was terrific. Had both the spicy miso ramen and hot pot for our table. Ingredients were fresh and the staff was more than kind and helpful. They gave advice what to order for first timers to the restaurant, and we never had to ask for anything to the table as they made sure we were well taken care of. 10/10 would go out of the way to revisit. Our first visit here and some mixed feelings. They were short on staff, but the gentleman was very helpful and was doing his best. In terms of the food, two of us are vegan, and our friend is vegetarian. Surprisingly, the options were limited. There is one vegan option, which is a ramen bowl with tofu. It was good, but they give you one small piece of tofu, and the item is $18. The meat versions cost the same, which is not really fair. We also ordered the sweet potato fries, but had to omit the parmasane cheese (odd to put cheese). They were good, but a small portion for the price. We also ordered the fried tofu, which is very oily and again you get a small amount for the price. Overall, I would not recommend this restaurant mainly because it's very pricey for what you get and the tofu is very oily. read more

Delicious upon delicious. If you haven't had "hot pot" before it will be a new experience for you, but I highly suggest. You literally get to eat beef, pork, shrimp; whatever you like, hot right out of the pot, hence the name. You just spoon it out of the pot, literaly. Our waiter, Alek, was super great, he helped navigate through a menu that can be confusing to those who haven't had hot pot before, advising on food items to have and how long to let them cook. For those less adventurous, their tempura is AMAZING. I wish I had pictures but was that good. read more

Food is great. Stars are knocked off not for the food but because of the service and ambiance. We walked in an hour before they closed and felt rushed the entire time. There was a lovely family sitting in front of us and the server actually went up to the table to let them know they closed in 20 minutes. What an unexpected and terrific food find in the middle of nowhere. On our way to Sedona we stopped here for lunch. It was an incredible Hot Pot experience. Very cool concept - half of restaurant serves Chinese Hot Pot (similar to Japanese Shabu Shabu) that you cook yourself. The other half serves ramen. I ordered the lemon grass base and my husband ordered coconut curry. Both were tasty!!! You then select your desired protein, veggies and noodles -- and voila! Service was great -- and the owner was super friendly. She clearly explained how to cook your food in the hot pot and how to get the most out of the experience. I give it 3 stars because the bowls are so good. It's healthy and I do recommend take out for sure. The decor is very modern in the restaurant and it looks like it would be a very nice place, but the service is less than desired. We figured out the fondue is way more than just ordering a $15/bowl each so that's what we did. When we got there for my birthday, there was only 1 family seated. We took a bit to figure out the pricing structure and what made sense and who wants what. My son is highly allergic to shrimp so we opted for separate bowls to not expose him to allergic reaction's by sharing. We ordered from a server who really seemed to be having a tough time managing our tables and I'm guessing take out orders, but that part I'm just assuming since we saw him so little. We got there around 6pm. 5 more parties came in after us. The table next to us who came in after us complained about not getting drinks or service quick. They were the next to get their meal. Everyone else then got their meal that seated after us. It was now after 6:30pm and it was getting ridiculous that we didn't have food. My husband was now visibly upset since we were the only ones in the restaurant without food AND it was my birthday meal. So he went up and no one helped him. Our server then ignored him, passing him while he waiting to take to him and delivered my ramen bowl and then by 6:45pm we finally all had our bowls. It was really yummy. The server didn't give us any forks or chopsticks so my husband again got up and got those for us so we could eat our bowls. The only other time the server showed up was to ask if we wanted dessert, but we didn't have an extra hour to wait on that so I asked for the check. He brought it and only then did he apologize and then blamed the kitchen and said it wasn't his fault (something about timing of kitchen, when they give him the bowls to send out). I told him not to worry about it (and we were so very nice because it was my birthday and we just were not going to have a bad night. My husband always tips really well, but this server was so bad we gave 10% and I know he's mad about it. The fact that no only did we wait a very long time, not get served our meal when everyone else did and then couldn't even get us silverware and my Husband had to was just too much to justify a better tip. He's lucky he got anything in my opinion for the way we were treated last night. He needs to learn to put orders in when ordered and make sure people get their food in a reasonable amount of time. It's Ramen, veggies and broth. How long can it possibly take to cook? I'm sure the server screwed its up. My sisters, mom and I were able to try this restaurant the other day and we were pretty happy. It isn't this best shabu shabu place, but it definitely hits the spot, especially since it's really the only place with this type of food around Anthem. We really liked the huge selection of vegetables and meats! We were able to order a lot and get super full. Our only complaint was the broths lacked flavor... They could have been saltier and packed a little more punch. They supplied miso paste and soy sauce with the food, which we ended up using a lot of with the different foods after cooking them in the broth. I would probably end up going again if I was craving shabu shabu, but if I really had a choice I would try a different place around Phoenix. read more

I came here for lunch with my sister. She's been wanting to try this place. It was very cute! There was no one there when we came in, so the peace and quiet was nice. I ordered the shrimp curry ramen and my sister ordered the spicy steak miso ramen. We both loved it and finished every last bit. It comes out super hot, so just be careful before starting to dig in. Amazing ramen in Anthem! I know it's hard to believe, since the restaurant scene in Anthem is very unimpressive. Everything is homemade and the noodles had great chew. I had the pork belly twice now on 2 different ramen bowls. They are observing the Covid rules and we felt very safe. The ambiance is modern and clean.
