This is one of my top favorite restaurants in OC if not the #1 Turkish restaurant for me. I love love love the food here and swear by it. The place is very well decorated, big and gets very crowded. They have everything you can think of from meat boats to big Turkish breakfast platters. Everything is well made and tasty. I think I've tried almost every dish on the menu at this point and none have disappointed. The breakfast tray is perfect to share for a Sunday brunch and the rolled up kabob plate is to die for 1000/10. Their kabob platters are really good too, shareable and a good way to try everything. LEAVE ROOM FOR DESERT because their rice pudding and their knafe is so so so good! Best Knafe I've had, it takes awhile for it to come out but it's so worth it. Their drive puddings are always ready to go in the fridge and get some to take home TRUST ME.

Was craving some Turkish Pide which is a Turkish flatbread usually with meat, cheese and sauce and saw this place offered it so wanted to give it a try. I tried my first one in Seattle at a place called Miss Cafe and really enjoyed it. This restaurant is located in a large plaza so there was plenty of parking. Upon walking in it was pretty busy on a Sunday around 11:30am, we were seated immediately. As we were leaving, there were plenty of people waiting for a table. Food I was hoping to order a combination juju boat but the waitress taking our order mentioned the beef is out of stock so therefore we ordered the Juju chicken pide. The flatbread was cooked nicely, the dough was thin, every bite didn't feel too heavy. However the chicken was really dry and didn't feel like there was enough sauce/cheese, ended up putting some garlic sauce on top and it made it a little better. We also ordered the combination platter which came with lamb Kofte, beef/chicken kebab and two sides. We chose hummus and salad as the two sides and it paired well with the plate. The beef was a little dry but the Kofte and chicken were pretty good. They also served us two flatbreads which was nice for wrapping the meat and dipping in hummus. The hummus tasted very fresh and clean with delicate flavors, wish it had a little more tart. Side salad was simple and fresh with olive oil and lemon juice. The Kebbah was piping hot but didn't have much flavor, think it needed some sort of sauce. Overall, the ingredients tasted very fresh and minimalistic but definitely can do with a bit more seasoning or sauce for flavor. Service was friendly and not overly attentive. The servers didn't offer any water or drinks. Almost every table had tea so we flagged down someone to place an order after ordering our meal. There was a little mishap with our order but the owner came over to the table and cleared up the misunderstanding and asked us if we needed anything. Didn't seem like they had a lot of staff for such a busy morning. The space felt very clean and very lively with the lunch rush.

In town for a conference from Hawaii. My last review was 6 years ago!! My gosh, however, I know I have been back about 4 years ago with no review. Whenever I get a chance to visit family SoCal I make sure to stop here for their Lahmachun. Today, I brought my friend and her daughter. My friends been to Turkey and she loved it here as did her daughter. We ordered the Chef's Platter, Spicy Lahmachun, Falafel plate, and for dessert we had their Kunefe. Chef's Platter is enough for three women with Spicy Lahmachun, however, the waitstaff said it wouldn't be enough. So we ordered the Falafel plate. No worries because we were able to split the left overs for each of us. The food was amazing! All of it!! My friend has been to Turkey and she said the food here was delicious. Surprisingly, she never had Kunefe. So of course we had to order one to share. We were so full we knew we couldn't eat it all but we're here let's do it. We are the whole thing and it was better since we had tea with it! LOL So much for being full. The staff are very friendly and the upgrades they made to the restaurant is stunning. Had made designs that took two years. Absolutely stunning. My friend said, "You know this place is good & authentic it's all locals not tourist eating here." I'm so glad I found this place on Yelp 6 years ago. Thanks for another great experience and glad this restaurant is still going strong. I enjoy returning to visit whenever I'm in town. I make it a point stop for a bite.

Every time I get my nails done I always come here after. Sometimes even I don't get my nails done I just come and eat here. The food is amazing! It's consistent and always fresh. The service is top notch! And the ambiance takes you back somewhere.. it's a family own restaurant and everyone is so welcoming and very homey... I recommend you try this place! I rarely make any yelp review but this one it worthy of a review!

After I recently visit to Istanbul, we were craving a Turkish Breakfast. I did a Google search and Koftegi popped up. I'm glad we went. The service was excellent and the guy there explained the different things on the menu. We ordered the Turkish breakfast, with the Turkish and egg scramble. We also ordered the Lahmajun, Simit & Baklava. All I know is the food was amazing. I was stuffed, but I felt i ate healthy food. Nice combination of sweet and savory. I liked the chocolate and sesame dip and all the cheeses. The restaurant made me feel like I was still in Sultanahmed, with is Turkish lamps, teas and paintings. This trip was well worth it. We will come again for lunch or dinner for the Pide and Doner.

Koftegi, "maker of meat patties" is a hidden jewel tucked away in a few miles of mini malls with dozens of restos clinging to life in Little Arabia. Most of those places have their cadre of regulars despite sticky carpet and a perpetual layer of Hookah smoke floating inside at eye level. Koftegi ain't that. It's spotless and inviting. Wander in and a pleasant fellow takes one last bite of his Falafel and stands to greet you. He'll walk you to any table you like in both dining rooms. A Turkish/Arabic loop gnawed at my Western musical sensibilities until I appreciated it's calming effect. The din of Turkish spoken here will eclipse the music and the Flatscreen showing reruns of Mucize Lezzetler anyway. As you sit down and make your nest, the Host hands you a 28 page Menu that resembles a High School Year Book. There are glossy photos of everything on offer. That'll get you salivating like Pavlov's Puppies in seconds. The Meat is all Halal, so open your Paypal. The food is healthy but it doens't hurt to be wealthy as the pricing is up-market. $15.99 for a small bowl of Tabbouleh Salad. So, don't be bashful and bring a bag that's cash full. Like good Olive Oil you get as much quality as your budget can handle. On the plus side, the food is fresh, well prepared, made to order so nothing gets parched and dried out under a heat lamp. The portions are heroic and the food delicious. No matter you'll take half of it home any way to serve as a platform for your morning eggs if you can find them and still afford them. The Menu features Turkey's greatest hits. While Turkish cuisine can be complex and elegant, this is comfort food doing it's job, making you full, happy and happy you came here. There are only a couple of authentic Turkish spots in SoCal so this is definitely worth a try. The Staff: Other than the Host, there is only one waiter. The work at the tire shop must have been slow and he landed here. Never mind, you came here to eat, and good food takes time to get from the kitchen to your plate. Here it is, now yemek! The Decor: Look Mom they shrunk the Grand Bazaar. Who goes here? Pats and Ex-Pats and the odd culinary adventurer, me. The Food: You already have the idea. The food is good here. It is. Help yourself to a huge helping of Hummus. Creamy and tangy with a wading pool of excellent Olive Oil and a sprinkle of Sumac. Juggle a thin Pita the size of a Hummer Hubcap and go to town with this. A lovely Green Salad with a light Lemony Dressing rides shotgun for the Garlic Chicken Garlic Chicken were Thighs marinated in Garlic, Yogurt and the usual suspects, Sumac and Za'Atar. The mound of Chicken chunks were grilled just right. Still moist and tasty as your secret Chicken fantasy all nestled in a warm Pita to soak up the juices. This dish comes with a mound of Rice, a Roasted Tomato, a Jalapeno should you need a treat of heat and a cup of pure lip puckering Garlic Paste to slather over everything you can reach, (except your date). The Beef Shish Kabob required a construction permit. Tender Rib Eye pieces stacked up like Legos. Cooked perfectly, oozing Beefy juices and still crispy at the edges. There are lot's of choices on the Menu as long it's Beef or Chicken. Vegans need not apply. Dinner will be ample and hardy, perfect for a cold night in So Cal. You know, when it dips to 68 degrees. It's wonderful even if it's 80 degrees in the dead of Winter. Koftegi will serve you well as it's truly guzel.

I love this place! Their cheese pastries are everything, and I'm obsessed with their breakfast platters, simit, za'atar... basically everything on the menu!!! The service has always been great, super friendly and attentive. Sure, it can take a little longer sometimes, but that's only because everything's fresh and baked right from the oven, which I actually LOVE. so good!

Came here after seeing it on Infatuation's list of Best in Anaheim -- note to self: don't trust Infatuation for OC restaurants. Food was mediocre...we ordered the Chefs platter $50, doner was out of stock, so they gave us more beef that was overcooked, best thing was chicken that was juicy and paired with a great garlic sauce. Hummus, bread, salad were standard, bland. Mini lahmacuns were sour, not sure if that was on purpose, either way did not taste good. Beef flatbread had overdone beef pieces, cheesy but not much flavor to it. Tres leches was fine, nothing amazing. Bad service...slow and unfriendly, we had to ask for water multiple times. When we asked for recommendations, he just shrugged at us. After we decided what we wanted, we found out some items we're about to order were out of stock for the night. Minus one star for service. Parking free in large lot in front.

This was our first time trying Turkish food. The food was all delicious. Service was okay. You just grab drinks from the refrigerator. I didn't like that there were no prices listed and everything was just $2 regardless of size. I got a can of soda thinking it would be cheaper, but it was the same price as a bottle of soda. We didn't find that out until we got the bill. They gave us complimentary baklava at the end which was nice. We were here with a friend who has a garlic intolerance. Basically everything on the menu has garlic in it whether it was in the dish or the marinade, which I think is just how Turkish food is. He still enjoyed the flavors. The environment was loud during lunch with lots of Turkish families enjoying their go to spot. read more

What a treasure this was place is! The food is spectacular! Everything at our table was delicious and the servings were excellent! THE HIGHLIGHT OF OUR MEAL WAS THE CHEESE AND EGG BOAT! The egg sounded odd so I was skeptical but I'm sooo glad we order that one because the hint of egg in it was delicious. A bit from the boat is understandable! A detail I completely loved and appreciated was the PICTURE MENU!!! As a visual person, that was sooo cool! I wish all restaurants did this! I want to share how amazed I was about the complimentary naan bread that's served! I've never been anywhere who does these, let's lone how generous they are. Been to Turkey and experienced how good were foods we enjoyed, made us drive all the way to this place. We ordered Lahmajun which basically their pizza style, tasted very authentic. And of course not to forget to order my fave dish, Iskender. The meat is dry in the outside and soft and tasty in the inside. The bread is quite generous. Service was fine. And the inside decor really makes me feel I am in Turkey, beautiful and strong of country ambiance The only downside to my opinion is the price (compared to other resto I tried) quite high. read more

Tried something new and really liked it. Decor is cute with Turkish lamps and artifacts. Food was also good and the chicken was not dry but overpriced for what you get. Hummus was good but the salad was pathetic. Just a little squeeze of lemon juice as dressing, so nothing special. The service was not great. The restaurant was half full and we were told our food would take some time but why isn't kitchen running on full speed on a Saturday night? Our food took 45 min to come and getting the attention of staff was difficult. Other tables were served before us even though they came in after us. I would try this place again but its not going to be a regular place we go to. read more

Oh my god! I can't even describe our experience. Such a beautiful restaurant with delicious food. And the employees were very nice and hospitable. They offered us a welcome appetizer and also a full baklava plate. They couldn't be more generous to be honest. A guy named Wassim was very nice to us an incredible person with professional attitude. Nice decor. Very Mediterranean tradition. Indoor seating or to-go Got the Chef's Platter $47.99. They didn't have doner, but replaced it with Adana Kebob. All the meats were so good, with bbq flavor! The hummus flavor was light and paired well with the meat and flat bread. Even the mini lahmajuns (pizza like) were so good and paired it with garlic butter....omg so delicious!!! Highly recommend if you want to try different meats they have. read more

I went here because I was craving Ful Medammes for breakfast. I haven't had this particular dish in about seven or eight years and I had a craving that was something fierce. lol I was in the area so I decided to try this restaurant. Honestly, I didn't even know this restaurant existed. I thought the building was just a clothing store behold to my surprise there's a small restaurant hidden inside. To the nitty-gritty : the Ful was amazing and so flavorful that I looked up a recipe about how to make it myself, so I wouldn't have to go so long without eating it again. The service that I received was top-notch. The lady who served me made an exception and gave me some Turkish tea to go even though it wasn't really on the menu as a to go item. I felt appreciated and taken care of, and I would definitely go back. read more

I've always had a great experience here whether it's eating here or take out. Very hospitable and friendly service. Food wise, I've never been disappointed with anything I've tried. Ultimately I always come here for the kunafah. Hands down the best I've ever had. After hearing so many great things about the Knefe here, today was the day we decided to try it and it was the best decision ever. Good knefe is very hard to find. Although Little Arabia has many places that serve it, I have never found the perfect Knefe until now. I called it in for pick up. The owner who answered the phone was so gracious and kind. He said 15 minutes and it will be ready and I hoped those 15 minutes went by fast. When I went to pick it up I noticed the restaurant was pretty busy. The traditional Syrian decor was the most gorgeous I have seen. Upon looking further I saw they had amazing kabobs and bakery items that included the Dubai chocolate. The staff is so welcoming and friendly. The owner once again greeted me and offered me tea while I waited. It made me feel like I was back home. Now to the Knefe. Absolutely delicious. If you are in the area and just want dessert you must go try it. It was crispy with a beautiful cheese pull. The flavors were perfect. It hit the spot. Not too sweet and for me didn't need any extra syrup. I will be coming back again and again for more goodness. read more

Amazing food Hidden gem in Anaheim Turkish food Was visiting Anaheim and thought to find a Mediterranean place Yelp brought me here and I am so happy it did Ordered Adana kabob with babaganouj and hummus, fresh baked bread and Turkish tea. These people were so rude to me they made me feel so embarrassed. I was trying to pay with a 100 dollar bill. It had a very small tear you could barely see unless you hold the bill to your eyes. Anybody would've taken it they made me feel like I was trying to pay with a fake bill made me feel like a criminal. Also last time I came there the food was very sour and they didn't even give me what I asked for waited so long I didn't even care anymore. Never coming here again. read more

Been coming here for over a year as a regular but will never come back again. The lady was slow, incompetent and didn't have the level of communications the owners usually have. We ordered something to go and communicated that it was urgent and we needed the food quick. As time went by we realized we had to go and they were not going to prepare our food in time. So we asked for a refund and she claimed it was actually done and all she has to do is get it. (Great? That would take 20 seconds top for that task). She goes in the back for 5 mins (timed). At this point we were VERY late and she had wasted our time by lying about the time then refused a refund. We couldn't argue or anything, we had to just leave empty handed... maybe it wasn't convenient for them to have a customer that's in a hurry...I get it. I do. But it did feel a bit betraying walking out empty handed with no solution, or even anything to mitigate the situation after being a regular. Like I said, the owners would never do this...and it seems like the lady I'm talking about has more than one bad review about her this week, it would be a good ROI to fire her. read more

I was there about 4 or 5 years ago and I absolutely loved the food!! We went back today and the food was horrible! We got a chicken shawarma and a beef doner shawarma . It was just a bunch a dry meat in a pita bread. No sauce, no spices, no pickles, or any other fixings inside the sandwich. Just dry and tasteless meat in a pita bread. We took it to go and when we made it home it was so bad we gave it to the dogs. That was very sad because we were looking forward for an amazing food. Definitely we won't go back.. oh, and it was expensive too. Whoever give this place 4 or 5 stars are lying lol read more

4.5. Place was crowded on a Saturday late morning. The cheese/sausage pide/boat was amazing. Like, haven't had something that good in a minute. Absolutely worth a visit just for the pide. Adana very good and big portion. High quality meat in the iskender and very good pita. Parroting a few other reviews on here, iskender was under seasoned. Luckily salt shaker on the table. Portions are large but its fine, add the pide and take home leftovers. read more

This place is a gem! We had some friends visiting from Canada and one of them were originally from Turkey. I mentioned to him that I've never had Turkish food and he found this place and it didn't disappoint! Everything we ate was amazingly delicious. And according to my friend it was authentic. Went for the first time last night and was pleasantly surprised! We ordered the chefs platter so that we could try multiple items and everything was pretty good. My favorites were the chicken and ribeye beef shish kabob. The drinks weren't on the menu but were in these refrigerators that you just go up and grab. The decorations were really nice and we didn't wait too long for food. (Went for dinner on a Saturday night) Was only able to take pictures of half the menu. Everything we had was amazing. Amongst 5 people, we shared the sarmar beyti, juju boat and chef's special platter. The hummus that comes with the chef's special was deliciously nutty. The Pita bread is thin but airy, which is hard to stop eating. Everybody was so welcoming and you can grab your drink from a wide range of bottled drinks in the refrigerator. I failed to take a picture but their tres Leche was so good. It's not overwhelmingly sweet but moist. The carmelized pistachio just made it 100x better read more

I was sooo excited to try this place because I've been craving authentic food like that in Türkiye. Inside decor is cute and Turkish. I got the chicken döner, içli köfte, and spicy lahmacun, as well as 2 simits to go. The service was just okay. I was sitting at a table waiting for my to-go order and they removed the table and chair I was sitting at (WHILE I WAS THERE) to give to someone else, but when I came back inside 5 minutes later they replaced it. As if they didn't want me sitting there...?? Rubbed me the wrong way with some of the employees brushing me off earlier when I asked questions. The food took a little while, but it was busy, so to be expected. It was fresh and hot, packed with flavor. HOWEVER I did receive the wrong order, but they changed it for me with no problems. It did take about 20 minutes for the right food to come though. Overall, döner is pretty good. Classic garlic sauce, pickles, and fries inside. I would say the food is on the higher end with pricing, so if you're looking for a quick lunch, this maybe isn't the place. read more

Under new ownership this place is a top rating eatery. The food is mostly Turkish. Lots of delicious baked savory pizza like but with a better twist. Cheese boats and pies some with pastrami or eggs or both. All yummy clean and fulfilling. They serviceTurkish breakfast all day. It includes eggs, variety of small savory and sweet breakfast items like cheeses and Carbor molasses and Tahini with hot Turkish tea and bread baked in shop. It was a rare occasion for me to dine at a Turkish restaurant in the US. In fact, this was my first time experiencing Turkish cuisine outside of Istanbul. Owned by a friend of my friend's in-law-to-be, the restaurant offered a selection of traditional Turkish dishes that we thoroughly enjoyed. The meats were prepared in the Halal style, and the flavors were exceptional. While it's difficult to discern between Halal and non-Halal tastes, I understand that some people have religious preferences regarding their food. The black tea I ordered complemented the meal perfectly, although it's worth noting that the restaurant does not serve alcohol. The Mediterranean-inspired decor and ambiance, along with the predominantly Middle Eastern clientele, added to the authentic experience. Overall, I would highly recommend visiting this establishment to sample delicious Mediterranean cuisine. The service definitely needs improvement. Our second order didn't arrive until after we had finished the first one completely. We were left wondering when the second order would be ready and had to remind the waitstaff about it. Their response seemed puzzled, and it wasn't clear if they understood our query. We even considered ordering something else, but luckily, the second order finally arrived about five minutes later. Wow, I stumbled upon Koftegi through a friend and it was like finding hidden treasure! The menu photos alone had my mouth watering, and boy did they deliver. I started with the grape leaves and it was like tasting them for the first time. The flavors were so fresh and authentic, it transported me straight to Turkey. Next up, the Cheese and Spinach Flatbread. The balance of buttery soft bread with a crispy crust and just the right amount of cheese was heavenly. I loved that it wasn't too cheesy, just the way I like it. But what really blew me away was the orange soft drink with real pieces of orange that melted in my mouth. I recently visited Koftegi and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience. After an hour wait to get a table, we were seated and placed our order promptly. However, guests who arrived after us were served their meals well before us. When we inquired about the delay, our server ignored us multiple times. Finally, when we managed to get their attention, we were told that our breakfast order would be served after the other guests big meals This explanation was not only frustrating but also completely unacceptable. We were starving and felt that our order should have been prioritized based on the time it was placed, not the type of meal. The poor service and lack of consideration made what should have been an enjoyable meal extremely unpleasant. I have a soft spot for Turkish. This was a good hidden stop, I float between LA and Houston and have my share with all types of foods, got used to this type because of in-law's family.
