Ok so I had to return again so soon. Did a little back to school shopping and a little for myself. Another great experience. Pam is the one who helped me this time and she was PHENOMONAL!!! I've worked at this store for 7+ yrs before I recently quit so I don't think this is a conflict of interest since I'm not there anymore. Since I've been here for so long, I know a lot of dirt, and I'm amazed this place hasn't been sued yet for disabled citizens violations or OSHA violations. I know of two instances where the #2 manager laughed when an employee was injured and one was the managers fault. The problems with this store doesn't fall with the employees, (except for the few boneheads they do hire) they work very hard, but with the management staff (including district manager) and it's customers. Managers and other people in authority treat employees who don't/won't kiss up to them like slaves or stupid children. Those in charge for down stairs don't care about upstairs and visa-verse. The #1 guy is descent but until he grows a pair and take charge to fire the #2 guy who doesn't know how to do his job and tells employees to put stuff where ever it will fit, this store will never get better. Fremont has some of the MESSIEST customers in the country, yet management (especially #4 manager) doesn't seem to understand that since sometimes they schedule only ONE PERSON to clean up after slobs for BOTH floors and then they get pissy at the employee for not being fast enough or efficient enough. Some customers literally pick something off the rack and toss it on the floor. Some drop their kids off in the toy area as if it's a play ground. So yes while the general disorderliness is management problems, for all you complaining about the mess, you need look no further then your fellow customers and sometimes into the mirror, especially if you've ever decided not to buy something and then dump it where ever. You know who you are. Oh, and for the tried-on panties (and how are they to stop the trashy people who do that), that isn't the most disgusting thing found in the dressing rooms left by a customer. read more

WHY IS THIS PLACE SO MESSY??? The sale prices are okay, the selection is okay, but this store is so poorly maintained! Clothes on the floor, fixtures too close together, stuff piled by the dressing room, stuff piled in the dressing room, messy tables...yuck! Honestly, when I see a sales ad I often opt to purchase things online to avoid having to wade through the mess. I've been to other Kohl's locations and they are beautifully maintained. My problem is with Kohls.com, but I was referred to the website by this store, to find a gift. I ordered and was charged for a Christmas gift on 11/28/14. To date (12/17/14) UPS has not received the item from Kohl's for shipment. After a ridiculously long phone tree experience I was told Kohl's would put a "Trace" on the item. I do not want/need a trace. I do not care where the item is, or what happened on their end. I just need them to physically send my order to UPS, so there is something under the Christmas tree to open. I was told a trace would take approx. 30 DAYS, then approx. 7 DAYS to refund my credit card. I don't want the refund, I want my item. Good customer service would be to send me my item (which is paid in full), immediately, and figure out your processing issues later. Poor form Kohl's. Christmas is about the people we love and share it with, and for that I am grateful. But, be assured I will never be a Kohl's customer again. I have Target, Penny's, Macy's, Walmart, Marshalls, TJ Max, all within a mile of this Kohls' location, so there is no need for me (or anyone I talk to) to spend my money there. Jeri read more

I arrived at your Fremont Kohls in the Pacific Commons shopping center and I received the most disappointing customer service from Linda in your cosmetics/jewelry department. I found a palette I LOVED from Lorac, there was only one left on the shelf and it was damaged. I brought it to the jewelry counter where Linda was "working" to ask her for a new one. She said oh I don't work there sorry. I asked if there was someone who could help me. She responded with, "what do you need?" So I told her and she informed me that the cosmetic girl was gone for the day and the cosmetics back stock room was locked. She said she would page a manager. And proceeded to continue her conversation with her colleague never paged the manager and told me I could continue shopping and come back and someone else would help me.--meaning she was going to be off the clock soon and she didn't want to help me. The person who relieved her went straight back to the cosmetics stockroom to double check to see if it was locked (which Linda didn't do) and the immediately paged the manager to have it opened. When there wasn't any in the back she immediately offered to call another store. I didn't get her name, but that's the way customer service should be. SO disappointed in Linda's service. I would give 0 stars for Linda's service, but her reliever stepped up to try to solve the problem... which is why I gave 2 stars. read more

I always shop at Kohls, Im there every week. It's a great store, but a little messy at times.. They have a great variety of clothes, which makes it easy for me to find things for my family. Having a teenage daughter is expensive, but the prices here make it affordable to buy her tons of clothes.. and clothes she actually likes. The shoe section is usually a little cluttered, but its not horrible.. The one at pacific commons is a lot better than most of the Kohls I have been to, and its a great store to shop at! read more

I want too start out by saying that I've been to other Kohl's locations and have been absolutely thrilled with the presentation and selection...but this one is an embarrassment! Every time I go I find racks that are so crammed with merchandise you need a crowbar to find your size or there are occasions when the racks seem like they only have 3 articles of clothing hanging on them. Not to mention clothes on the ground in the fitting rooms, messy piles on the tables, etc. If your store is that busy then hire more people to help clean up! And the staff - that's hit or miss too. I had a horrible experience a few months ago and haven't been back since. I wanted to purchase a dress for my daughter but realized it was missing the shrug. An associate on the floor helped me look for it, but when we came up empty, she told me that the cashier would give me a discount. I went to the cashier and told her that the shrug was missing. She proceeded to ring me up and gave me my total. I asked about the discount and she said, "Um, I'll give you 10% off." As I drove off I started to get more and more irritated. The shrug was the portion of the dress that contained the price tag. I'm pretty sure that it was worth more than 10% of the cost! So I got home and called the manager. Yikes, was that woman rude. At one point during our conversation, she seemed distracted. When I said, "hello?" to be sure she was still paying attention, she snapped at me, "Yes, I'm listening to you!" Man, I'd had it at that point - I straight up told her that I was treated poorly by the cashier and now I could see where she got it from. Like I said, Kohl's as a whole is great. Came to this Kohls to get a carpet cleaner on a Saturday and while getting ringed up they didn't deduct my 30% off coupon. Since the cashier already swiped my card the only way to include the coupon was to go upstairs to customer services. Since the escalator was out of service, the only way upstairs was to take an elevator. But, how convenient, they decided to close that too. One of the associates directed me to the jewelry department to fix the pricing issue. Waited at the jewelry department for 10 minutes for one of the associates to finish up with a watch band resizing issue. When she was finally done, she told me she couldn't do the price adjustment and that I had to go upstairs. At this point, I was furious. I spent more time waiting then shopping. I decided to return the item instead and buy the carpet cleaner at another Kohls closer to home. Similar to other reviews, be aware of long lines and bad customer service. read more

I always have good luck here. Employees are nice and the store is easy to navigate. There is plenty of parking (even during the holidays).

i went to Fremont, CA Kohls store today with family to do Xmas shopping. i had to wait 20 to 25 minutes to see just one watch at jewelry depart. There was only one employee. while my wife wait ( 20+ minutes) to pay, i ask for manager to speak. i had to wait 15+ minutes, the employee call twice then he showed up and wonder around three times near register and then came to talk to me. i express my concern that i had to with this long and as a customer i do not have that much time since i have much to shop. he seems do not care, i decide not to shop a Kohls any more. this big corporate do not care. stop shopping this place as they do not care about their customer and their time. read more

Unfortunately I have bad experiences every time I come to Kohl's. 1) I was returning a gift with a gift receipt. I walk into the store and do not see a return counter, so I get in the really long line and wait 15 minutes for the register clerk to tell me it is upstairs. So you have to go toward the back of the store to get on the escalator and go back across the store upstairs for the return counter. I received a merchandise credit card to spend at Kohl's. Oh no, I have to come back here again. So I decided to try to buy some things today before I left, which I did, but I still have $11 left to spend. When I went back downstairs the escalator was stopped so I had to walk down the stairs and when I went back into the checkout line to buy some thing with the merchandise credit, they changed to starting point of the check line! read more

i shop here frequently at this store and last week I went there to purchase several items for myself and Christmas presents. After shopping I went to get in line and there were 3 women standing by the cash registers, justt chitthating, after standing there for 10 minutes they said sorry these registers are closed and you can go over to the other side of the store where the registers are open. I said "really" and walked to the other side of the store where 1 cashier took 20 minutes to check out 4 people in line.Where is the management ??? I tried to contact the store manager or email management but there are soooo many layers to get to them, it is obvious they do not want to deal with the general public problems. I will not be shopping here any more and am returning to Penny's. read more

Today I was completely bamboozled by a Sales associate at this Kohl's. I have been a long time customer, shopping at Kohl's for many years now, and shopping at this particular Kohl's since it opened. Today while I was checking out, the sales associate told me that if I answered 5 questions that I could get 20% off of my purchase that day. Being the frugal person I am, I was not going to pass up a deal. I answered the extremely personal questions and within 20 seconds she told me I was approved for a credit card, and she had already charged my purchase to said credit card... WHAT?!?!?! I was never informed I was signing up for a credit card, nor would I have if I had even known that was what was happening. I am young, and I felt that sales associate was taking advantage of me being naiive. When I walked past another register to leave the store, a different associate asked me if I really wanted that credit card. I told her "No!" and that I felt like I was being played by the company. She kindly brought a manager over to me who said he couldn't do anything about it, other than give me a phone number to call and cancel. I left the store fuming! Signing up for a credit card and instantly canceling it ends up affecting your credit score in a negative way... So because I was taken advantage of by this sales associate, Kohl's has now affected my credit score. I called the store to talk to a manager when I left... He said nothing other than he would speak with his employees about fully explaining the credit card and 20 % off deal to their customers. I do not suggest people go to this Kohl's... The sales associates are shady and the management is unhelpful. I gave one star only because there was no option to give less... ZERO STARS KOHL'S!!!! read more

I applied her for a job a while back and they called me for an interview. 2 weeks later the supervisor calls me asking me if I am interested in being hired and would like to attend a job training. I told her I couldn't do it the week she had wanted me to go because I had finals for school and she told me she was going to call me back in 2 weeks for another job training available. She never called back. When I called 3 weeks later, I spoke to her and asked her if she was still going to have job training for me and all she kept saying to me was "We're not hiring." I can spend hours in Kohls looking through my favorite departments and returning merchandise to the right rack. I feel that I need to help salespeople straighten the shelves since they are so understaffed and I am tired of seeing a mess when I shop. Jewelry is probably the best department and has great and knowledgeable sales people. Linens and toys are the worst. Customers who shop there take out tablecloths and if the don't want them they throw them back on the shelves. I shop in Fremont because it is close but Pleasanton has the best Kohls. They even have people who want to help you and greet you when you come in. I would love to see our Kohls improve and I talked to the manager about my issues there and he was very interested and said he is trying to bring the store to a better place to shop. I wish him luck. I think that if the customers respected the merchandise we would have a clean organized store. I will still shop at Kohls and they do have great prices and coupons but let's all try to help make it a better store. read more
