What can I say. I don't have high expectations for Kohl's. It's not a discount store but it's not like a Bloomingdales either. But they could get better shopping carts and more of them. There have been several occasions where there were no shopping carts available. And on top of it, the ones that they do have always have messed up wheels. I like the location, it's convenient. But you think they could invest in making shopping easier for the customers. They have good customer service. I am always able to find someone to help out. Their kid aisle is a mess, but I don't mind that because it doesn't make me feel bad when my kid goes and plays in that area. read more

Worst customer service ever to the manager ! If I could, I'll give negative 5 stars. So here's my story... Went for the checkout and literally took 15minute because their credit card system is wack. I wanted to use credit card but it keeps popping up "enter pin." There's obviously an error on their system when I keep pressing "credit"- it goes to enter pin. How is it possible to enter pin on a credit card when it is not even a debit card. Fine, after 3 tries... I give up- so I just used another form of payment. The cashier apologize for the error and told the manager standing nearby. He doesn't apologize for the inconveniences but instead say there's something wrong with my card. I didn't even bother and didn't even say a word because I'm already frustrated. Then... He have the nerve to say to me, why are you ignoring me and started mumbling words. Wow!!! Great service- not! Usually is the other way around, the manager apologizes but in this case- the manager need reflect! "Not very clean..." is the impression of this store every time when I look at the shopping carts or stop by the shoes section. The three pairs of shoes that are showing as available in this store on their website are no where to be found when I was there. Only few pairs of size 5 and size 10 boots are available, all other boots are out of stocks. Wonder if they are keeping all the average sizes back in the storage? The signs are confusing, I went the opposite way of where the elevator actually is located. A friendly associate help me find the way up-stair (have a shopping cart so couldn't take escalator). That add a star to the original 1-star rating. They usually have short lines with long waiting time for check out, the cashiers seem to be working slow in average. read more

I'm a kohls member and like the combo of price and quality for my sons clothes. He's always growing out of them so fast and Kohls offers some good deals on quality children's clothing. Today I visited this location to pay my monthly bill. The service was above average so I decided to take a peek if they had anything for my boy. The second floor is for children's clothing. I found a pair of pants I liked but the only pair in his size were on the mannequin! So odd I know... The sales associate was so awesome, she helped de-pants the mannequin and get the item we wanted. Then I found out that because they were on the mannequin they were only $3.40!! Reg $20. Score! Thank you Kohls! Recommend! read more

Went to this kohl's today and the lines were huge. Me and the mama bear brought jewelry so we decided to wait in the line at the jewelry counter. It was pretty long as well but way shorter than the line at the mens/women's section. When our turn came up, the cashier- Helinda, refused to take us first and told us to go to other cashier. We told her our items were jewelry and she decided to ring us up. She told my mom that she would only ring her items and would not do separate transaction! This woman has to be the rudest cashier ive encountered at Kohls. Instead of a warm smile, this woman looked angry as hell and acted like she was doing us a favor. I'm not one to complain but today just did it for me. It started out at check out and I told the cashier at the register that I needed gift receipt for all the items that I just purchased. It should have been considered since I bought $167.00 worth of merchandise that's 11 items and 11 gift receipt. She cuts me off and says "at the end of the transaction". By the end of the transaction she forgets because she announced that she has to go to dinner and commanded her coworker to open up a register so she can go. Then realizing she didn't print my gift receipts as I was looking in the bag when I specifically requested asked for them. She was gone instantly. So I attempted to ask the next available cashier. She too blatantly said "I'm closed." Excuse me? You are still with the person before me. So I tell her "well the cashier that helped me didn't give me my gift receipt as I request that's all I want". Then she dare asked me if I requested it before the transaction and I said "yes" and now she is on break". She takes my receipt and scans it with attitude. This second cashier tells me she couldn't pull it up and I have to go to customer service. Now I'm furious because I am yet to deal with a third person. So I take the time to go up to the 2nd floor at customer service and now this third person tells me that she can't do it and that I have to go to the register that I was to retrieve the transaction to get my requested gift receipt. Really!?! Now I'm more than furious and I yell at the third girl "all I want is my gift receipts." "they tell me to come up here and now you want me to go back down again?" Then this girl says "I can do it here but I'm going to have to refund the whole thing and resale it back to your card. Its up you you! I'm beyond levied and I tell her NO! You aren't messing with my card. Tell your manager to meet me down there because it takes three people to mess up my experience with Kohl's when it should have been avoided in the beginning when this transaction should have been carried out properly with paying attention to your customer by listening to their request. So with the experience that i just went through, I feel this place should just be a self service department store! They don't have anyone assisting customers if they needed help to get hanged items above your head. I could've gotten it myself but I couldn't find the darn hook to get the item I wanted. They should just have self check out counters to do their job. At least the machines would be more efficient in carrying out your request for an itemize gift receipt at the time of transaction than a useless employee who has to announce that she needs to take her break. She was so in a hurry that she didn't bother to end the transaction courteously. The cashiers here are not efficient enough to carry out a transaction with just a simple request. They give you the run arounds and are not courteous when replying to you either. Sorry but I'm not returning to this place ever again. There are other kohl's that have better Customer service. I went to the new Babies/Toy's r Us to pick up some items and was going to go next door to Kohl's. I took my items purchased to my car and walked over to Kohl's. Keep in mind I had my son in his car seat in the cart still. So I get to the door and an associate turned me away and said I cannot come in with that cart. So I asked for one of theirs. Well there is no way you can safely put a child seat in their carts. So I asked to speak to the manager. While waiting the LP guy came up to me and said I cannot come in. So finally after waiting for 10 minutes the manager comes up and said I cannot bring that cart in their store. So I asked how can you accommodate me as a customer with a infant? He said I am not sure. I will tell corporate. How does this do me any good now. So I said, I cannot spend money in your store? Then I left. I have never been so embarrassed. So Kohl's is against mothers with out strollers or with tattoos? I don't get it?!?!? So please pass this along and maybe someone can help me out in this horrible situation! read more

Can we say ghetto? Okay I'll say it........GHETTO. This store is absolutely terrible, the people I've seen here (I'm not knocking everybody that shops here, just the ones I'VE seen), are just the bottom of the barrel, trailer park rejects. It's like they all decided to go out for some "classy" shopping and all winded up here. Why the harsh review you may ask? And before you start saying im a crazy, snooty bitch, just hear me out......... The two times I've been there (once when it first opened and the second with my husband, trying to find a cheap appliance......should've just gone to Target, but oh well, live and learn). Anyhow, the two times I've been here, the parking situation has not gone so well. (long stories to tell in such a short time), and everytime we've gone in there, we've always seen kids screaming their tiny little heads off while their parents drone them out and ignore them while searching for deals on underwear and when they get tired of screaming, start running up and down the aisles just waiting for you to trip over them so they can start screaming more. The staff is nonexistent, and when I've tried to look for something, someone is pushing their way into mine/reaching over me/or just being plain rude. Walked in for 10 minutes to purchase two pair of shorts during my lunch break. As I walked up to the cashier to make my purchase, the cashier accused me of stealing. She asked me "is that all you have? The shirt you're wearing is ours". I was like excuse me? I walked in wearing this. She said "there's a a price tag on it" I pulled what she thought was a price tag and it was my badge for work. Very unprofessional, especially to accuse someone of stealing. I will never come back here to this location nor shop at Khols again. You need to train your employees better. This was embarrassing and by far the worst experience I've encountered as a shopper. I love Kohls and like to shop there often, but the Fremont Christy St store is such a crap hole!!!!! There is ALWAYS clothes everywhere on the floor, and stuff strewn everywhere all over the store. I never ever see any employees walking around to pick things up and put them back on the rack. There is never anyone walking around to see if the customers need help. Truly it just looks like a bomb hit it..and the clothes rack are the tragic casualties. PLEASE.. I hope that some one who works there reads this and clean that place up. It didn't matter what time of the year; holidays or not--- place was always a mess!!! Clothes all over the floor, items were mixed up, can't find what you need. The store has almost everything you need from kitchen appliances, bedding to clothing. The only thing it's missing is food and then it can claim to be a Super Kohl's. The store is a complete mess and clothes are found everywhere. I can never find a shirt or pants in my size. Shoes are cheap, but again hard to find the correct size. They do have a good return policy and it is easier to return there, but the line for returns is long and there's only two employees working in the returns area. If I'm in the mood to just shop nearby but not spend so much money, I might come back. read more

The prices are OK here especially when you receive a coupon in the mail. What i don't like about this location is when I walked in the place felt stuffy. Place was a mess and not enough employees working the lines or cleaning up the mess. This is a 2 story building and there are some departments located upstairs. I went up the escalator and saw how much a mess the appliances were I took the escalator right back down. I prefer going to the Kohls in Milpitas@ the Great Mall. Best Kohl's experience in the bay! I usually shop in San Jose but I was in Fremont at the time and WOW! Big difference in employees. San Jose (Blossom Hill & Campbell) staff is really rude and never willing to help Find an item. Fremont staff helped and looked for items and check out was the best with Roxsan A. I forgot or lost my coupon and she was willing to give it to me. Other staff ( Campbell) forget that moms loose track of stuff and want you to inconvenience you by asking you to come back with the items and receipt and coupon to get the discount mailed to you. But thanks to Roxsan she's an understanding employee and explained to me about the other rewards and discounts we can receive and also helped us order in the store for the first time. read more

Whenever we go to this kohls there is always a problem. Last time we went I took my sister with me who was visiting from another city because they need to get something to wear. When she went to the check out the employee was so rude to her when she asked for a price check. He told her "the price is on the tag" but did not scan it. So my sister asked him to scan it again because sometimes the price is not the same. So he did and gave her an attitude while telling her the price. After that my sister tells him no that she doesnt want the item when he asked her "you want this or not?". Though my sister was fed up with his attitude she told him kindly to be more polite to customers. Yet again he was rude and said "next!" so instead of buying anything we left. His name was JOHN. The second time we were returning an item and since we had used kohls cash we were supposed to get store credit for that kohls cash. However the employee kept OUR kohls cash. We didnt realize that she had taken it until we got back home. So, when we went back a few days later the same lady was there and we explained what had happened to another employee who was standing next to her. The woman denied everything telling us that the kohls cash is non refundable (it is refundable since we had checked on their site and we have recieved them back in the past too). THEN on top of that they call in another employee and had him pretend to be their manager! That guy was so nervous he left to do something and never came back. To put it simply this kohls... -has bad customer service -has Fake managers - and has cheating employees It is extremely disorganized and messy. I will never go here again. read more

Parking is super easy here. Big lot out in front since this is part of an outside shopping center/plaza. The customer service has been consistently friendly every time I go here. I never wait in line for too long either. My only complaint is that the merchandise can get pretty messy sometimes. However, it's fine because they almost always have sales/promotions going on and that definitely makes up for it! :-) read more

The store itself is standard Kohl's, nothing to complain about merchandise-wise. The 1 star is more for the rude customer service, particularly in the upstairs customer service kiosk. I needed to change my baby's diaper, so as I went to the restroom area I noticed the family restroom was closed for maintenance. Fair enough. But I also noticed the entrance to the men's room was blocked by 2 "slippery floor" signs, so I took that as it being closed for cleaning as well. So I waited a while, but hear nothing in either rooms. So I asked the blonde lady in customer service kiosk around the corner if the restroom(s) would be opened soon. So she walked over to check, and very condescendingly said to me "oh, the floor is just slippery" and walked away.. looking me in the eyes the whole way back.. without moving the signs blocking the door. So, I had to remove both slippery-floor signs that were blocking the entrance myself before wheeling in the stroller to change my baby. I guess it was my responsibility to deal with hazard signs within the store. Didn't appreciate to cold stare down along with her "oh, the floor is just slippery" explanation. I usually don't have any problems with Kohl's and had good overall experiences at the other locations. I guess I'll just stay away from this one and stick with Milpitas a few miles down. read more
