I called about a online order. Was given the run around for over a hour. I was told one thing and was happy after the bullshit I was told. But only to wake up with a email telling to do what I called and told them I can't do. I'm handicapped and can't leave my place. Told them this it took three people to figure out how to help me. But that was a lie they just st wanted me off the phone it seems. Its more then sad and a shame how this shitty store treats someone that shops with them. will NEVER return to this store. My family has shopped at Kohl's for years, and are usually happy with the service....Up until now, this store has THE WORST customer service ever. I literally have never been treated so bad. Michelle (the checker) and Blanca (the manager) are both some of the worst people I have ever had to deal with. I was trying to purchase $600 worth of merchandise and they ran my card, it went through, my receipt was printed and as I was trying to load my stuff into the cart and leave michelle told me she would need to check my ID. I had no problem with this, and showed it to her. She then told me that it didn't match my debit card- which is did, and I said please look again. She then called the manager Blanca over who told me "sorry but we can't accept this." I was astounded. My purchase had already gone through and I had been totally willing to show my ID. I am not sure if they just can't read, or were purposefully trying to be rude but after spending 2 hours in the store, and 30 minutes checking out just to literally be forced to remove my stuff. They legit reached over the counter and grabbed it out of my cart and then told me this is for your protection. I felt like crying because at this point everyone was staring and it made me feel like I was doing something wrong. 100% will NEVER RETURN here, such a shame read more

If I could give less than one star... I WOULD! I heard so many great things about this store and their good prices, so I decided to goo look for a dress to wear to my friend's summer wedding. I looked around for awhile; didn't find a dress, but I found some cute tops, pants, and a skirt. I tried on a few outfits made my decision and waited in line. After waiting in line for nearly 10 minutes, I was next! I walked up to the cashier, who not only didn't greet me but didn't even look up at me. "Your total is $17.65," she mumbled. I gave her a twenty, she gave me my change, and handed me the receipt. "Next," she shouted. As I was attempting to put my change away I asked her to place my receipt in the bag, meanwhile the next customer had already arrived and placed her items on the counter. The cashier shoved by bag and my purse out of the way and began speaking to the women in Spanish. I was so insulted at the lack of respect and customer service, I went right upstairs to the return dept, returned my items, and explained in detail to the manager what had happened. I will never step foot into that store again and I hope she was fired! read more

I always find great deals in this store. Yet on 10/23/17 Eileen checked me out. She was the most efficient, patient and kind staff member! I got confused and could not locate my Kohl's card, she was respectful and actually dispelled my anxiety. read more

This summer I tried to return a pair of tennis shoes I bought with my credit card, but did not have the receipt. The Manager told me I didn't purchase it there as she could not find it on my credit card. I wear a size 10W and these did not fit. I do purchase in advance as it's difficult to find a 10W, but it was not more than a year prior as she was accusing me of. I was told "the size depends on what country the New Balance foot bed is manufactured in". Say what? A 10 has always been a 10 and should not run short. I was not able to return the shoes, so I boycotted the store for the last 6 months. All my business has gone to Steinmart. I'm just very disappointed I was treated so rudely and accused of buying the shoe elsewhere....so now I will buy elsewhere. Prior to this I was in the store several times a week. read more

Absolutely ridiculous experience trying to buy an item here. A corporate problem exacerbated by store issues. On my way to the store I had my wife go on line to search for an item. Found it and a price. Walked in and found the item but it wasn't priced so I went online to confirm it. Found it. Carried the item downstairs and stood in line for 20 minutes. Different price came up at the register. Told they weren't honoring online prices n store but I saw that I could order it online and pick it up in the store. Since I had already spent 40 minutes in the process, what's another 30 minutes going on my phone and ordering the item and then waiting for the item in my hand go behind the counter and go through the system for me to get an email to pick it up. Stupid promotion that a manager couldn't rectify on the spot and probably could've been avoided if 1) it is clear online site prices are only online and 2) that they priced the items correctly on the floor. read more

Kohl's Sucks! This company cancelled my credit card with them because I had not used it in a little over a year, just like that! No warning, no letter to use it, nothing! I went into Kohl's in Torrance to buy some work clothes and found out my account was deactivated for not using it! My girlfriend, who had not used her card in the same time period was fine, her card and account was still active! I have excellent credit, never had a late payment with Kohl's or anyone else and they just decided to cancel my account without telling me! How embarrassing to be told IN LINE at the store that your card is no good! I will NEVER EVER shop at Kohl's or ANY of their other companies again! read more

Great Store, They have a variety of good clothes, although their Petite Section seems to have shrunk in size(not as many items as they once had). Biggest complaint, however, the long lines at checkout. Why can't they put a cashier on the second floor. The lines below are so long, also there are people who have to lug their recently purchased housewares down the elevator all the way to the cashier, having to wait in a long line carrying a heavy load. They really need to treat their customers better. read more

I like Kohl's in general. But DON'T OPEN A KOHL'S CHARGE IN THIS LOCATION. They don't stick to their own rules. I didn't have a choice but to open my own Kohl's charge because my husband wasn't physically with me at the time of purchase. Upon paying, I was told that I have an extra 30% off which is valid for a week. The person who opened my account for me said something like "it will expire this day of next week". I came back exactly on the 7th day and shopped for a bunch of stuff. When I was about to pay, I showed the cashier person a receipt-like paper as my temporary Kohl's charge card since I haven't received the plastic card from the mail. The paper has the date of when I opened my Kohl's charge and the handwritten "30%" on top. To my suprise, I was told by the cashier that the 30% is no longer valid. I explained to her that I've just opened my own account exactly a week ago and was told that it's valid for a week. Then she started to scan my items. I requested if she could ask the manager first just to confirm. From a few feet away, I saw the manager's disgusted face as she shook her head implying that I am not entitled to that discount. The cashier came back and told me that the 30% off expired on ____ which was the day after I've opened my account (one day ago). I had to return a lot of items. I called the customer service the next day. And the only explanation they could come up with was "they could've counted the day that you've opened your Kohl's charge as day one" ---well.. What can I say? Good counting skills! read more
