Love this place. Definitely my go to sushi in Anthem. The staff are always so friendly, food comes out fast, and prices are very reasonable. I usually get an avocado or avocado/cucumber roll and the golden dragon roll, but other rolls I have tried have been equally good. I ordered their house lo mein (chicken, beef and shrimp), it was excellent! Sometimes at other places you worry that the shrimp will be fishy or the noddles are dry. I was very excited to finally try Koi Sushi, as I absolutely love sushi and was out of town when they opened. My favorite sushi restaurant is in Surprise, so I was hoping to find good sushi here in Anthem. I anticipated a wonderful meal since the reviews are fantastic. First, the good. The restaurant is impeccably clean and service is friendly and efficient. Unfortunately, the food was disappointing. I started with a seaweed salad, which is the appetizer I always order at a sushi restaurant. This salad was very slimy and sitting in a pool of liquid. It was very unappetizing. I then tried the seafood miso soup. The soup was served in a very large bowl and was lukewarm. The menu described that the soup contained shrimp, scallops, and crab. There was very little seafood in the soup, and it was almost all "krab." I wish the menu would have stated it was not real crab, as I don't care for the fake stuff. I also ordered the vegetable roll and the salmon avocado roll. The vegetable roll was average at best and the salmon was mushy and did not taste fresh. I do realize that as a new restaurant, there are always kinks to work out, and since the service is good, I'm willing to give Koi Sushi another try. read more

Ordered a medium spice orange chicken with vegetable fried rice and chicken egg rolls. First the amount of food is ridiculous. 18 dollars for a large to go container packed with soggy "orange" chicken, with zero spice drowned in a sugary sauce and a tiny container of friend rice, barely enough for 2 servings. The chicken egg rolls tasted freezer burned and deep friend. I managed to eat one egg roll and couple spoons of soggy, breaded, sugary chicken before being so disgusted and throwing the entire order in the trash. Not sure what changed but the food tastes like total shit and is expensive for no reason. I'll never order from this place again. Absolute waste of money. read more

Do you like fake krab sushi rolls and suspect spicy tuna additives? Than this is the place! Almost all The rolls had fake crab stuffed inside and tasted "off". The spicy tuna roll didn't taste like tuna at all. I asked what else was in the spicy tuna and they couldn't tell me. Maybe it's subway tuna. Maybe the hot Chinese food is better. The lettuce wraps were good, but again, full of filler. Nice and cheap, but so is McDonlands. The Frys sushi is literally 10x better. read more

We loved this place. Husband and I stopped in during their soft opening. Very clean, and super friendly staff. Menu is huge. I did the lunch special with the two rolls, rice and soup. Husband had the Kung Pao. Everything was super fresh and tasty. Came out quickly with nice presentation. We recently moved here and have a couple of other places and didn't care for them. To start this off good I am addicted to Gyoza and they did not disappoint, they were delicious I got the California roll as well and was a bit disappointed with the lack of cucumber in the roll. For me the cucumber adds such an important element to the roll as a crunch and it was really missed. All in all it was good but I hope my next visit is better. read more

There are not a ton of options nearby and the sashimi tasted fine, so this place is not terrible in a pinch. But this place is expensive for what you get. I'd recommend sticking to the happy hour offerings if anything to save a buck. Also, when I went in, the restaurant was mostly empty but it took a pretty long time for the sashimi plate to come out. I've ordered sashimi before, you cut the fish and plate it. Much less complicated than rolls or fried items. I think in the future I would rather just drive somewhere a little further if I really wanted sushi. read more

Finally a decent Chinese carry out place in Phoenix. Being from New York where you can't go a block without tripping over awesome Chinese food we were getting desperate. While it's not on the same level as NY it is tasty and fresh. Quality was great when it opened but have seen a bit of a decline in size and quality of the protein being served in their dishes. chicken chunks are getting smaller with more breading and the shrimp have gotten significant smaller too. However it's still the best around the Anthem area. Four stars when they opened, but only three now due to the decline in the size and quality of the proteins. read more

Don't let this place slip by you. We have sushi all of the time in San Diego and this topped anything we have had. The sashimi was like butter.
