I was there on a Monday for lunch. It was very quiet and not busy at all. It has a really comfortable open air. Nice ambience. The waiter was also the bartender. He custom made a Oaxacan old-fashioned for me. He used a cinnamon stick to make the drink a little smoky it was the best old-fashioned I've ever had. I think the serving size of the food was small, but I did order from a lunch menu and not the regular full menu. Still a little pricey for small portions. On the other hand, it was very tasty food To sum it up beautiful design and open air environment good help good food . Those are the good points. It has a feel of home cooked food - warm, earthy and mindfully cooked food served by kind and humble folks who value their service. Decor of the restaurant was very nice and had an upscale feel to it. The staff were all very friendly and service was great. The food was really good as well. My roommate and I came here for a Saturday brunch. We got the platanitos as an appetiser. It came on a bed of refried black beans and was drizzled with sour cream. They were soft and subtly sweet. The umami of the beans and the cream's light sourness rounded it out well. I ordered a borachito to drink, a cinnamon-spiced tequila hot chocolate which they make in-house. It was quite a strong drink but by no means overpowering. Altogether, the cinnamon, cocoa, and tequila went down well. For my main i had the huevos con chorizo. The chorizo came out great and the corn tortillas looked fresh. I recommend having this with their diablo sauce to give it an extra kick. The restaurant was furnished with lighter colours and there was a good amount of natural light, which was pleasant. Our server was very friendly and had a good sense of humour. I'll have to come back to try their lunch menu. 4/5. read more

There was a salad's worth of mint in our glasses! So fresh and amazing! Then for entrees we got the steak tacos, burrito gordo, chicken quesadilla, and cashew poblano enchiladas. Everything was amazing. Shout out to the poblano sauce being so flavorful and fresh. The gordo sauce was amazing. Could put that on EVERYTHING. And the quesadilla with the carmelized onions was so good and affordable. Would definitely get a quessadilla for the table because everyone should have a bite of that and it was easy to split four ways. Also, tortilla chips were so good! Went here with friends on a Friday night. First things first, food was good, but a bit more on the pricier side. My friend and I got our own Koko Burritos, my husband got the Chorizo Burger, and our other friend got the Steak Tacos. The burrito was good. I ate half of it because I got full. However, it wasn't mind blowing good for the price. My husband said the same about his burger. I feel my friend's tacos had more left to be desired since there were only two small tacos with small portions of rice and beans. However, we're also used to taco stands and mom/pop Mexican restaurants - it's just a different experience. That said, service was good! The host made sure we were seated in a good amount of time, and the waiter was attentive and followed up with us. The space is very nice! I appreciated the thoughtful decor. It did get a bit loud and hot at times, but not a big deal. Overall, a decent experience. Will I go back? Perhaps! It would be a good girls night out or brunch spot. read more

Koko's is a must! They opened their Seattle Capitol Hill location this past April 2024 and it's truly the best Mexican food we've ever had. Every dish is so beautifully crafted - the food really looks like the photos online. And the quality and freshness of each dish - is remarkably exceptional! The chips are made fresh ever day - and cooked perfectly! We tried the guacamole (best guacamole ever), all 3 salsa's, tuna shrimp ceviche, ahi tuna taco's, shrimp ceviche, kale salad (to die for) and poke bowl (so simple and so delicious). And beyond the beautiful decor and food - the service has been exceptional both visits. Our first visit we had the pleasure of having Steven as our server and if I remember correctly he is the Manager. He was so personable and treated us like royalty! It seemed like it's just in his nature. Then our last visit we had Kyle and it was the same exceptional service experience as prior. Kyle was so efficient, knowledgeable, and attentive. Koko's is so fortunate to have these outstanding staff members. Both times we visited were during the lunch hour and we ordered virgin margarita's light on the syrup and they were so perfect and refreshing!
