At first glance in I was greeted by what could only be described as family hospitality. My waitress was sweet and attentive, and answered all my questions. I was looking for some iskender, and Kolbeh did not disappoint. Their beef iskender is so tender, and the sauce and yogurt mix is absolutely tops in the area, I would take it home by the gallon if i could! I also got a shawarma wrap which was hot, with cooled pickled veggies and a great sauce. It's awesome this place is easy to find right at a mall entrance, a hidden gem in plain sight cause this is some of the best Turkish food I've come across. It was also nice that everyone on the staff (cook included came by the front) asked how everything was. There's a few tables, kinda feels a little crammed and narrow when you dine in, but I'm a big guy so I feel crammed everywhere I go. Anyways, one hundred percent will be back to try more things on the menu cause these guys do it right. read more

We had brunch here today and everything was amazing! Staff was great and friendly and the spread was amazing. We got the special Kolbeh platter, pancakes and omelette and everything was so yummy. This is a once in a blue moon type restaurant where you can never go wrong with a single item on the menu. From the appetizers to the mains to the dessert, they never missed not once and it all tasted so fresh! The service was A1 and made us feel very welcome and taken care of. Kolbeh's food and service are outstanding. This is my second visit to this Turkish restaurant in Fair Oaks Mall. I had the doner kabob platter and fried eggplant. Kolbeh is a new Turkish restaurant located in Fair Oaks Mall near an entrance. It offers take-out counter service and tables with waitress service. We opted to sit and had a meatless lunch with lentil soup, fried eggplant, Gavurdagi salad (a chopped version of a Greek Village Salad of tomatoes and cucumbers), and fresh watermelon juice, followed by pistachio baklava and hot tea. Everything was fresh and tasty, served with a smile. A television screen showed a food tour of Istanbul, inviting you to eat more. We will return to sample a menu that includes Turkish breakfast items, sandwiches, pide, pizza, donner kebabs, and pastries with Turkish coffee and tea. I came with my service animal in my bag, but after I placed the order, they told me they didn't accept even if I had a service animal. We placed our order in bile and they kicked us out even before the food arrived. Not accepting a service animal is illegal. I will deal with this restaurant until the end. I will use all my legal rights. The owner and staff are so ignorant that they don't even know the difference between a service animal and a pet. I will write hundreds of comments so everyone knows what kind of people they are. I'm also gonna complain to the county. The restaurant owner cannot refuse to let a service animal into the restaurant. That is not allowing someone who needs a service animal into the restaurant and that is a form of discrimination. read more

Last week, based on Someone's recommendation, we went to this Restaurant in Fair Oaks Mall. The ambiance was good, the food was OK, but: 1- The price difference between the paper menu and what we were charged, was staggering. 2- There was no itemization of the stuff we ordered on the bill, just one figure that was shocking. 3- I didn't know about the amount that they charged since my sister paid for it and obviously didn't say anything until today, when I said we might go to the same restaurant again. She said that she was charged a total of $250.00. The said amount was for 4 people who chose from their lunch menu, which is typically less than the dinner menu. Just an example: The owner charged her for the appetizers that he offered, "I will get you something while you are waiting, on us". The bottom line: Be careful and make sure you check the prices first. read more

We went there last night for dinner. Food and staff are good. The Adana kebab was excellent. Shawarma was nice. But the unfortunate part is they charged us wrong. We ordered $96 worth food and the waitress got those handheld card machine where my husband could just see the total. They charged us $114. I was busy complimenting the owner for the food. Once we got to the car, when I asked my husband about the bill, I calculated that they charged more. My heart goes out to small businesses, but bad business practice is never acceptable. read more
