Truck
Akiko I.

- Locale Destination - It's a food truck. I guess you can find them either FaceBook or Twitter. Everybody bought it with cash, so I believe CASH only.. Most trucks are like that. - Gluttony Expedition - - $3 for regular size and $4 for large size shaved ice. - You buy the shaved ice, and can pick flavors out of 10 syrups (you can pick whatever you like - there's a section with self dispensers). I think the syrups tasted a little thicker than normal Hawaiian ones. Interesting flavors. - The shaved ice is very chunky. I'm very spoiled by amazingly fluffy Taiwanese shaved snow :p So I'm not a fan of this. - They also have ice candy bars. - Conqueror's Deduction - It might be good for die-hard Hawaiian shaved ice fans or kids. But some Hawaiian shaved ice isn't chunky like this. So I don't say I don't like it. I just prefer the fluffy Taiwanese shaved snow. It's kinda cool that you can pour whatever the syrups you want by yourself, but that's about it. I'm not a fan of this "chunky" shaved ice.

20 flavors, free condensed milk, Mochi, Vanilla Ice Cream. Sour Spray... Sadly this truck doesn't offer any of that. The menu is real simple, buy a small or large Styrofoam cup of ice, and help yourself to one of the 10 flavors they do have. The self-serve flavor is a great concept on paper; but how much syrup does one put on? Believe it or not there is too much of a good thing. Why not at least put up a sign saying how many pumps is best? it isn't bad, because I think bad shave ice is impossible, but it really isn't any better than a Slush Puppie at an anonymous gas station mini-mart. I had a large for $4.00 and and chose Tigers Blood and Pina Colada Flavors. Neither one was outstanding. I don't know if they make their syrups from scratch or buy the bottles at Smart and Final. Either way they were underwhelming. "Gourmet Food Truck #91 on my never-ending quest to try every truck in So Cal"

It tastes the best. Better than ice cream. I got the combination of cherry, coconut and vanilla. I liked that it uses natural ingredients.

We paid for the shaved ice on Saturday, and it was such a hit, we ended up paying for more so we didn't run out.

Wow! I am in love with this birria truck. First things first, the address on Yelp is not the right…read moreone. They're not there anymore. They're at 16592 Hale Ave, Irvine. By the District. Make sure you go to the right location. There's plenty of street parking. It is a truck, so no seats or tables, but that's not an issue, just eat in your car LOL. Now the food....one of the best birria I've had. I ordered 2 crunchy tacos with cheese. They were sooooo good. Perfect amount of cheese, meat and the tortilla was crispy just how I like it. The consome, wow! It was very flavorful, tasted like actual consome. Other places it'll either taste like too many condiments/spices or watered down. This one though was 100% consome. I don't dip my tacos, I sip on my consome, so I did add a little lime, but still was able to taste how good the actual broth was. I didn't try the green salsa, but my bf liked it, he said it wasn't spicy. The red one, I did try, and it was perfect for me. It has a little kick at first, but then it's not too bad. Really good salsa though. Highly recommend the red for the tacos. They also have Mexican sodas, Coke, Sprite, Jarritos, and I forgot what else. The service is great. Didn't get his name, but he was really nice and friendly. We just went yesterday, but planning on going back today.

Omg so upset we took so long to try. I went after work and messaged thru instagram to find out where he was located. In the bend behind where you usually see him. So got the tacos for my boyfriend and I got the quesadilla. Absolutely delicious. Moist and flavorful couldn't get enough. All the sides and fixins! Such a pleasant owner too. I cannot recommend more and can't wait to take my friend on lunch soon. Thank you for a wonderful dinner that night! Will definitely be back and recommend to everyone!

We have had The Burnt Truck's food before and really enjoyed everything we ate so I was excited to see that they had a catering option. I reached out to The Burnt Truck a couple months before our daughter's party to get more information on how their catering would work for a private event. Minh immediately got back to me with menu options and pricing. We reserved the date, made our deposit, and they took care of the rest! We had around 60-70 guests and each person got to choose from four sandwich options (cheeseburger slider, friend chicken slider, mozzarella slider, or PB&J slider) as well as their choice of fries or tots. The standard time slot for private events is 2 hours of food service, but since our party was longer than that, we opted to pay for an extra 2 hours of time. In the end it worked out perfectly because our party was on the smaller side and our guests were able to get food at the start of the party, then go back and order seconds later on before the party was over. Thank you to Minh and team, the food was excellent and our guests were 100% satisfied! I would definitely recommend The Burnt Truck for easy, stress-free catering!

We had about 300 guests and brought out two trucks to ensure quick service. It was the right call -- the lines moved fast, no one was stuck waiting, and the entire flow felt organized and seamless. For an event where timing and guest experience really matter, that level of efficiency was huge. The food was outstanding across the board. The steak tacos were a crowd favorite -- perfectly seasoned and packed with flavor. The potato tacos were incredible and didn't feel like a "secondary" option at all. The quesadillas were fresh, melty, and made to order. Everything tasted vibrant and high quality. What impressed us most was how professional and prepared the team was. They showed up early, set up quickly, and handled the volume with confidence. The trucks looked clean, modern, and added to the atmosphere of the event. If you're looking for large group food truck catering in Southern California -- whether it's vendor appreciation, corporate hospitality, or a client event -- The Lime Truck has the capacity and operational strength to execute without stress. We trusted them with an important partner, and they made us look great.

I tried just about everything they had on our list... Potato tacos, Brussels sprouts Steak quesadilla Seared ahi taco The items were small, but I ordered more than once. I would DEF get it if it was in the hood.

The plus side this time around is that they have a completely covered area to eat your food. Picnic benches are laid out with a full awning. Parking is still great. Services dependent on what vendor you buy your food from some will accommodate the request and others will not. Of course if there's no accommodation to the customer, they've lost my business.

[Parking]: $15 per vehicle for on-site parking just to enter the OC Fair & Event Center. [Admission]: Our party purchased the same-day tickets and paid a $16 per person entry fee. [What to expect]: The market was approximately half food vendors and half arts / crafts / gift vendors. There were solid craft and gift vendors, but not too many art vendors. The food was extremely overpriced ... a simple appetizer = at least $15+ & a filling meal = at least $25. The only real positive? There was a mahjong area that offered free lessons. The performance stage was alright. [Food]: Our party ended up getting only 6 pieces of soup dumplings (aka XLB) from Dumpling Dream for $14 and a cup of gelatea from Boutcha for $7.20 (one of the most affordable and best item to get at the market). [Conclusion]: If I ever come back to 626 Night Market, I would probably stick with the Arcadia location as parking is free and the admission fee is slightly cheaper. I am still having a hard time digesting the fact that getting into the market cost $30+ before even buying any food if I come here alone and I would also need to spend another $25+ just to feel like I had eaten a legit meal. I am good with this one-and-done visit.
